For gaming phones under ₹50,000 in India, the shortlist is the POCO X8 Pro Max, Redmi Turbo 5, OnePlus Nord 6, Nothing Phone 4a Pro and Motorola Edge 70 Pro+. The POCO and Redmi emphasize performance hardware and cooling; the Nord pairs a high-refresh display with a large battery. The Nothing and Motorola options bring different trade-offs, so check their current prices and configurations before buying.
These are buying-guide picks, not the result of a consistent independent test of all five phones. The available sources do not establish comparable BGMI or Call of Duty: Mobile frame rates for each model. A display’s maximum refresh rate does not guarantee that a particular game will run at the same frame rate.

Which gaming phone under ₹50,000 should you choose?
- For performance hardware and long sessions: Consider the POCO X8 Pro Max, with a Dimensity 9500s chipset, vapour chamber cooling and a 9,000mAh battery, according to Gadgets 360’s 4 October 2026 guide.
- For a lower reported starting price with gaming-focused hardware: The Redmi Turbo 5 is listed at ₹41,999 for its base 8GB + 256GB variant in the same guide.
- For a high-refresh display: The OnePlus Nord 6 has a reported 165Hz display, but that specification alone does not mean BGMI or COD Mobile supports 165 FPS on the phone.
- For a more balanced shortlist: The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is worth considering if its current price suits you; the guide notes minimal thermal throttling in its review summary but also flags weaker battery life and price-to-performance.
- For a less performance-led alternative: The Nothing Phone 4a Pro appears in the shortlist, but the available guide excerpt does not establish its price or independent gaming results. Verify its current India price and configuration before treating it as an under-₹50,000 option.
The shortlist is not a settled consensus. A Sportskeeda list published 6 October 2026 names the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion instead of the Nothing Phone 4a Pro or Motorola Edge 70 Pro+, and also includes the Realme GT 7. That difference is a reminder to compare specific configurations and current listings rather than treating any one list as a definitive ranking.
At-a-glance comparison
| Phone | Reported gaming-relevant details | What to weigh |
| POCO X8 Pro Max | MediaTek Dimensity 9500s; vapour chamber cooling; 6.83-inch OLED; 9,000mAh battery; 100W wired charging. Starting price reported as ₹48,999 for 12GB + 256GB. | Strong on listed performance hardware and battery capacity. Capacity is not a measured game-runtime result. |
| Redmi Turbo 5 | MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra; LPDDR5X RAM; vapour chamber cooling; 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED, 120Hz; 7,540mAh battery; 100W wired charging. Base 8GB + 256GB price reported as ₹41,999. | Potential value pick; Gadgets 360 says its cameras are not the strongest at this price. |
| OnePlus Nord 6 | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4; 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED, 165Hz; up to 12GB LPDDR5X; 9,000mAh battery; 80W wired charging. Base 8GB + 256GB price reported as ₹46,999. | High display refresh capability and large listed battery; game-specific FPS support is not established by these specifications. |
| Nothing Phone 4a Pro | Snapdragon 7 Gen 4; 6.83-inch display; 5,400mAh battery; 8GB or 12GB RAM options. Price and independent gaming results are not stated in the cited Gadgets 360 list excerpt. | Confirm price and variant availability before purchase; the listed chipset and battery are less performance-led than the top hardware options here. |
| Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ | MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme; 6.80-inch display; 6,500mAh battery; 12GB RAM. Gadgets 360’s review summary notes minimal thermal throttling. | The same review summary flags sub-par battery life and weaker price-to-performance; compare live pricing with alternatives. |
Specifications and dated prices in the table are from Gadgets 360’s 4 October 2026 buying guide. Prices are snapshots, not guarantees of current stock or seller pricing. Sportskeeda also reported ₹48,999 for the POCO X8 Pro Max on 6 October 2026.

What matters most for BGMI and COD Mobile?
Sustained performance and cooling
A powerful processor can help with demanding games, but it is only one part of sustained performance. Cooling and thermal behavior matter during longer sessions. The buying guides discuss these factors, but they do not provide a consistent, independent, model-by-model gaming test. Do not use a chipset name or benchmark ranking as a substitute for game-specific results.
Display refresh rate and touch response
Compare display type, resolution, refresh capability and touch response. A 165Hz or 120Hz panel describes the display’s refresh capability; it does not establish the frame rate a game enables on that device. BGMI and COD Mobile options can depend on the game version, device whitelist and selected settings. Check the current in-game options for the exact phone before buying for a particular FPS target.

Battery capacity and charging
The listed capacities range from 5,400mAh on the Nothing Phone 4a Pro to 9,000mAh on the POCO X8 Pro Max and OnePlus Nord 6. The listed wired charging rates range from 80W on the Nord 6 to 100W on the POCO and Redmi. These are specifications, not controlled comparisons of gaming runtime or charging time; actual results depend on use and conditions.
Software, cameras and everyday use
Consider software experience alongside gaming performance. Also weigh cameras, handling and value if the phone will be your everyday device. The cited roundup specifically cautions that the Redmi Turbo 5’s cameras are not its strongest feature at this price, while its Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ review summary identifies battery life and price-to-performance as drawbacks.

How to check a phone before you buy
- Match the exact variant: Compare the memory and storage configuration in the seller listing with the variant whose price is reported. A base price does not necessarily apply to a higher-memory model.
- Check the current India price and stock: Treat the prices above as dated reports, then confirm the live listing with the seller. An aggregator snapshot is not a substitute for the current seller price.
- Confirm game support: Check the latest BGMI and COD Mobile versions on the specific device for the frame-rate settings you want. Do not infer game support from the panel’s refresh rate.
- Look for comparable tests if FPS or heat is decisive: A useful test should identify the phone configuration, game version, graphics and frame-rate settings, session duration and test conditions. The available buying guides do not supply a consistent comparison with those details for all five phones.
- Choose for the whole phone: Decide how much camera quality, battery, software and handling matter alongside gaming. A phone with impressive listed gaming specifications may still be the wrong fit if its non-gaming trade-offs matter more to you.
For context, Smartprix’s 29 September 2026 price list also showed the OnePlus Nord 6 at ₹46,999 and the POCO X8 Pro Max at ₹48,999, alongside other models. Aggregator prices are snapshots and should not override a current seller listing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Verdict
The POCO X8 Pro Max and Redmi Turbo 5 are the clearest starting points if your priority is listed performance hardware and cooling; the Redmi has the lower reported base price. Choose the OnePlus Nord 6 if its high-refresh display and large battery appeal, while accounting for its 80W charging specification. Treat the Nothing Phone 4a Pro as a conditional option until you confirm its price, and weigh the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+’s stated review trade-offs carefully. For any of these phones, verify current game settings rather than assuming a particular FPS from its display or chipset.
