Schumacher ’94 — The Birth of a Legend — October 2
This documentary uses interviews and archival footage to revisit Michael Schumacher’s first Formula 1 world championship, won during the 1994 season. It is a factual sports story rather than a scripted series, making it a good change of pace from the weekend’s fictional releases.
Blue Box season 2 — October 4
The second season of the anime Blue Box arrives Sunday. Because it is a returning season, newcomers may want to start with season 1 rather than jump straight into the new episodes.
Disney+ and Hulu
Coven Academy — Disney+, October 2
Coven Academy is set at a New Orleans boarding school for teenage witches and warlocks. Disney’s calendar lists all episodes as streaming on October 2, so it is the weekend’s strongest binge option for supernatural-drama fans.
Adventure Time: Side Quests season 2 — Disney+, October 2
Finn and Jake return for more adventures in Ooo in the second season of Adventure Time: Side Quests. Disney+ lists every episode as available on October 2. It is animation, not live-action fantasy, and suits viewers looking for a lighter pick.

Scrubs season 2 — Hulu, October 2
Although Disney’s broader calendar includes the listing, the premiere is identified as a Hulu release, not a Disney+ release. The two-episode launch brings J.D. back to Sacred Heart as chief of medicine, mentoring new interns alongside Turk and Elliot. The two-episode start means it is not an all-at-once season drop.
HBO Max
The Torment season 1 — October 2
The Torment is listed as an HBO original series arriving October 2. The schedule identifies the date and service but does not establish a complete-season binge or a specific episode count, so check the title page in your region for its rollout.

Strange: Junji Ito’s Tales for Sleepless Nights season 1 — October 2
This animated horror anthology adapts the unsettling world associated with Junji Ito. It is a better match for viewers seeking episodic supernatural horror than a conventional live-action drama. HBO Max’s calendar lists the season for October 2 without specifying whether all episodes arrive together.
