Outback Joey HeartBeat Personal Trainer (Sega Genesis)
Hardware bundled with the game Outback Joey, including the HeartBeat Catalyst, which the article says monitors heart rate, skin salinity and movement. It cites a 1,000-unit production figure and estimates about $3,505 for a loose complete set and $5,000 boxed. Both the production number and the details rest on this one article, so treat them as unverified.

Millennium 2000 Controller (Nintendo 64)
The article says 1,000 were made for the year 2000, in silver with black buttons. It estimates up to $1,500 loose and $15,810 boxed. It also notes that a loose example failed to sell at Heritage Auctions in 2024, so the high estimates are not proof of what a buyer will pay.
Elemental Gearbolt Assassin Case (PlayStation)
A prize for fewer than 50 winners of a Working Designs competition at E3 in 1998. It contained a copy of the game, a gold-plated GunCon, a red or gold-plated memory card and a metal case. The article reports a $19,200 sale at Heritage Auctions in 2022 and separately estimates up to $26,250 complete. The first is a realized sale; the second is an estimate.
Quick Recap
How to read these prices if you are buying or selling
- Sold beats estimated. Only the 2022 Assassin Case sale is a reported realized result, and the 2024 Millennium controller is a reported non-sale. Everything else is an estimate. Check completed sales on eBay or auction-house archives for the exact item, in the same condition, within the last year or two.
- Condition tiers are not interchangeable. The article’s loose, complete, boxed and unopened figures often differ by a factor of ten or more. Match your item to the exact tier.
- Verify compatibility. Many of these items fit one console revision or region only, such as the top-loader NES adapter or the Japan-only 64DD parts.
- Treat scarcity numbers with care. Production counts like 1,000 or “fewer than 50” come from the article, and the source itself calls some quantities unclear.
- Thin markets move unpredictably. With so few examples changing hands, one sale or one failed auction can swing perceived value.
