What the MMW34IN’s specifications tell you
Midea’s model-specific manual identifies the MMW34IN as a 34 L microwave with a rated microwave output of 1200 W and rated microwave input of 1900 W. Output and input describe different things: the first is the manufacturer’s microwave-output rating; the second is the electrical input rating. Will it fit your kitchen?
CHOICE lists external dimensions of 32 × 52 × 41 cm. Measure the intended space, including room for the door to open and access to the controls, rather than relying on the cavity capacity alone. CHOICE also advises leaving 30 cm above the appliance and 20 cm from adjacent walls, with the rear against a wall. Check the complete model manual and your installation conditions before setting it up.

The 29 cm figure is the turntable diameter, not the width of the microwave’s exterior. A plate or dish must fit on the turntable and rotate without striking the cavity walls; check the manual’s cookware guidance for the intended container.
What independent testing is publicly visible?
CHOICE’s accessible listing marks its cooking, defrosting, reheating and ease-of-use scores as member-only. Without those results, there is no sound basis here to assign the MMW34IN a performance rating, rank it against other microwaves, or claim particular strengths or weaknesses in use. Its wattage, capacity and feature list do not substitute for those tests.

Availability and model identity
CHOICE lists the MMW34IN as discontinued. That status does not prove that every seller has run out, but it means you should confirm current stock, price and seller support rather than assume the model is readily available.
Midea has a separate 34 L inverter microwave, model MMW12VT34B. Its product page lists a 315 mm glass turntable and dimensions of 519 × 407 × 318 mm; those specifications belong to that model, not the MMW34IN. Door safety and basic care
The Midea manual warns: “Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open since this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy.” It also says not to operate the oven if its door or door seals are damaged; it must first be repaired by a competent person.
Keep objects clear of the area between the oven’s front face and door. Follow the manual’s care directions to prevent soil or cleaner residue from accumulating on sealing surfaces; it warns that poor cleanliness can degrade the surface and create a dangerous situation.

- Confirm that the listing is for the exact model, MMW34IN, rather than another Midea 34 L microwave.
- Check the appliance’s exterior dimensions against your space and allow the clearances CHOICE advises; verify installation details in the manual.
- Consider whether a 29 cm turntable suits the dishes you use.
- Ask the seller to confirm stock and the support available for this discontinued model.
- If independent cooking or reheating performance matters to your decision, consult the full CHOICE test results rather than infer a score from the specifications.
