These 21 Wix portfolio examples show different ways to present creative work, from image-led galleries to project pages and service-focused sites. They are useful starting points for ideas—not a verified ranking. Colorlib published its roundup on September 25, 2026, and its listed sites were not individually checked here to confirm they still use Wix. Wix’s own inspiration gallery independently features Cami Ferreol and Hedof, two names also on Colorlib’s list.
Use the examples to compare how a portfolio introduces its creator, organizes work, and guides visitors toward a next step. The design descriptions below are attributed to Colorlib rather than presented as current observations of the live sites.

How to compare portfolio website examples
A strong example is one whose structure suits the work and makes the creator’s purpose clear. Instead of choosing a site because it looks impressive at first glance, look at how it handles these practical questions.
- Profession and purpose: Is the site for an artist, photographer, illustrator, studio, agency, or service provider? The portfolio should make the kind of work and intended audience apparent.
- First screen: Can a visitor quickly identify the creator, understand what they do, and see where the work begins?
- Gallery format: Does the work benefit from a grid, masonry layout, slider, or full-screen image or video? Choose a format that helps visitors inspect the work rather than distracts from it.
- Project depth: Do selected pieces open into useful case studies or project pages with context and process, or is the portfolio mainly a gallery of thumbnails?
- Interaction: Do animation, hover states, lightboxes, or parallax make browsing clearer and more engaging, or do they get in the way?
- Navigation and next step: Are categories, contact details, services, social links, newsletter signup, or shop easy to find when relevant?
Wix’s portfolio layout guidance recommends matching layout to the field, selecting strong work, and adding context and process. Its portfolio builder page likewise emphasizes organizing projects and making contact straightforward.

What makes a Wix portfolio effective?
The examples are most useful as prompts for decisions about your own site. A portfolio should help a prospective client, employer, or audience understand both the work and what to do next.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Curate rather than dump: Lead with a focused selection of work that represents what you want to be hired or known for. Wix suggests a selected portfolio; the right amount depends on the creator and the work, not a universal count.
- Give projects context: Explain the assignment, your role, and the thinking or process behind a piece when that information helps visitors assess it.
- Use strong media: Present images and video at a quality and scale appropriate to the work, while keeping pages easy to browse.
- Include an About page: Give visitors enough information to understand who is behind the work and what they offer.
- Make contact easy: Add clear contact details or a contact form. Include a shop, newsletter signup, or service information only when it supports the portfolio’s purpose.
Wix’s Head of Organic Growth Marketing, Rebecca Tomasis, describes a portfolio as a form of storytelling, not just a showcase of work. That is a vendor perspective, but it captures a useful design principle: connect the work to the person, skills, and point of view behind it. Wix’s portfolio guidance

How to make a portfolio website with Wix
Wix’s Help Center outlines a basic setup sequence: choose a template or start from scratch, personalize the site, upload media, add About and contact information, and promote the portfolio. The exact interface can change, so follow the current prompts in Wix rather than relying on outdated button names.
- Choose a starting point: Select a portfolio template or begin with a blank site.
- Personalize the design: Set up the site’s visual style and navigation around the kind of work you want visitors to see.
- Add work as projects: Upload media and organize selected pieces so visitors can browse them in a sensible order.
- Add context and contact: Create an About page and add a contact form or other clear contact route.
- Promote the portfolio: Share the published site where prospective clients, employers, or collaborators can find it.
These are platform-level steps, not a promise that every Wix editor or template uses identical controls. Wix’s portfolio setup help article has the current guidance. Wix says its portfolio builder can be used for free; according to its product FAQ, upgrades can add a custom domain, remove Wix ads, and enable payments. Plan costs and included features vary, so check the current offer for your location before choosing.

Wix’s product page says more than 80,000 portfolio websites are published monthly. That is a Wix-published figure accessed in 2026; the page does not state its publication date or measurement method, and the statistic is not independently audited here. It should be read as a platform claim, not as a measure of active sites or proof that Wix is the right builder for every creator. Wix portfolio builder
