The 17 hours 39 minutes 1080p figure is strong evidence that the large battery and HD+ screen suit local playback. It is not a guarantee of 17 hours of Netflix or YouTube: streaming adds modem or Wi‑Fi activity, notifications, changing brightness, speaker use and codec or DRM overhead.
