The reported $299 device price was tied to buying a year of wireless service. Android Central described the combined phone-and-service cost as $479 after a 50%-off Unlimited-plan promotion. This was not a simple unlocked-phone sale. Before considering it, calculate the full plan cost, confirm whether the phone is unlocked, check eSIM and physical-SIM support, and verify the exact model’s bands for your carrier. Mint’s current listings do not confirm that the 2024 bundle remains available.
Buy if: you already want the required prepaid service and the current total beats an unlocked Pixel. Skip if: you only want a $299 phone or need a different carrier immediately.
Motorola Razr Plus (2023), 256GB — $549.99 at Amazon
The listed price was 45% below a reported $999.99 reference price. It was a straightforward cash discount, but the 2023 foldable is an older model. Check whether the listing is new, refurbished, or open-box; identify the seller; confirm U.S. warranty coverage; and inspect return terms. Remaining software support, hinge condition, battery wear, and replacement-parts availability matter more than the percentage discount.
