Pipefy reports that 67.1% of its U.S. survey respondents use AI in some processes, but just 6.6% say their processes are fully orchestrated end to end. The figures point to a gap between using AI for tasks and coordinating a complete process around it; they are not an estimate for all U.S. companies.
What Pipefy’s survey found
Pipefy published the results on October 1, 2026, based on a structured questionnaire conducted during the first half of 2026. It surveyed 148 companies from its customer base in Brazil and the United States and reported U.S. findings. The release does not give the size of the U.S. subgroup, so the percentages should be read as answers from Pipefy survey respondents—not as a census or representative estimate of U.S. businesses. | Measure | Reported result |
|---|---|
| Use AI in some processes | 67.1% of U.S. respondents |
| Use AI regularly | 37% of U.S. respondents |
| Report fully end-to-end orchestrated processes | 6.6% of U.S. respondents |
| Switch among multiple systems and screens to complete a process | 42.6% of U.S. respondents |
The two adoption figures describe different measures: using AI in some processes and using it regularly. The release does not establish that respondents’ answers fall into mutually exclusive categories, so the percentages should not be added or treated as complementary shares.

Why AI use is not the same as orchestration
A company can use a model or agent for an individual task without coordinating the surrounding process. End-to-end orchestration means organizing the people, systems, and AI actions across a process, setting boundaries for what agents can do, and retaining records and human review where risk calls for it. Pipefy’s reported 42.6% who still switch among systems and screens offers a concrete contrast with the 6.6% who report fully orchestrated processes; the figures do not prove that every fragmented process uses AI or that the two groups are opposites.

- Dual-Brain Hybrid Power: Combines the Qualcomm Dragonwing QRB2210 MPU (Quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 @ 2.0 GHz CPU, Adreno GPU, AI acceleration) and the real-time, low-power STM32U585 MCU for advanced applications like object recognition, voice commands, and motion detection.
- AI & Linux Capabilities: Unlocks AI-powered vision and sound solutions; runs Linux Debian OS for coding in Python and supports the Arduino ecosystem with libraries and Sketches; quick start with Arduino App Lab.
- Advanced Features: Equipped with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32 GB eMMC built-in storage, ideal for single-board computer (SBC) mode, running multiple simultaneous high-level processes, more complex AI or ML models, extensive logs. Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, and high-speed headers for vision, audio, and display peripherals.
- Seamless Expansion & Connectivity: Features the classic UNO form factor for shields compatibility, an 8x13 LED matrix, and a Qwiic connector for easy expansion with Modulino nodes; power and connect via the USB-C connector.
- Intended Use & Development: The perfect platform for prototyping robotics or IoT projects, empowering innovators with a unified development experience to mix Arduino Sketches, Python scripts, and containerized AI models in a single interface.
Sobhan Daliry, Pipefy’s CPO and AI Strategy Leader, said: “AI projects rarely stall because the model is wrong. They stall because the process around it was never built to be governed and orchestrated,” Pipefy’s survey release. That is a vendor executive’s interpretation, not an independent conclusion established by the survey.
What respondents said about AI agents and human oversight
Pipefy reports that 41.3% of respondents already apply AI agents in internal processes, while another 41.3% plan to use them. Those answers indicate interest and reported use, not that agents operate autonomously or that planned deployments have been completed.

On oversight, 57.4% saw humans as orchestrators and validators. Another 34.4% said they would delegate to an AI agent if its rules were well defined and auditable. Together, these answers suggest that respondents see defined controls and human involvement as important; they do not establish what controls companies have implemented in practice.

- The design with built-in RISC-V MCU supports low-power fast startup, 250ms fast capture, and simultaneous loading of AI model library, enabling facial recognition to be completed within 1 second
What the survey says companies consider when buying AI
Pipefy reports these leading AI purchase considerations as a share of mentions:
| Consideration | Share of mentions |
|---|---|
| Ease of team adoption | 28% |
| Operational gains | 27% |
| Clear business benefits and return on investment | 19% |
The release does not say whether respondents could select more than one criterion. These figures therefore should not be read as mutually exclusive shares of buyers or as a complete ranking of all purchase factors.

What the findings do—and do not—show
The strongest conclusion is limited to Pipefy’s surveyed customer-base respondents: AI use in some processes was more widely reported than fully end-to-end orchestration, and many respondents still described multi-system work. The sample and missing U.S. subgroup size prevent a sound claim that exactly 67% of all U.S. companies use AI. The cited material also does not provide an independent replication, a population-representative U.S. estimate, or a comparison showing that one orchestration platform performs better than another.
