Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A handful of notable releases appear in the surrounding October–December calendar, but the dates alone do not show that rival publishers moved their games to avoid Rockstar’s launch. Here are seven useful calendar entries, with remasters and platform editions labeled rather than presented as seven brand-new games.
What games are coming out before GTA 6?
The following is an editorial shortlist of notable entries, not an objective ranking or a complete count of major 2026 releases. Dates and platforms below come from the VGC release calendar, updated September 28, 2026; the entries are calendar listings, not direct confirmation from every game publisher.

Dates and platform listings for the six non-GTA entries are from VGC’s calendar. GamesRadar’s maintained 2026 release calendar corroborates several entries and also includes releases with broader windows. Release calendars can change, so check the game publisher’s current announcement before making plans.
When does GTA 6 come out, and what is confirmed?
Take-Two Interactive’s June 24, 2026 announcement states that GTA VI is set to launch November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar first announced that date on November 6, 2025. See the Take-Two announcement and Rockstar date notice.

The reviewed publisher announcement does not announce a PC version or PC release date. That means no PC date is announced in those materials; it is not confirmation that a PC version will never arrive. GamesRadar’s GTA VI guide likewise reports the November 19 date and the absence of an announced PC date in its coverage.
Announced US editions and boxed format
In its June 24, 2026 announcement, Take-Two listed a US price of $79.99 for the base game and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. Those are the announced US prices in that dated announcement, not a guarantee of current pricing or the price in other countries. Take-Two also said the physical version would contain a download code inside the box, so it should not be described as a disc edition. The announcement said it would be available through global retailers and storefronts.

Are other publishers moving games to dodge GTA 6?
The calendars establish proximity, not motive. They show games scheduled in October, November, and December, but the reviewed sources do not substantiate a claim that the publishers moved the listed releases to avoid GTA VI. “Dodge” is therefore best treated as a question or interpretation, not a verified explanation of the schedule.

The shortlist also mixes different kinds of releases: original games, a remaster, and platform editions. It is a way to scan the late-year calendar, not proof that precisely seven major games remain or that these are objectively the seven biggest.
