The lowest displayed prices among the AKASO listings reviewed were $69.99 for the EK7000 and $84.99 for the EK7000 Pro. For a more balanced budget pick, an independent guide favors the Brave 4 Pro, listed at $109.99. These are U.S.-dollar storefront snapshots, not guaranteed current offers or a complete ranking of every camera on sale; check stock, bundle contents, and your final checkout total before buying.
How to read this price-ranked shortlist
“Cheapest” depends on the country, retailer, stock status, and whether the price is for a camera alone or a bundle. The prices below are the displayed U.S. prices on AKASO’s official store when reviewed; they are not a survey of every retailer, and can change. The AKASO listings did not establish a consistent bundle basis for every model, so compare the exact product page rather than assuming each price includes the same accessories.

The ranking is by displayed price, not a claim that the least expensive camera produces the best footage. The evidence available supports a shortlist of low-price candidates and one out-of-stock model worth knowing about, not five confirmed lowest-priced, in-stock cameras across the U.S. market.

Which cheap action camera should you choose?
Spend as little as possible: EK7000
At the lowest displayed price in this shortlist, the EK7000 is the starting point if upfront cost matters more than verified performance comparisons. The reviewed evidence does not establish how its footage or stabilization compares with the other models here. Check the live listing for stock and exactly what is in the box before treating $69.99 as the cost of a ready-to-use setup.
Consider the EK7000 Pro only if its compromises fit
The EK7000 Pro was listed at $84.99. Digital Camera World describes it as ultra-cheap but flags temperamental stabilization and a potentially glitchy app. Those cautions matter if you expect smooth footage while moving or depend on a phone app for setup and control.
Rank #2

Check the box contents on the Brave 4
The Brave 4 was listed at $89.99, but the evidence does not confirm which mounts or waterproof housing are included in the exact offer. Because accessories can affect the real price, inspect the product listing and compare the package contents with what you need before choosing it over a cheaper camera.
Choose the V50 X on price only with eyes open
The V50 X’s displayed price was $99.99. That establishes it as a candidate at that price, not as a video-quality winner: the available comparison did not assess its footage against the other listed models.
Rank #3
- Superior Low-Light Performance with 1/1.3-inch Sensor - Struggling with grainy footage in low light? Osmo Action 4 action camera 4K uses 2.4μm pixel size for crisp results. Auto white balance adjusts color for true-to-life, flicker-free shots, even underwater.
- Pro-Grade Color Science - Worried your videos lack real-life colors? 10-bit color depth captures subtle shades, while D-Log M preserves more detail and dynamic range for professional editing later. Osmo Action 4 vlogging camera helps you enhance vibrant scenery.
- See More, Feel More - Want to capture more action and scenery? Shoot in 4K at 120fps with a 155° ultra-wide field of view. Minimal cropping means immersive FPV footage. Use it as a motorcycle camera or underwater camera and enjoy stunning sceneries!
- Cold-Resistant, Long-Lasting Battery - Tired of your travel camera dying in the cold? The 1770mAh battery lasts up to 150 minutes [6] and works in temps as low as -20°C (-4°F). Plus, with waterproofing up to 18m [3], DJI Osmo Action 4 is ready for outdoor adventures.
- Effortless Perspective Shifts - Frustrated by slow setup? The magnetic quick-release system lets you mount, switch angles, and go vertical in seconds [2]. The self-locking design keeps your action camera secure, so you can create without limits.
Pay more for the Brave 4 Pro’s reported balance and kit
At $109.99, the Brave 4 Pro costs more than the four lower-priced listings. Digital Camera World describes it as its best overall budget action camera, reporting 4K/30p, decent stabilization, a front-facing screen, and included mounts and underwater housing. The front screen can help when framing yourself, and included accessories may reduce extra purchases if the live package matches that description. The same guide says the controls can be unintuitive.
What the resolution label does not tell you
A 4K label alone does not establish whether footage will look steady or whether the camera supports the frame rate you want at that resolution. Digital Camera World’s EK7000 Pro assessment raises stabilization concerns; its Brave 4 Pro assessment is more favorable on stabilization. These are editorial assessments, not tests conducted for this article.
Rank #4
- Superior Low-Light Performance with 1/1.3-inch Sensor - Struggling with grainy footage in low light? Osmo Action 4 action camera 4K uses 2.4μm pixel size for crisp results. Auto white balance adjusts color for true-to-life, flicker-free shots, even underwater.

Frame rate also varies by model. The Brave 7 LE is reported to record 4K at 30 frames per second, not 4K at 60 fps; the guide notes 2.7K at 60 fps as an alternative. If 4K/60 is essential, do not infer support from a product name or a general “4K” claim—verify the specific mode in the manufacturer’s specifications.
Water protection and included accessories can change the real cost
Distinguish a camera body’s own water protection from protection provided by a waterproof case. Digital Camera World says the Brave 7 LE has minimal water protection without its housing. For the Brave 4 and other listings, confirm whether a housing is actually included, and check what water depth or use the manufacturer specifies before taking a camera underwater.
Best Value

- Free Valuable Accessories: This underwater camera comes with a USB Dual Charger and 2 rechargeable 1050mAh batteries, each battery can record up to 90 minutes. We have optimized some accessories for the new version of Brave 4 to make it more suitable for bicycle/motorcycle activities. The kits are available for most kinds of cameras even Gopro. The remote wristband is not waterproof.
The Brave 4 Pro guide reports mounts and an underwater housing included in the box, but package contents can vary by listing or bundle. Before checkout, compare the exact camera package, included battery count, memory card, case, shipping, taxes, condition, and return terms. A lower headline price may not mean a lower cost for the setup you need.
Models that do not qualify as cheap in-stock picks in this snapshot
Brave 7 LE: useful features, but listed out of stock
Digital Camera World reports 4K/30 fps, 2.7K/60 fps, dual screens, and six-axis stabilization for the Brave 7 LE. It does not record 4K/60 fps, and water protection without the housing is described as minimal. AKASO displayed it at $149.99 but marked it out of stock when accessed, so that price does not make it a confirmed available choice in this snapshot. See the AKASO Brave 7 LE listing for the model’s live status.
Brave 8 Lite: also shown out of stock
TechRadar describes the Brave 8 Lite as compact and light, with a more usable smartphone app, while noting cost-saving construction. AKASO showed it at $199.99 and out of stock when accessed, placing it outside the available low-price shortlist. See TechRadar’s Brave 8 Lite review and the AKASO store for the cited model and listing context.
When a pricier camera may be worth considering
If you are open to spending substantially more, DJI’s official store displayed the Osmo Action 4 at $239 and Osmo Action 5 Pro at $319. These are stretch-price references, not contenders in a strict low-price ranking. Current pricing and availability should be checked on the DJI store.
