There isn’t enough verified marketplace information to name five current Amazon best-selling projector screens. Amazon rankings, listings, and prices weren’t confirmed, so this guide doesn’t present product examples as current best sellers. Instead, it explains how to choose the right screen format and material, with three manufacturer or editorial examples to investigate before buying.
Start with the room and installation
The first choice is where the screen will live. A fixed frame suits a dedicated viewing space; a retractable screen can be tucked away in a shared room; and a portable screen is designed to move between locations or serve temporary indoor and outdoor use. Elite Screens lists manual, electric, portable, outdoor, and ALR/CLR product families, but those categories alone do not establish which model fits a particular room. - Fixed frame: Consider this format when the screen can remain mounted and visible.
- Retractable: Consider it when the wall or room has other uses and the screen needs to be put away.
- Portable: Consider it for temporary setups, moving between rooms, or outdoor viewing, while accounting for setup and weather limits.
Match the screen material to the projector
Screen-material claims are not interchangeable across a brand’s product families. Check the exact material named on the model you are considering, and verify its compatibility with your projector’s throw type and placement. In particular, “ALR” does not mean a material will work with every projector or every room-light arrangement.

ALR example: CineGrey 5D
Elite Screens’ instructions for its CineGrey 5D angular-reflective material specify a minimum lens throw ratio of 1.5 and say it is not compatible with ultra-short-throw (UST) or short-throw projectors. The placement guidance also says ambient light must not come from the projector’s direction. These are manufacturer specifications for this material, not universal rules for all ALR screens. Check the manufacturer’s product information and the exact material documentation before purchase.

UST projectors need a verified match
If you have a UST projector, do not infer compatibility from an “ALR” label or from a screen’s appearance. CineGrey 5D is explicitly excluded for UST use; the evidence here does not establish which other specific screen materials will suit your projector. Confirm compatibility for the exact projector and screen combination with the manufacturer before ordering.

Before selecting a variant, compare its stated image size and aspect ratio with the room, projector image, and mounting location. Confirm those details on the live model page rather than assuming that all variants in a series share the same specifications.

For an Amazon purchase, verify the current listing, seller, exact variant, price, and availability at checkout. An independent roundup published in 2026 that names a product is editorial coverage, not evidence of its current Amazon bestseller rank or listing status.
Plan for outdoor setup limits
The Yard Master 2 user guide says to use the screen only in light breezes up to 7 mph and recommends disassembling and storing it after use. Treat that as the manufacturer’s stated operating limit for this product, not a general wind rating for portable screens. Consult the Yard Master 2 documentation for the applicable setup and care instructions.
