The 2026 Wild Card challenge has reached its third and final destination, Melbourne, and reader feedback has already changed the Destination 1 standings. Frequent Miler’s October 1 update asks readers to weigh in on Destination 2 scoring and the contestants’ Melbourne plans. One reported Destination 2 total is inconsistently attributed in the article, so it should not be treated as settled.
How reader feedback changed the first-destination standings
After the first destination livestream, judges Stephen Pepper and Carrie reconsidered scores in response to audience comments. Greg lost two points, moving from 104 to 102, after deductions related to flight luxury and wallet-friendliness. Nick gained three points, moving from 102 to 105: the five-point rideshare penalty was reduced to two after discussion of the obstacle’s wording and intent. Tim’s score rose from 101 to 107 after several scoring elements were increased.
The revised Destination 1 order was Tim first, Nick second and Greg third. These are event scores reported by Frequent Miler, not independent rankings.
What the Destination 2 update reports
Frequent Miler reports Greg’s Destination 2 score as 106 and his cumulative total as 208. The update’s text under Nick’s heading gives a Destination 2 score of 123 and an overall total of 230, but the accompanying scorecard image description identifies the 230-point scorecard as Tim’s. The available attribution is therefore unresolved: the 123-point stage result and 230-point cumulative result should not be confidently assigned to Nick or Tim without checking the full scorecard or livestream.

What readers are being asked to judge
The update invites readers to say whether Destination 2 scores were fair and whether any contestant deserves more or fewer points. It also asks for opinions on the Destination 3 flights, accommodation and activities in Melbourne, noting that reader views may influence scoring. The scoring axes offer a practical way to assess the trips: consider how affordable the choices are in points and cash, how inventive they are, what level of comfort they provide, and how realistically another traveler could reproduce them.
Because this is a points-and-miles challenge, card choices help shape the contestants’ available budgets and travel options. That context can inform how readers judge a trip’s wallet-friendliness, but it does not establish that a particular card or provider is endorsed by the judges.
