Platonic: adult-friendship comedy
Platonic pairs Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as Sylvia and Will, former friends who reconnect years after Will’s divorce. Their renewed closeness is chaotic, and new relationships in both of their lives complicate it. The article stresses that the characters remain platonic, so this is not a conventional romance.

Slow Horses: comfort for thriller fans
Tom’s Guide presents Slow Horses as the less obvious comfort pick. MI5 agents who have failed professionally are exiled to Slough House, where they answer to the foul-mouthed Jackson Lamb and get pulled into dangerous situations and conspiracies. The article argues that the humor and the ensemble can feel comforting despite the subject matter.

Apple’s US catalog classifies the show as thriller/drama. It is not low-stakes. It suits viewers who enjoy dry, cynical humor and an eccentric team of misfits, and it is a poor choice for anyone who wants a gentle, predictable episode.
