This guide selects 13 examples across Bosch’s US specialty, 18V, measuring, oscillating-tool and rotary-hammer categories. It is an editorial selection, not an official Bosch list of 13 models; the catalog changes over time.
How to choose a niche tool
A dedicated tool makes sense when the task is recurring, the tool improves control or access, or using a general-purpose tool would be an awkward compromise. Before buying, check the precise model’s task limits, battery platform or corded setup, included accessories, consumables and compatibility. Bosch’s US specialty category listed nine products when checked on October 7, 2026, but other relevant products appear in separate categories, so category counts are not a complete or permanent lineup total. Bosch’s US specialty-tools catalog and 18V specialty-tools catalog show how those groupings differ.

13 Bosch tools for specialized jobs
1. 18V caulk and adhesive guns
Bosch’s 18V lineup includes GCG18V-20N and GCG18V-29N caulk and adhesive gun offerings, including 20 oz. configurations. These are for controlled dispensing on jobs where repeated, even application matters more than the simplicity of a hand-powered gun. Confirm the model’s cartridge or sausage-pack compatibility and configuration on its product page; the model names alone do not establish every included component. Bosch specialty tools

2. 18V blind-rivet tool
The GRG18V-3600CN/CB24 is a dedicated tool for installing blind rivets. It may suit repeated fastening work where a purpose-built riveter is more practical than setting rivets by hand. Check the exact rivet sizes and materials the tool supports, and verify what the CN or CB24 suffix denotes for the specific listing rather than assuming kit contents from the model name. 3. 18V heat gun
The GHG18V-50N provides cordless hot air for trade tasks suited to a heat gun. Its cordless format can be useful where access to an outlet is inconvenient, but the category listing does not establish safe temperatures or appropriate use for a particular material. Follow the model manual for settings, attachments and handling guidance before applying heat. Bosch specialty tools
4. 18V compact blower
The GBL18V-71N is listed as a compact blower for site cleanup and moving loose debris. It is not a dust extractor or a substitute for a silica-control system; use appropriate dust collection and controls for hazardous dust. Consider it for cleanup tasks where a portable blower is suitable, not for capturing airborne particles. Bosch specialty tools
5. Corded mixer
Bosch lists the GBM9-16 as a mixer. A dedicated mixer is worth considering when the material and workload call for a mixing tool rather than an improvised drill-and-paddle setup. The listing alone does not establish allowable material types or batch capacity, so check the manual and product specifications against the compound you intend to mix. Bosch specialty tools

- Brushless Motor Efficiency: Both tools are equipped with brushless motors, providing longer runtime and superior performance, ensuring you can tackle demanding jobs with ease.
6. 18V mixer
The GRW18V-160N is an 18V mixer identified in Bosch’s newer product announcements. Cordless operation may be useful when moving around a site, but it does not establish which materials or batch sizes the model can handle. Confirm its limits and required paddle or other accessories in official model documentation. Bosch 18V specialty tools
7. 18V rebar cutter
The GBC18V-32 is a cold-cutting rebar tool with a tungsten-carbide-tipped blade, according to Bosch’s October 5, 2026 announcement. Bosch says it cuts #5 rebar in two seconds and handles rebar up to #10 (1-1/4 in.); these are Bosch-published specifications, not independent test results. It is a specialized option for rebar work, not a general-purpose metal saw. The announcement introduces the product but does not establish retail availability. 8. 18V concrete pencil vibrator
The GFP18V-10N and GFP18V-10L12 are 18V concrete pencil-vibrator models Bosch included among specialized concrete products. A vibrator consolidates fresh concrete; it is a task-specific tool, not a concrete drill or mixer. Confirm the correct vibrator head and operating instructions for the model and pour. Bosch’s announcement does not by itself establish retail availability. Bosch’s product announcement

9. Pin-type moisture meter
Bosch announced a pin-type moisture meter for moisture detection. This style uses contact pins, but the announcement does not provide the model’s measurement range, suitable materials or operating specifications. Check those details in product documentation before using readings to make a building or material decision. Bosch’s product announcement
10. Pinless moisture meter
Bosch also announced a pinless moisture meter. Its contact-free approach can be useful when probing a surface is undesirable, but the press announcement does not specify measurement depth, material compatibility or accuracy. Compare the detailed model specifications with the material and decision at hand rather than treating pinless readings as interchangeable with pin-type readings. Bosch’s product announcement
11. EXPERT 18V wall and floor scanner
Bosch announced an EXPERT 18V scanner with radar for detecting materials behind surfaces. That makes it a specialized tool for construction and related trades, but the announcement does not establish exactly which materials it can detect, under what conditions, or with what limitations. Consult the model specifications and instructions before relying on a scan to guide cutting, drilling or other work. Bosch’s product announcement

- INCLUDES: PS31 12V Max 3/8 inch drill driver, PS41 12V Max impact driver, (2) 2.0Ah 12V Max lithium-ion batteries, 30 minute charger and soft carrying case
12. True RMS multimeter and clamp meter
Bosch announced a True RMS digital multimeter and a clamp meter for electrical and HVAC diagnostics. These are distinct instruments; choose based on the measurement the job requires, then verify the specific model’s measurement category and ratings. The announcement does not provide enough detail to establish safe suitability for a particular electrical system. Bosch’s product announcement
13. Oscillating multi-tool
Bosch’s cordless oscillating multi-tools include the 12V Max GOP12V-28N and 18V models. Bosch lists cutting, sanding, grinding, grout removal and paint removal among their uses. The 12V format is described as compact for tight spaces and lighter tasks; the 18V range is positioned for heavier work. Match the accessory to the tool’s Starlock tier: Bosch says Starlock accessories fit Starlock, StarlockPlus and StarlockMax tools, while StarlockPlus and StarlockMax accessories are limited to their respective categories. Where rotary hammers fit
Bosch’s 18V rotary hammers are another specialized option for demanding concrete drilling and chiseling. They are not included as a separate numbered entry above because the lineup spans multiple models and capacities; the right choice depends on the work. Bosch lists both SDS-plus and SDS-max categories, which use different accessory interfaces and are not interchangeable. Compare the drilling or chiseling capacity, the required SDS interface, model-specific vibration or KickBack Control features, and compatible dust collection. Bosch points to PRO+GUARD dust collection solutions, but compatibility depends on the hammer model. Bosch 18V rotary hammers
What to verify before choosing
- Task and frequency: Choose a dedicated tool when the job recurs or its control, access or workflow advantage justifies another tool.
- Platform and setup: Check whether the model is corded or uses Bosch 12V Max or 18V batteries, and account for the battery and charger setup you need.
- Capacity and interface: Confirm the tool’s limits and the interface for its accessories or consumables, including Starlock tiers and SDS-plus versus SDS-max.
- Compatibility: Verify model-specific accessory fit, included components and replacement consumables in the official product documentation and retailer listing.
- Safety and dust management: Use model manuals and the appropriate controls for hot air, electrical diagnostics, scanning, concrete work and hazardous dust; a blower is not dust collection.
Bosch’s October 5, 2026 announcement captures the range of these jobs: “From detecting what’s behind a surface to cutting rebar and consolidating concrete, we’re addressing more of the specialized tasks that can make a difference in how work gets done.” Bosch Power Tools North America product-management director Philipp Gosau said: “As we grow the Bosch portfolio, we’re looking at where professionals need more from their tools and finding new ways to support the work they do every day,” Bosch’s announcement.
