For the October 2–4, 2026 weekend, choose Chucky for killer-doll horror with comic bite, Scream Queens for a campy campus slasher, or Miss Scarlet for a Victorian detective mystery. These are weekend picks, not three shows that all debut on Prime Video this weekend: the October schedule lists the first two arrivals on October 1 and Chucky on October 4.

Chucky: three seasons of killer-doll horror
Don Mancini continues the Child’s Play saga with a story in which the killer doll terrorizes a small New Jersey town. The mix of gore, dark humor and sharpness makes this the pick for viewers who want their horror to have a comic streak. Tom’s Guide lists seasons 1–3 for October 4, 2026.
Tom’s Guide reported a 95% Rotten Tomatoes score for Chucky in its 2026 article, but did not say when the score was captured. Treat it as a dated secondary-source snapshot, not a guarantee of the current rating. Tom’s Guide’s weekend roundup

Scream Queens: a satirical campus slasher
At Wallace University, a killer in a Red Devil costume targets members of Kappa Kappa Tau. Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, the series features Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis among its cast. Its camp and satire make it the more ensemble-driven horror-comedy option. Tom’s Guide lists seasons 1–2 for October 1, 2026.
The 2026 Tom’s Guide article reports Rotten Tomatoes snapshots of 68% from critics and 79% from audiences for season one. It does not provide the capture date, and the figures should not be read as current ratings without checking Rotten Tomatoes. Tom’s Guide’s weekend roundup

It is the alternative for viewers who would rather follow investigations than watch horror. Tom’s Guide lists season 1 for October 1, 2026.

Check Prime Video availability in your country
Streaming catalogs differ by territory. The October schedule cited by Tom’s Guide supplies the listed dates above, while Amazon’s separately published schedule is explicitly for the UK; it cannot confirm whether these titles are available in another country’s catalog. Amazon’s UK October schedule illustrates why a regional listing should not be treated as a worldwide availability confirmation. Check the live Prime Video listing for your account and location before planning a watch.
