The broader 2026 iPhone 17 family now also includes iPhone 17e in soft pink, white, and black. Here is the model-by-model list using Apple’s official names.

iPhone 17 colors
The standard iPhone 17 has the widest palette in the original lineup:
- Black
- Lavender
- Mist blue
- Sage
- White

Apple’s technical specifications describe a color-infused glass back and specifically list black, mist blue, sage, and lavender in the construction details: iPhone 17 technical specifications. White is also part of Apple’s official retail color lineup.

At 6.3 inches, the iPhone 17 is the straightforward choice if appearance matters more than having a Pro-exclusive finish. Its launch storage options were 256GB and 512GB.
iPhone Air finishes
Apple calls the product iPhone Air, not “iPhone 17 Air,” and uses the term “finishes” for its four options:
- Space black
- Cloud white
- Light gold
- Sky blue

The 6.5-inch Air is positioned around a thin, lightweight design and polished-looking surfaces rather than the largest color selection. It launched with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage, and its U.S. launch price was $999. Those are September 2025 launch figures, not a guarantee of current pricing or regional availability.

iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max finishes
Both Pro models use exactly the same three finishes:
- Cosmic orange
- Deep blue
- Silver
Apple lists this palette in its iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max announcement. The 6.3-inch iPhone 17 Pro and 6.9-inch iPhone 17 Pro Max do not have separate color ranges; model differences are primarily size, battery capacity, storage configuration, and hardware.

The Pro launched with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities. Pro Max adds a 2TB option. U.S. launch pricing was $1,099 for Pro and $1,199 for Pro Max, as stated in Apple’s September 2025 announcement.
Is there a black iPhone 17 Pro?
No. Apple’s official Pro and Pro Max finishes are cosmic orange, deep blue, and silver. Deep blue can appear very dark under some lighting, but Apple does not call it black. Use “deep blue” when identifying the finish.
What about the iPhone 17e?
Apple expanded the 17-series in 2026 with iPhone 17e. Apple’s current store presentation lists soft pink, white, and black: Apple iPhone store.

These 17e colors were not part of the September 2025 flagship reveal. If you are comparing the original launch lineup, use the four models announced together; if you mean the current family, include 17e as the later addition. Regional stock and available configurations can change, so check your local Apple Store before ordering.
Which iPhone 17 model offers the most choice?
- iPhone 17: five colors.
- iPhone Air: four finishes.
- iPhone 17 Pro: three finishes.
- iPhone 17 Pro Max: three finishes.
- iPhone 17e: three colors in the expanded 2026 family.
Choose the standard iPhone 17 for lavender, mist blue, sage, or the broadest overall selection. Choose Air if its thin design and light gold or sky blue finish matter more than variety. Choose either Pro model if cosmic orange or Pro hardware is the priority.

Apple supplies official names, but it does not publish a universal color measurement for consumer comparison. Lighting, display calibration, reflections, and cases can change the perceived appearance. Cloud white, light gold, and sky blue may look subtler or more reflective than product imagery suggests. The Air’s polished titanium design and the Pro’s aluminum unibody also affect reflections and perceived saturation. Those observations are visual considerations, not specifications or durability claims.

Official colors versus rumors
Pre-release renders and social posts sometimes predicted black, gray, blue, orange, or other Pro shades. Once Apple announced the phones on September 9, 2025, those reports became historical speculation rather than evidence. The authoritative list is Apple’s newsroom announcements and current retail pages.
Phone colors are not case colors
Apple’s accessory palette should not be added to the device-color list. For example, Air accessories include frost and shadow cases, matching bumper colors, and a Crossbody Strap offered in colors such as black, light gray, blue, light blue, purple, sienna, green, neon yellow, tan, and orange. A clear case preserves more of the phone’s finish, while an opaque case changes the visible color. Neither case choice creates an additional iPhone finish.
Buying links and availability
Color availability can vary by country and inventory. Confirm the finish, storage tier, and delivery date on the Apple Store for your region rather than assuming every launch color remains available.
