Its defining upgrade over the Bip 5 is a 1.97-inch AMOLED display replacing the older 1.91-inch TFT panel. Built-in GPS, Bluetooth calling and extensive fitness tracking add value, while Amazfit rates the 340 mAh battery for up to 14 days of typical use—but only up to six days under its heavy-use scenario.
Launch date, price and current availability
Amazfit announced and made the Bip 6 available on March 31, 2025, through Amazfit.com and Amazon in the United States. The listed U.S. price is $79.99. That is the product’s launch and current-generation date, not a new August 2026 release. The official U.S. product page still lists the watch at $79.99 as of August 18, 2026, although stock can differ by color. Check the status of the specific variant you select at Amazfit’s Bip 6 product page.
Available color listings include Black, Charcoal, Stone, Blush and Red, but a product being listed does not guarantee every color is in stock. Prices and availability outside the U.S. can differ.

What changed from the Bip 5?
The screen is the clearest generational change. The Bip 6 moves from the Bip 5’s 1.91-inch TFT display to a larger AMOLED panel, bringing deeper blacks, higher contrast and a more watch-like appearance.
| Feature | Amazfit Bip 6 | Amazfit Bip 5 |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 1.97-inch AMOLED | 1.91-inch TFT |
| Peak brightness | Up to 2,000 nits | Not stated in the cited Bip 6 sources |
| Battery rating | 340 mAh; up to 14 days typical use | Not stated in the cited Bip 6 sources |
| Construction | Aluminum-alloy frame with fiber-reinforced-polymer case | Not stated in the cited Bip 6 sources |
| Water resistance | 5 ATM | Not stated in the cited Bip 6 sources |
Wareable confirms the 1.91-inch TFT-to-1.97-inch AMOLED change in its launch coverage: Bip 6 official and available now. The Bip 6 should therefore be described as aluminum-framed, not as an all-aluminum watch.
The 1.97-inch AMOLED display in detail
Amazfit specifies a 390 × 450 resolution, 302 pixels per inch and peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. The panel is covered by tempered glass with an anti-fingerprint coating. Its larger rectangular area gives notifications, workout figures, maps and watch faces more room than the Bip 5’s screen.
The 2,000-nit number is a peak specification, not a promise that the entire display remains at that level continuously. Automatic brightness must be enabled to reach the stated maximum, and Amazfit says the maximum is unavailable when the battery is below 30 percent. Always-on display, high brightness and frequent screen activation are also among the settings most likely to reduce endurance. Full specifications are on Amazfit’s product page.
Rank #2

Battery life: four different ratings
The headline “14-day battery” needs its test context. Amazfit’s own ratings are:
| Use case | Manufacturer rating |
|---|---|
| Typical use | Up to 14 days |
| Heavy use | Up to 6 days |
| Battery Saver mode | Up to 26 days |
| Continuous GPS | Up to 32 hours |
| Full charge | Approximately 1.5–2.5 hours |
Amazfit’s heavy-use estimate includes one-minute heart-rate sampling, sleep, stress and eight hours of sleep-breathing monitoring, 150 pushed messages per day, Bluetooth calls, frequent screen activations and three GPS workouts each week. That makes six days a more useful planning figure for an active owner than assuming two weeks in every configuration. Always-on display, repeated GPS sessions, calls, high notification volume and intensive health monitoring can reduce runtime further. Battery capacity is 340 mAh. These figures come from Amazfit’s specifications, not an independent battery test.
Fitness tracking, health sensors and coaching
The Bip 6 supports more than 140 sports modes, smart strength training, and automatic recognition of 25 strength-training movements and seven other sports movements. Zepp Coach can create personalized plans, including running plans for 3K, 5K, 10K, half-marathon and full-marathon distances.
Health and wellness tools include heart-rate, blood-oxygen, stress, sleep, sleep-breathing, heart-rate-variability, nap, readiness and PAI measurements. A one-tap measurement combines heart rate, stress, blood oxygen and breathing rate in approximately 45 seconds.

