These seven less-obvious picks could bring distinct silhouettes, movement styles and team-play ideas to a hypothetical game. Their roles and abilities below are design pitches, not confirmed plans or existing game features.
What a DC rival to Marvel Rivals would—and wouldn’t—be
Marvel Rivals is an official superhero team-based PvP shooter, as described on its official site. DC has not announced an equivalent shooter in the sources available here. Its DC Worlds Collide is a separate mobile RPG for iOS and Android, on sale from May 15, 2025. DC describes it as featuring more than 70 characters at launch and includes 5v5 PvP arenas, but those details do not make it a shooter or establish a DC equivalent to Marvel Rivals.

There is room to imagine a broad cast: DC’s character directory lists 251 characters on the page accessed in 2026. That is a directory count, not a ranking of popularity or a forecast of who would appear in a game. The choices below focus on what each character might add to a team shooter, rather than claiming that any has been selected.
Seven DC characters with distinct shooter potential
1. Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes): adaptable alien technology
Jaime Reyes’ alien-tech suit could make for a fighter whose weapons and defenses feel like parts of one adaptable system. A speculative kit might shift between ranged attacks and protective tools, giving him options as a fight moves between open sightlines and close quarters. The visual appeal would come from the suit visibly reconfiguring around the action, not from simply handing him another conventional blaster.

2. Vixen: powers that change with the moment
Vixen’s animal-inspired abilities lend themselves to a flexible design. A hypothetical version could emphasize different animal traits at different moments: movement for repositioning, or attacks suited to pressuring an opponent. That would give her a shifting rhythm and a clear visual language. The challenge would be keeping the changes readable to teammates and opponents rather than making her feel like several unrelated characters.
3. Zatanna: magic built for control and support
Zatanna’s backward-spoken magic offers an immediately recognizable hook. A proposed kit could use spell effects to interrupt or redirect opponents while creating opportunities for allies, making her a control- or support-oriented pick. Her animations and spell presentation could set her apart from technology-based characters without needing to make every ability a large, screen-filling effect.

4. Plastic Man: elastic movement and unconventional reach
Plastic Man could change the geometry of a fight. Elastic reach might let him pressure opponents from odd angles, while unusual traversal animations could make him difficult to predict. A design pitch might give him crowd-control options as well as movement tools, with his elastic body supplying both the mechanics and the comedy. The key would be making his actions legible in a fast team fight.
5. Booster Gold: flashy future tech with team utility
Booster Gold’s future technology and showman persona could produce a character who is visibly confident—and useful to the team. A speculative design might combine gadgets and shields with attention-grabbing effects, positioning him as a support-flavored pick rather than just another damage dealer. That contrast between his self-presentation and his team responsibilities could make him memorable without treating the character as a joke.

6. Mister Miracle: escape artistry as a team tool
Mister Miracle’s identity as an escape artist points toward mobility and rescue plays. A proposed kit could let him evade pressure and help an ally get out of a dangerous position, rewarding timing and awareness rather than raw damage. The fantasy is not simply that he can escape; it is that he can turn a seemingly lost moment into a way back into the fight.
7. Swamp Thing: area control with a different scale
Swamp Thing could bring an imposing silhouette and a slower, more deliberate presence to the roster. Plant-based abilities might shape space through area denial or defensive control, changing where opponents can safely move and where allies can hold ground. That would give a hypothetical team a different encounter rhythm from characters built around speed, gadgets or direct attacks.

Why these seven make a varied pitch
The lineup is strongest as a set of contrasting design possibilities, not as a prediction or a community-backed shortlist. Its range comes from the different problems each character might pose and solve in a team fight:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors- Technology: Blue Beetle and Booster Gold could make gadgets and protective tools central to their play.
- Changing abilities: Vixen’s animal traits and Zatanna’s magic could offer flexible ways to influence a fight.
- Unusual movement: Plastic Man and Mister Miracle could create opportunities through reach, traversal or escape.
- Space and defense: Swamp Thing could make territory itself a consideration.
Readers have independently mentioned several of these characters when discussing a hypothetical DC game in the style of Marvel Rivals, including Zatanna, Plastic Man, Booster Gold, Mister Miracle and Swamp Thing. Those are individual suggestions, not a representative poll, and they do not establish a planned roster or game design.
