For laptop charging in a car, check the output of the specific USB-C port—not the charger’s combined wattage. The Anker Nano 167.5W, Baseus PrimeTrip VR2 Max 240W and UGREEN Nexode 145W each have a USB-C output rated at least 100W, but their port layouts and shared power differ. These are Android Central editor Namerah Saud Fatmi’s hands-on picks, not a ranking backed by independent comparative reliability testing. Android Central’s September 26, 2026 article describes the author’s personal experience; the manufacturers’ specifications provide the output details below.
What to check before choosing a car charger
- Single-port output: Confirm that the USB-C port you plan to use is rated for the laptop’s charging needs. A charger’s combined wattage does not mean one port supplies that amount.
- Power sharing: When multiple devices are connected, available output is divided among ports according to the charger’s configuration. Check the manufacturer’s port and use table if you intend to charge a laptop and other devices at once.
- Laptop and cable compatibility: The laptop must support charging over USB-C, and the cable must support the intended output. A 100W-rated port does not mean every laptop will draw 100W.
- Vehicle input: Check that the charger’s stated vehicle input matches your vehicle. UGREEN lists 12–24V input for its 145W model.
- Availability: Prices and stock change. Baseus’s official product page showed the VR2 Max sold out on October 7, 2026.

Anker Nano Car Charger: clearest port-by-port choice
The Anker Nano’s 167.5W figure is its total rating. For a laptop, the relevant specification is USB-C1, which Anker rates up to 100W. Its second USB-C port is rated up to 45W, and its USB-A port up to 22.5W. Those separate ratings make it easier to identify which connection to use when charging more than one device. Connect the laptop to USB-C1 if it needs the charger’s full rated USB-C output. The manufacturer’s ratings do not establish how much power a particular laptop will draw, or what USB-C1 supplies in every multi-port configuration; check Anker’s device label and the laptop’s charging requirements.

Baseus PrimeTrip VR2 Max: integrated cables and a 240W total
Baseus lists the PrimeTrip VR2 Max as a 240W charger, with two built-in retractable USB-C cables rated up to 105W each on its series page. Its product page lists three USB-C ports and one USB-A port. The two integrated cables can reduce the need to carry separate charging cables, but the combined 240W rating should not be read as the output available to one laptop while other ports are in use. Baseus’s series specifications and product listing are the references for the model’s configuration.

UGREEN Nexode 145W: a built-in cable plus a full-power port
UGREEN’s 145W model separates convenience from maximum laptop output: its retractable cable is rated up to 60W, while USB-C2 is rated up to 100W. USB-C1 and USB-A are each rated up to 30W. For a laptop that needs more than 60W, connect it to USB-C2 rather than relying on the built-in cable. UGREEN lists a 12–24V vehicle input. See UGREEN’s US product specifications.

Do not assume this 145W model includes a 100W cable just because a separate UGREEN product bundle does. UGREEN says its 130W car charger bundle in Canada includes an e-marked cable rated for 100W; that is a different charger and regional bundle. If you use a separate cable, verify its rating. UGREEN’s Canada page for the 130W bundle documents that cable.

- Choose the Anker if you want a clearly specified 100W USB-C port and three listed ports.
- Consider the Baseus if two integrated retractable USB-C cables and a high combined rating matter most, and first confirm current availability and power allocation for your intended combination of devices.
- Choose the UGREEN if you want an integrated cable for lower-power charging alongside a separate port rated up to 100W for a laptop.
For any of the three, match the laptop’s USB-C charging requirements to the output of the port you will use, then confirm the cable rating and the charger’s power distribution when other devices are connected.

The recommendations reflect the Android Central author’s reported hands-on use of the products and brands. The reviewed manufacturer pages describe product specifications and protection features, but they do not provide comparable independent reliability tests, failure rates or lifespan measurements. The available evidence therefore supports a practical shortlist, not an objective reliability ranking.
