The ₱10,990 price was part of a Lazada Philippines sale on March 27, 2021. India’s ₹24,999 and ₹26,999 prices were launch-era prices from September 2020. No live M51 offer was verified in the sources checked as of August 16, 2026, so treat any listing you find now as a separate used, refurbished, old-stock or imported sale—not as a continuation of those promotions.
Which Galaxy M51 deal is being advertised?
The prominent Philippines discount was tied to the Lazada Birthday Sale on March 27, 2021: the reported price fell from ₱19,990 to ₱10,990 at the Samsung Lazada Store. That was a dated promotion, not an evergreen price or evidence of stock today. Contemporary Philippines coverage of the promotion describes the sale and its date.
Likewise, the India prices found online belong to the phone’s 2020 launch period. Samsung’s U.S. Certified Re-Newed catalog, as checked for this article on August 16, 2026, listed newer Galaxy families but not the M51. That does not prove no marketplace has a unit for sale; it means a U.S. M51 listing should not be mistaken for an official Samsung U.S. renewed offer. Check Samsung’s Certified Re-Newed catalog for its current lineup and terms.
Historical Galaxy M51 prices, by market
| Market and offer | Reported price | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|
| India launch, 6GB RAM / 128GB storage | ₹24,999 | Launch-era price reported in September 2020 coverage; not a current price. |
| India launch, 8GB RAM / 128GB storage | ₹26,999 | Launch-era price reported in September 2020 coverage; not a current price. |
| India Amazon Great Indian Festival promotion | ₹22,499 | Archived 2020 sale price; not a current offer. |
| Philippines Lazada Birthday Sale | ₱10,990, reduced from ₱19,990 | Samsung Lazada Store promotion dated March 27, 2021; not a current offer. |
The India launch sale was reported to begin September 18, 2020, after the September 10 launch. Launch coverage also described HDFC card discounts, exchange benefits and no-cost EMI, all tied to that period and eligibility. The prices and launch offers are reported in India launch coverage; the later ₹22,499 promotion appears in archived Great Indian Festival coverage.

What the Galaxy M51 offers—and a specification to verify
India launch coverage describes a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display, Snapdragon 730G, 6GB or 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and microSD expansion up to 512GB through a dedicated slot. The camera arrangement is 64MP main, 12MP ultrawide, 5MP macro and 5MP depth at the rear, with a 32MP selfie camera. USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC and dual-SIM/4G LTE support are reported for applicable regional versions. The phone launched with Android 10 and One UI 2.1. See the India launch specifications for the regional context.
Battery and charging figures vary by source
India launch coverage reports a 7,000mAh battery and 25W charging. The Philippines article’s specification table instead lists 6,000mAh and 15W, even though its descriptive copy mentions 7,000mAh and 25W. Because that page is internally inconsistent, do not assume the table or a seller’s generic description identifies the exact unit. Ask for the precise model number and confirm its battery and charging specification before buying. The India figures are reported in India launch coverage; the conflicting Philippines figures appear in the Philippines article.

Why the M51 can still appeal
- Large-screen AMOLED: Its 6.7-inch display remains a useful feature for video and everyday viewing.
- Legacy conveniences: A headphone jack and expandable storage are useful if you specifically need wired audio or a microSD card.
- Battery capacity: The India model’s reported 7,000mAh capacity was a standout at launch. Actual endurance now depends heavily on the individual battery’s age and condition.
- Basic everyday use: The Snapdragon 730G can still serve routine tasks, but it is an older 4G platform, not a route to 5G.
Why a cheap listing can be a costly buy in 2026
The M51 launched in 2020 with Android 10. Its age makes battery condition, repair history and software security more important than the original specification sheet. The available information does not establish a precise software-support end date, so do not rely on a seller’s promise of future Android or security updates; ask for the installed Android version and security patch level instead.
“New” or “sealed” only describes the seller’s claim about packaging, not battery health. A stored battery can age, while a used or rebuilt phone may have a replacement battery, screen, charging port or other parts of uncertain quality. Imported units add potential carrier-band, VoLTE activation, local warranty and repair-support problems. Even a functioning device can be a poor value if it needs a battery replacement soon or cannot be returned.

How to evaluate a Galaxy M51 listing before paying
- Establish exactly what is for sale. Get the full model number, RAM and storage variant, country of origin, and written condition: new old stock, open-box, used, seller-refurbished or manufacturer-refurbished. “Global” is not a model number.
- Verify carrier compatibility before purchase. Compare that exact regional model’s LTE bands with your carrier and confirm VoLTE support and activation. Do not treat “unlocked” as proof that every network feature will work. For a U.S. purchase, ask the carrier to confirm compatibility before the return window closes.
- Get evidence of condition. Ask whether the battery is original or replaced, what battery-health guarantee applies, and whether the display, cameras, fingerprint sensor, speakers, microphone, NFC, USB-C port and headphone jack have been tested. Check the IMEI through an appropriate carrier or device-check service, and do not buy if the seller will not establish that it is clean and usable.
- Check the return and warranty terms. Confirm who provides the warranty, its duration, what it covers, and who pays return shipping. Imported marketplace stock may not have local Samsung service or economical repair options. A refurbished-program label is meaningful only when you have read that program’s actual grading and return terms.
- Calculate the delivered ownership cost. Include shipping, tax, import charges, any missing charger or cable, and a likely professional battery replacement if battery condition is unknown. Compare that total—not the sticker price—with a newer phone and its warranty.
For example, a low-priced imported M51 with unknown battery health and no practical returns is not equivalent to a tested, returnable refurbished unit at the same price. The risk-adjusted cost is the listing price plus likely repair and import costs, less the protection the seller actually provides; there is no verified current M51 market price here from which to claim a universal “fair” price.

| U.S. unlocked model (128GB) | December 2025 MSRP | Why compare it |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy A15 5G | $169.99 | Lower reference price and 5G; compare current support and condition on the actual listing. |
| Galaxy A16 5G | $169.99 | Another lower-cost 5G reference point, rather than paying a scarcity premium for an old M51. |
| Galaxy A26 5G | $299.99 | A newer midrange option to weigh against a repaired or imported M51. |
| Galaxy A36 5G | $399.99 | A higher-priced option for buyers prioritizing a newer device over the M51’s legacy extras. |
| Galaxy A56 5G | $499.99 | A still higher reference point; not a like-for-like budget substitute. |
For buyers who prefer refurbished stock, Walmart’s Restored Android phone category and eBay’s phone listings may show varying inventory. The category or marketplace alone does not guarantee the condition, battery health, model, warranty or return terms of an individual listing. eBay’s published refurbishment grading criteria distinguishes battery and parts standards by grade; check the applicable grade and seller terms rather than assuming every refurbished phone meets the same standard.
When buying an M51 makes sense
- Its price is substantially below a newer, compatible unlocked alternative after repairs, shipping and taxes.
- The model number is known and the buyer’s carrier confirms LTE and VoLTE compatibility.
- A credible seller documents condition, provides a usable return window, and addresses battery health or replacement.
- The buyer values the M51’s large display, expandable storage or headphone jack more than 5G and predictable long-term software support.
Pass if the price approaches a newer supported Galaxy, the seller hides the model number, battery or return terms are unclear, or the phone’s imported status makes network use uncertain. A discontinued model can cost more than its practical value simply because stock is scarce.
