Yes. TopMediai lets you upload or record your voice, create a custom voice model, and use it for text-to-speech. The company says custom cloning supports 28 languages and accepts common audio formats. However, pricing is promotional and varies by page, users currently cannot delete cloned voices themselves, and commercial use still depends on consent, contracts, copyright, and local law.
What TopMediai actually offers
TopMediai is an online platform that combines several different audio tools:
- Text-to-speech: Enter text and generate spoken audio with a stock or custom voice.
- Voice cloning: Submit voice recordings to create a model resembling the speaker, then use it for new text.
- Voice changing: Transform an existing recording rather than synthesize speech from text.
- Stock AI voices: Choose a prebuilt voice without uploading personal recordings.
This article focuses on custom voice creation for later text-to-speech, not simply browsing TopMediai’s stock library. TopMediai lists voiceovers, content creation, entertainment and e-learning among its uses, while also mentioning podcasts, audiobooks, advertising, television and film. Can you make your own AI voice online?
Choose a stock voice when you want speed, privacy and no recording session. Clone your own voice when identity consistency matters—for example, recurring YouTube narration, podcast corrections, training modules or draft audiobook chapters. Use a human voice actor when nuanced acting, guaranteed long-term consistency or high-stakes communication is essential.

Do not clone another person’s voice without documented permission. Avoid synthetic narration for legal, medical, emergency or financial announcements unless a qualified human reviews and approves the result.
How to create your own AI voice with TopMediai
The product page confirms the custom-voice location and supported formats, but some controls can change. Check the live interface for the current button names, recording limits, browser permissions, upload-size rules and whether a paid plan is required.
- Open TopMediai’s Voice Cloning or Text to Speech product and sign in or create an account.
- Choose the custom-voice or voice-cloning function.
- Upload a supported recording, or use an in-browser recorder if that option is presented.
- Confirm that you are the speaker or have authorization to use the speaker’s voice.
- Submit the audio for processing. TopMediai says cloning can take only a few minutes.
- Open TopMediai Text to Speech and select the My voice tab.
- Choose the cloned voice, enter your script and adjust any available controls such as speed, pitch, tone or emotion.
- Preview the result. Fix pronunciation and punctuation, generate alternatives, then download the approved audio.
TopMediai’s page does not establish an exact recording duration, required sample rate, maximum file size, approval workflow or processing guarantee. Treat those details as live-interface checks rather than fixed specifications.

Accepted audio formats and recording advice
TopMediai lists these upload formats: WAV, MP3, AAC, FLAC, AIFF, OPUS, OGG, OGA and M4A. The company says custom cloning supports 28 languages, but a stock voice’s language and accent options are not necessarily the same as a cloned voice’s coverage.

Speak naturally with varied sentence lengths and punctuation, and include names, numbers, abbreviations and difficult words you expect to use. Do not read copyrighted material unless you have permission.
Where the finished voice appears
After processing, TopMediai says the custom voice is available in the My voice tab inside TopMediai Text to Speech. Voice-clone capacity, text-to-speech credits, character limits, stock-voice counts and download allowances are separate concepts; a plan granting a number of clones does not necessarily grant unlimited text conversion.

Higher displayed tiers included 3,600 and 5,500 weekly credits, and 8,800 and 13,400 monthly credits. The separate text-to-speech pricing page lists voice cloning at 100 credits per clone, but TopMediai’s pages use different feature tables and broader credit ecosystems. Unused monthly clone capacity is stated not to roll over. The voice-cloning page advertises unlimited downloads on advanced tiers and a 30-day money-back guarantee; eligibility can depend on purchase channel and account history. Cancellation is stated as available, but cancellation does not automatically establish refund eligibility.
Is TopMediai suitable for commercial work?
TopMediai’s terms require you to have the necessary rights and authorization for uploaded audio and prohibit infringement of privacy, intellectual-property and other third-party rights. The terms state that custom voice models and generated voices belong to the user. That platform statement is not a universal ruling on publicity rights, privacy, copyright, employment contracts or synthetic-media laws.

Before publishing, clear each layer separately:
- The right to upload the recording.
- The speaker’s consent to model and generate their likeness.
- Rights to the script, including client or publisher approvals.
- Licenses for music and sound effects.
- TopMediai’s current terms and any plan-specific restrictions.
- Rules imposed by the destination platform, client or industry.
For client work, retain written consent and disclose synthetic narration when a contract or platform policy requires it. Never present a generated message as a person’s spontaneous statement.

The most significant documented limitation is that TopMediai says users currently cannot delete cloned voices themselves. Review support and privacy procedures before uploading sensitive or confidential audio. The available product information does not establish how long recordings are retained, whether they train models, whether deletion can be requested, encryption details, subprocessors, international transfers or technical consent verification.
Voice cloning can enable fraud and impersonation across the industry. A 2026 U.S. Senate letter citing Consumer Reports described weak consent mechanisms among many examined services; that evidence is about broader industry practices, not an audit of TopMediai. Treat any provider’s self-attestation system as a risk to evaluate rather than proof of safety.

Quality checks and common failure modes
When the clone sounds poor
- Re-record with one speaker, less room echo and steadier microphone distance.
- Use clean, consistent volume without excessive processing.
- Generate shorter segments if long passages become unstable.
- Try a stock voice if the custom model remains unreliable.
When pronunciation is wrong
- Write abbreviations in full and spell out numbers where appropriate.
- Add punctuation to create pauses.
- Test names, brand terms and acronyms in separate samples.
- Split long sentences and generate multiple variants.
When a subscription is confusing
