The report does not establish that a specific strike or facility caused either site’s outage, or identify either tracker’s host.
What happened to 1337x?
Tom’s Hardware reported that 1337x experienced downtime after what it described as explosion-induced physical damage took several machines offline. The outlet said the tracker had already faced months of DDoS attacks, but it did not identify the site’s hosting provider or connect it to a particular damaged facility.

The report also said that strikes on September 23 affected both facilities operated by Virtual Systems, at least temporarily. It named other Ukrainian infrastructure providers and telecom operators reportedly affected, but did not show that any of them hosted 1337x or NordicQuality. Virtual Systems describes itself as a hosting provider with infrastructure in Kyiv, Amsterdam and Seattle; that general company information does not confirm a role in the trackers’ outages (Virtual Systems).

Did 1337x and NordicQuality come back online?
Yes. Tom’s Hardware reported that both trackers were online again when its October 1, 2026 article was published. That establishes a temporary interruption and recovery as reported at that time—not uninterrupted availability since then.

- Access Point Mode - Supports AP Mode to transform your wired connection into wireless network, an ideal wireless router for home
Can the outages be tied to a specific missile strike or data center?
Not on the available reporting. Tom’s Hardware described the outages as explosion-induced and discussed damage to Ukrainian infrastructure, but it could not identify the trackers’ Ukrainian data-center host or prove a link between a particular strike, facility and website.
That distinction matters because a tracker’s servers may not be directly visible to the public internet. Content-delivery networks such as Cloudflare can sit between a site and its underlying host, making it difficult to identify where the origin servers are located. A reported outage during attacks on infrastructure is not, by itself, proof of which servers were hit or why a particular site went offline.

How large is 1337x, according to the report?
Tom’s Hardware described 1337x as the second-most-visited pirating tracker and estimated that it received 40–50 million visits per month. The outlet also said the site had been online for 19 years at the time of its October 2026 report. These are the report’s figures and characterization; the material cited here does not independently verify the ranking or traffic estimate.

Does this mean the strikes achieved what lawmakers could not?
No lasting enforcement result is established. The comparison with lawmakers is a provocative way to frame a disruption, not evidence that piracy declined or that the websites were permanently disabled. The reported rebound points to the narrower conclusion: physical damage can interrupt online services, while services may return when infrastructure or operations recover.

- Dual-band Wi-Fi with 5 GHz speeds up to 867 Mbps and 2.4 GHz speeds up to 300 Mbps, delivering 1200 Mbps of total bandwidth¹. Dual-band routers do not support 6 GHz. Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- Covers up to 1,000 sq. ft. with four external antennas for stable wireless connections and optimal coverage.
- Supports IGMP Proxy/Snooping, Bridge and Tag VLAN to optimize IPTV streaming
- Access Point Mode - Supports AP Mode to transform your wired connection into wireless network, an ideal wireless router for home
- Advanced Security with WPA3 - The latest Wi-Fi security protocol, WPA3, brings new capabilities to improve cybersecurity in personal networks
Tom’s Hardware also recounted earlier shutdown and redirection attempts and blocking by Google and internet service providers in multiple countries. Those measures and the reported infrastructure disruption are different events; none of the information in the report demonstrates a durable reduction in piracy attributable to this outage.
