A 50- to 58-inch 4K TV can land near $300 when a sale is available, but the price and exact features vary by model and retailer. Recent deal coverage reported a 50-inch Roku Select Series 4K QLED at $249, a 55-inch Roku Select Series at $269, and a 58-inch Hisense R6 4K Roku TV at $238. These were time-limited US promotions, not guaranteed prices; check the exact model, seller, stock, delivery cost, and returns before buying.

Best TVs around $300: the short list

These examples give you useful starting points, not a ranking based on hands-on testing. Prices below were reported in 2026 deal coverage and may no longer be available.

TV and size Reported price and retailer What to know
Roku Select Series 4K QLED, 50-inch $249 at Amazon, reported in Tom’s Guide’s early Prime Day coverage on October 6–7, 2026; listed as reduced from $299. A 4K QLED option at the lower end of the budget. Confirm the live listing’s model and features; coverage of another size does not establish this one’s ports or other specifications. Source
Roku Select Series 4K QLED, 55-inch $269 at Best Buy, reported in Tom’s Guide’s September 2026 deal guide; listed as reduced from $349. The deal listing describes 4K, AirPlay, voice-control integrations, and three HDMI ports. Verify these details for the exact model and year before purchase. Source
Hisense R6 4K Roku TV, 58-inch $238 at Walmart, reported in Tom’s Guide’s September 2026 deal guide; listed as reduced from $298. The deal coverage describes HDR support, Dolby Vision/HDR10, a low-lag gaming mode, and DTS Studio Sound. Check the exact model suffix and retailer specifications; features can vary by variant. Source
TCL QM5K Mini-LED 4K TV, 55-inch $349 at Best Buy, reported in Tom’s Guide’s September 2026 deal guide. A stretch-budget comparison rather than a $300 pick; the deal coverage describes Mini-LED, Google TV, and Dolby Vision. Source
Amazon Ember 4-Series, 42-inch $329 in Tom’s Guide’s budget-TV guide; retailer and promotion terms are not stated there. Smaller and slightly above budget. The guide describes 4K, HDR10+, and 60 Hz, while noting brightness and current-generation gaming limitations. Source

Which option makes sense for your room?

Choose the larger screen if size is your priority

The reported 55- and 58-inch deals show how sale pricing can bring a larger 4K set close to $300. Measure the space and consider your viewing distance before choosing the largest screen that fits. A bigger panel is not automatically a better fit if you sit close or the room cannot accommodate it.

Stretch only for a feature you will use

The cited 55-inch TCL QM5K was listed at $349, above the target budget. Its Mini-LED backlight and Dolby Vision support make it a relevant comparison if you can spend more, but the listing alone does not establish that it will deliver a better real-world picture for every room or viewer.

  • Seamless streaming: With fast Wi-Fi and apps that launch in a snap, Roku Select Series TVs get you to your entertainment quickly. You get excellent picture quality, clear sound, automatic updates, and more. It’s simple to use. Hard to outgrow.
  • TV, simplified: With setup that only takes minutes, a simple-to-navigate Home Screen, and an uncluttered remote control that does all you need—Roku makes it easier to watch the TV you love.
  • A world of free entertainment: Enjoy a huge selection of free live TV, news, sports, movies, shows, and much more—all just a click away.
  • More streaming, less searching: With personalized picks right on your Home Screen, quick access to the sports and entertainment you watch most, and fast and easy search in one place—the days of endless scrolling are over.

Pick the smart platform that suits your household

The examples include Roku, Google TV, and Fire TV. Consider which interface you already know and whether it supports the apps, casting, and voice controls you want. For the 55-inch Roku Select listing, AirPlay and three HDMI ports were specifically reported, but do not assume that details carry across all Select sizes or model years.

What to verify before paying

  • Exact model number: Match the full model and suffix on the retailer page to the manufacturer’s specifications. Product-family names alone may cover variants with different features.
  • Resolution and HDR: Confirm 4K resolution and the HDR formats the exact set supports. A useful example of why the model number matters: Hisense’s H5 product page identifies that separate 55-inch model as 3840 × 2160 with Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10. Those specifications do not establish the features of the Hisense R6 deal model. Hisense H5 specifications
  • Gaming and motion: Check native refresh rate, input lag or low-lag mode, and HDMI features for the exact size and model. A low-lag mode is not the same thing as a higher refresh rate. The Ember guide’s 60 Hz figure applies to that cited 42-inch model, not to the other TVs in this list.
  • Connections and casting: Count the HDMI ports you need for devices such as a game console, soundbar, and set-top box. Verify specific casting support, such as AirPlay, on the listing for your exact variant.
  • Checkout terms: Compare the final price, seller, shipping or delivery charge, stock, and return policy. A deal article’s reference price is not a promise of the current checkout price.

How to compare a deal with broader TV guidance

Consumer Reports’ 2026 buying guide includes a wider evaluation framework covering HD/UHD picture quality, HDR, viewing angle, motion blur, sound, versatility, privacy, security, and reliability. It lists the Roku 55R6A5R at $430, but that is guide context—not a current sale price or a directly comparable test result for the Roku Select and Hisense deal examples above. Compare exact model numbers and the live checkout total rather than relying on a brand or series name alone. Consumer Reports Buying Guide 2026
