The fourth candidate cannot be confirmed from the available product details, so it would be misleading to present a four-phone shortlist. The best fit depends on whether you value a lower price, a compact screen, faster wired charging, a dedicated telephoto camera, or long software support.
How much does the Galaxy S26 FE cost?
Prices vary by market and storage. Samsung India lists the 8GB/256GB Galaxy S26 FE at INR 79,999. TechRadar reported launch prices of $699 / £699 / AU$1,149 for 128GB and $799 / £799 / AU$1,299 for 256GB; those are launch prices, not current street prices. Compare local prices for the same storage and an equivalent unlocked or carrier-locked status before deciding which phone is actually cheaper.

The FE baseline is a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with up to 120Hz refresh, an Exynos 2500 processor, a 4,900mAh battery, 45W wired charging, and IP68 resistance. Its cameras include a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide, and an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. Samsung says the phone is eligible for up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from global launch. These are manufacturer-published specifications and support commitments; availability and connectivity can differ by market and carrier. Samsung says water resistance is based on lab conditions and can diminish with wear. Samsung India’s launch announcement and Samsung UK’s newsroom provide regional details.

Google Pixel 10a: the compact, lower-cost pick
The Pixel 10a is the least expensive option in the cited comparison at $499.99. Google lists a 6.3-inch pOLED display with a 60–120Hz refresh rate, Tensor G4, 8GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB storage, and a typical 5,100mAh battery. Its rear cameras are a 48MP wide and 13MP ultrawide, and Google lists IP68 resistance. Google also promises seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. Details are on Google’s Pixel phone specifications page.
Choose it if a smaller phone, Pixel software, and a long stated update window matter more than matching the FE’s screen size or camera layout. Google advertises Super Res Zoom up to 8x, but that is not optical telephoto: the Pixel 10a does not have a listed dedicated telephoto camera. Android Authority’s comparison describes its camera experience, battery life, and software as strengths and calls out the smaller display and Tensor G4 as compromises; those are the outlet’s assessments, not comparative test results.
Motorola Edge (2026): compact size and 68W charging
Android Authority lists the Motorola Edge (2026) at $600. Its comparison describes a 6.3-inch display, 5,000mAh battery, 68W wired charging, 50MP main camera, 10MP telephoto, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP selfie camera. That makes it the only one of these three alternatives with a cited 68W wired-charging figure and it includes a dedicated telephoto camera.
The central compromise is support: the same comparison reports three years of guaranteed Android OS upgrades. If you keep a phone for many years, weigh that stated guarantee against Samsung’s longer commitment and Google’s seven-year promise. Android Authority characterizes the chip as adequate for routine apps and games; no independent performance measurements are established here, so demanding gaming buyers should not treat that description as a benchmark.

Nothing Phone 4a Pro: a larger display and periscope camera
At $499 in Android Authority’s comparison, the Nothing Phone 4a Pro is presented as the larger-screen alternative among these three. Its cited highlights include a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, Glyph design, and three rear cameras: 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and 50MP periscope telephoto. A periscope camera gives it dedicated telephoto hardware at a lower cited comparison price than the FE, but the available comparison does not establish exact regional screen specifications or a full update schedule.
Android Authority says the processor is capable but does not outperform the FE’s Exynos 2500, and that Nothing’s software-update promise is less extensive than Samsung’s. Those are editorial judgments, not lab results. Consider this model if the distinctive design, larger-screen positioning, and camera versatility appeal more than the FE’s established support commitment.

Which alternative is better value for you?
- Pick the Pixel 10a if you want the lowest listed comparison price, a compact 6.3-inch phone, and Google’s stated seven-year update coverage, and can do without a dedicated telephoto camera.
- Pick the Motorola Edge (2026) if you want a compact body, 68W wired charging, and a dedicated telephoto camera, and accept the shorter three-year OS-upgrade guarantee reported by the comparison.
- Pick the Nothing Phone 4a Pro if you want a larger-screen option, a periscope telephoto camera, and the Glyph design at a lower cited price, while accepting less certain regional specification detail and a narrower update promise than Samsung’s.
- Keep the Galaxy S26 FE in contention if you want its 6.7-inch display, 3x optical telephoto, or Samsung’s stated seven-year support commitment. A cheaper sticker price alone does not make an alternative better value if it gives up a feature you rely on.
Why this is a three-phone shortlist, not four
A search-result extract from Tom’s Guide says the Samsung Galaxy A57 is $150 cheaper than the S26 FE, but does not establish the market, storage, current price, detailed specifications, or whether it is the intended fourth candidate. Without those details, it cannot be fairly compared with the confirmed alternatives or recommended as a settled pick. Check current local listings and manufacturer specifications before adding it to a buying shortlist.
