There is no confirmed US launch for the OnePlus 16. On July 16, 2026, OnePlus said it would stop launching new products in North America and Europe, so US buyers who want a OnePlus-style phone will be choosing from other brands. The five options below are the ones the most detailed current guide supports: Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra, Google’s Pixel 10, the Nothing Phone 4a Pro, the Motorola Edge (2026), and the OnePlus 15, which is the only OnePlus model on the list and is a remaining-stock choice rather than a future one.
Prices in this article are manufacturer or guide figures, and they change. Live US availability is covered in its own section below.

What OnePlus actually announced
In a statement to TechCrunch, OnePlus said: “After careful assessment, OnePlus will no longer launch new products in Europe and North America. All users’ rights and interests, including after-sales support and software updates, will remain fully guaranteed.”
The statement covers future launches in North America and Europe, and it covers support for existing users. It does not name the OnePlus 16. That is why an official US OnePlus 16 is unlikely under this policy, but the statement does not formally cancel the phone in every market. It also does not say that current OnePlus phones stop working or that their support has ended.
The five alternatives
Each entry below relies on the specifications and MSRP given in Android Authority’s July 2026 roundup, plus Samsung’s US product page where noted. None of these phones was tested hands-on for this article, so performance comparisons are limited to what the sources report.
1. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: the best premium Android option
This is the strongest premium replacement on the list and the only one with a directly checked US storefront listing: Samsung’s US store offers an unlocked model to order. Samsung’s product page lists a 6.9-inch display, a 5,000mAh battery, and a 200MP wide camera. The guide highlights flagship performance, camera capabilities, a privacy display, and seven years of Android version upgrades.
The trade-offs are price and charging. It has the highest MSRP of the five at $1,299.99, and the editorial comparison describes its charging as slower than the fast-charge experience OnePlus buyers are used to.
2. Google Pixel 10: the best for Google software at a lower flagship price
The Pixel 10 lists a $799 MSRP in the guide, with a Tensor G5 processor, a telephoto camera, and the Google software experience. It is a 6.3-inch phone. The guide also suggests a lower street price, but that figure moves quickly, so check a current US store listing before relying on it.
3. Nothing Phone 4a Pro: the best design-forward midrange pick
The Nothing Phone 4a Pro lists a $499 MSRP and has a 6.83-inch, 144Hz AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, and a telephoto camera. It is the lowest-priced option here, and it is a value-tier phone rather than a like-for-like replacement for a OnePlus flagship.
4. Motorola Edge (2026): the best compact option
The Motorola Edge (2026) lists a $600 MSRP and weighs roughly 160g. It has a 6.3-inch display, a 5,000mAh battery, and 68W wired charging. The guide advises looking for a sale. Its software support is shorter than that of some rivals on the list.
5. OnePlus 15: the best if you still want OnePlus
The OnePlus 15 lists a $899 MSRP. The guide calls it the company’s US “swan song,” and it has a 6,000mAh battery with fast wired charging. Because OnePlus is leaving North America, it is best treated as a phone to buy while US stock lasts. OnePlus’s statement covers updates for existing users, but the sources do not give a per-model update schedule for the OnePlus 15.

Choosing by what you want to keep
- Fast charging and a large battery: the OnePlus 15 has the larger battery in this group (6,000mAh) and fast wired charging. The Motorola Edge offers 68W wired charging in a 5,000mAh phone. For context, OnePlus’s US product page for the OnePlus 11 lists 5,000mAh and 80W wired charging. That is an older model’s specification, not a OnePlus 16 specification.
- Lowest price: the Nothing Phone 4a Pro, at a $499 MSRP.
- Premium camera and long software support: the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
- Google software and a telephoto camera: the Pixel 10.
- Compact size: the Motorola Edge (2026).
Camera and performance claims in this article come from the cited guide and manufacturer pages. They have not been measured in side-by-side testing.
US availability: what was checked
On October 9, 2026, Samsung’s US store offered the Galaxy S26 Ultra unlocked in a 512GB configuration at $1,399.99, down from a struck-through $1,599.99. The guide’s $1,299.99 is a stated MSRP and does not specify a storage tier, so it does not match this store price. Check the live page for current pricing.
The Pixel 10, Nothing Phone 4a Pro, Motorola Edge (2026), and OnePlus 15 were not checked against a live US storefront for this article. Their prices are guide MSRPs, and their current stock is unconfirmed.
Buying checklist
- Open the manufacturer’s US store or a major US retailer and search for the exact model name.
- Confirm the SKU. Unlocked models are not tied to one carrier, while carrier versions may be locked to that carrier’s network.
- Confirm the storage configuration, because the price depends on it.
- Compare the live price with the MSRP above, and note the date you checked.
- Read the product page’s software-update statement and the return window before you order.
- For the OnePlus 15, confirm that the retailer still has stock before you buy.
Optional: a cross-platform alternative
If you are willing to switch platforms, Apple’s listing for the iPhone 17 Pro shows a 6.3-inch OLED display with refresh rates up to 120Hz, an A19 Pro chip, and an IP68 rating. It is not one of the five Android replacements above.
