JR東日本の新サービス「teppay（テッペイ）」は、モバイルSuicaアプリで使うコード決済です。2026年10月20日午前11時から順次利用可能になる予定で、マイナンバーカードで本人確認した場合、teppay残高で最大30万円の決済ができます。ただし、これはSuicaの交通系IC残高の上限が30万円に変わるという意味ではありません。
「30万円」はteppay残高でのコード決済上限
JR東日本が2026年10月6日に発表したteppayは、モバイルSuicaアプリから利用するコード決済サービスです。発表で示された最大30万円は、マイナンバーカードによる本人確認を済ませた場合のteppay残高での決済額です。従来のSuica交通系IC残高とは別の仕組みです。
Suicaの交通系IC残高の上限は2万円です。teppayは、アプリに追加される別の残高とコード決済機能であり、SuicaのIC残高を30万円までチャージできるようにするものではありません。

ビューカード連携払いは、teppay残高を事前にチャージせずに使える方法として案内されています。利用可能額は連携するカードの利用限度額によるため、teppay残高払いの本人確認後の上限と混同しないようにしてください。

JR東日本は、teppayを2026年10月20日に開始し、午前11時から順次利用可能にすると発表しています。利用にはモバイルSuicaの規約とteppayの会員規約への同意が必要です。JR東日本はモバイルSuicaの規約改定を10月16日に予定しているため、実際に使う際はアプリ内の案内と最新の規約を確認してください。
teppayでできること
チャージ、送金、Suicaへのチャージ
JR東日本が発表した主な機能には、teppay残高のチャージ、家族や友人への残高送金、モバイルSuicaへのチャージがあります。チャージ方法として、ビューカード、金融機関、セブン銀行ATMまたはローソン銀行ATMでの現金チャージが挙げられています。

乗車券・定期券などの購入
teppayでは、通勤定期券、グリーン券、割引きっぷなど、JR東日本の対象商品を購入できるとされています。対象商品や購入手順は、提供開始後のアプリ表示・利用条件で確認が必要です。
オンライン決済
アプリ内でteppay JCBプリペイドカードを発行し、日本国内のJCB加盟店でオンライン決済に使える機能も発表されています。これは店舗でのteppayコード決済とは異なる使い方です。

使える店舗はSuica対応店と同じではない
JR東日本は、JR東日本グループの商業施設、teppayマークのある店舗、Smart Code対応店舗でのコード決済を予定しています。同社の発表によると、Smart Codeの利用可能箇所は2026年3月31日時点で170万箇所以上です。この数はSmart Code全体の案内であり、teppayを使える店舗数そのものを示すものではありません。
交通系ICのSuicaを受け付ける店舗と、teppayを受け付ける店舗は一致しません。店頭のteppayまたはSmart Codeの表示、あるいはアプリ上の対応状況を確認してください。

ポイント還元率は支払い方法で異なる
JR東日本の発表では、teppay残高での支払いはteppayポイント0.5%、ビューカード連携払いはJRE POINT 1%の還元対象とされています。ただし、一部の場所ではポイントが付与されない場合があると案内されています。還元条件や対象外店舗は変更される可能性があるため、利用時点の条件を確認してください。
モバイルPASMO対応は2027年春の予定
モバイルPASMOでのteppay対応は、PASMOとの連携により2027年春に開始する計画です。モバイルSuica利用者とモバイルPASMO利用者の間でteppay残高を送る機能も予定されています。2026年10月の開始時点で使える機能としてではなく、今後の計画として案内されています。