These are wellness and fitness measurements, not medical diagnoses. Readings can vary with fit, movement, skin contact and other conditions; use a qualified clinician for medical decisions. Feature details are listed on the official product page.
Built-in GPS and what its maps can—and cannot—do
GPS is built into the watch, with support for five satellite-positioning systems, so outdoor workouts do not require the phone to provide location data. Positioning speed and accuracy still depend on satellite visibility and the surrounding environment.
Maps and routes require preparation in the Zepp app. Amazfit’s support instructions explain that users download OpenStreetMap-based map areas, import a route file and send it to the watch before a workout: Bip 6 map-management instructions. The watch can follow an imported route and display downloaded map areas, but it cannot simply accept an arbitrary destination on an offline map and calculate a complete route. Indoor positioning is not supported. Turn-by-turn voice broadcasts support English and Chinese according to Amazfit’s product notes.
This makes the Bip 6 useful for prepared routes and route awareness, but not equivalent to Google Maps, Apple Maps or the navigation systems on higher-end Garmin, Apple Watch or Wear OS products.

Calls, notifications and music controls
A microphone and speaker enable Bluetooth calls when the watch remains connected to a phone. It can show call, SMS and app notifications, but it is not a cellular watch and cannot make phone-free calls over LTE.
The Bip 6 controls music playing on the connected phone. Amazfit says Spotify, Pandora and other third-party music apps cannot be installed directly on the watch. This is an important distinction for anyone moving from Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch or Wear OS.
Zepp Flow voice features and some messaging functions have language, operating-system and regional restrictions. The official manual is available at Amazfit’s Bip 6 user manual.

Zepp can synchronize with Strava, adidas Running, TrainingPeaks through Terra, komoot, Relive, Google Fit and Apple Health. Amazfit’s U.S. page specifically says Samsung Health and MyFitnessPal are not supported. Confirm compatibility in your region before buying.
Build, size and water resistance
The Bip 6 measures 46.3 × 40.2 × 10.45 mm and weighs 27.9 grams without its strap. Its frame is aluminum alloy, while the case is fiber-reinforced polymer. Tempered glass protects the display; Amazfit does not specify sapphire crystal.
The 5 ATM rating means water resistance to the stated standard and is suitable for activities such as swimming under the manufacturer’s guidance. It is not a promise of protection during diving, high-pressure water exposure or every water-related situation. The package includes a magnetic charging head, but no charging cable.
Who should buy the Bip 6?
Good fit
- Anyone wanting a large, bright AMOLED screen below $100.
- People who prefer charging every several days rather than every day.
- Android and iPhone users needing notifications, Bluetooth calls, GPS and fitness tracking.
- Runners and casual outdoor users who want built-in GPS at a low price.
- Buyers who value endurance and core functions over a large app store.
Look elsewhere if you need
- LTE or phone-free calling.
- Native Spotify, Pandora or broad third-party app support.
- Advanced training-load, recovery or specialist-sport analytics.
- Metal construction throughout, sapphire glass or a flagship smartwatch ecosystem.
- Medical-grade monitoring or diagnostic decisions.
How it compares by priority
| Priority | Where the Bip 6 fits | Main compromise |
|---|---|---|
| Battery life | Strong on-paper endurance, up to 14 days typical | Heavy use is rated at up to six days; GPS and display use reduce it |
| Display | 1.97-inch AMOLED, up to 2,000-nit peak | Peak brightness has conditions and is not sustained in every situation |
| Phone integration | Works with Android 7+ and iOS 14+ | No cellular service and selective app synchronization |
| Fitness | 140-plus modes, GPS and Zepp Coach | Not a substitute for specialist sports hardware or medical equipment |
| Smartwatch software | Notifications, calls and phone music controls | No native third-party music apps or full app ecosystem |
An Apple Watch SE offers deeper iPhone integration and a larger app ecosystem, but Tom’s Guide compares an Apple Watch SE 3 at $249 with the Bip 6 at $79: its comparison. That is a different price and battery trade-off rather than a direct feature-for-feature match.

Verdict
The Bip 6’s value proposition is unusually clear: a larger AMOLED display, built-in GPS, broad wellness features, Bluetooth calling and multi-day endurance for $79.99 in the U.S. It is a meaningful display upgrade over the Bip 5 and a sensible low-cost choice for users who prioritize battery life and core fitness tools.
It is not a premium smartwatch in the flagship sense. The polymer case, prepared-route mapping, lack of LTE and absence of native music apps limit it against Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch, Wear OS and higher-end Garmin models. Buy it for its screen, endurance and essentials—not for a full smartwatch ecosystem.
