1. Samsung S30GD: a low-cost screen for everyday work
The 24-inch Samsung S30GD is the straightforward choice if you need a basic work display and want to keep the price down. Its 1080p resolution is suited to routine browsing, documents, and other everyday tasks, while the reported 100Hz refresh rate is above the traditional 60Hz baseline. That does not make it a premium gaming or color-critical monitor; the cited guide does not establish that use case.

Choose it when affordability and a modest desk footprint matter more than 4K sharpness, a large canvas, or specialized features. Check the listing for the precise configuration and connection options before purchase; the cited deal coverage does not specify ports or USB-C charging.

2. Dell 27 Plus S2725QS: 4K for a more versatile setup
The Dell S2725QS is the middle option for people who want a sharper general-purpose screen rather than the lowest purchase price. Tom’s Guide lists a 27-inch 4K display, 120Hz refresh rate, and integrated speakers. The added resolution can be useful for detailed content and a larger desktop workspace, but whether it is worthwhile depends on your tasks and computer.
Its October 3 price snapshot was $268, down from $299. Compare the live offer with what you actually need: if your work is mostly basic documents and browsing, the 24-inch 1080p Samsung may be enough; if you value higher resolution, the Dell is the more fitting of the two. The cited guide does not specify its ports or USB-C charging, so verify those on the product listing if they matter to your setup.

Could a 49-inch Samsung Odyssey G9 be a better fit?
PCWorld’s October 7, 2026 deal page lists the Samsung Odyssey G9 49-inch OLED, model LS49DG910SNXZA, at $796. PCWorld describes its curved screen area as roughly equivalent to two 1440p displays. That expansive layout can suit immersive gaming or side-by-side work, but it may not fit a smaller desk and requires substantial graphics capability to drive its maximum resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It is an alternative for people who specifically want a very large screen, not a like-for-like substitute for the three picks above.

Match the display to the job
- Basic work: A 24-inch 1080p display can be a practical, lower-cost fit.
- More detail and general use: Consider a 27-inch 4K screen if its resolution serves your workload and computer.
- Gaming immersion or broad side-by-side workspace: An ultrawide needs more room and may place greater demands on the computer.
Check fit and connections before checkout
Measure your usable desk space, including depth and room for the stand. Then compare the listing’s exact resolution, refresh rate, ports, and any USB-C charging capability against your computer and accessories. The cited deal guides do not provide complete connection details for these three models, so use the confirmed listing specifications for that check.

Compare the live price, not just the crossed-out price
A previous price on a deal page is not, by itself, proof that the current offer is unusually good. PCWorld says it compares specifications, available reviews, and value against the general market, checks price history, and avoids whitebox brands for Amazon picks because after-sale support may be lacking. PCWorld writer Michael Crider says, “We also check price history to make sure the sale is actually a sale.” That describes PCWorld’s approach, not an independently verified price-history check for these specific offers.
