SlashGear’s September 26, 2026 roundup reported 13 Makita 18V LXT tool categories with Amazon rating snapshots above its stated threshold: an average of at least 4.5 stars, at least 1,250 global ratings, and more than 80% five-star ratings. The list spans yard cleanup, lighting, woodworking, cutting, and fastening. Its prices and review figures are dated snapshots reported by SlashGear, not live-checked listings or results from a controlled tool test.
How to read the ratings and prices
SlashGear said it selected tools with a minimum average score of 4.5 from at least 1,250 global raters, with more than 80% of ratings being five-star. That is the roundup’s selection rule, not a general measure of tool quality or proof that a tool suits every job. Amazon ratings, review totals, prices, sellers, and configurations can change.

The figures below are the roundup’s September 26, 2026 snapshots. SlashGear reported prices in U.S. dollars; its source material does not provide a captured price for the fan. Review counts are labeled as reported, since the roundup describes some as reviews and others as global ratings.

What to check before choosing one
Start with the job, then check the tool’s exact model and configuration. Makita describes LXT as an 18V slide-style battery system and said it covered more than 350 solutions in 2026. That platform context can help when building around compatible batteries, but it does not mean every product listing includes a battery or charger.
- Match the tool to the task: distinguish, for example, an impact driver for fasteners from an impact wrench for larger nuts and bolts.
- Check the model and kit contents: confirm whether the listing is tool-only or includes batteries, a charger, and a case or bag.
- Check battery and accessory needs: account for the battery capacity relevant to runtime and confirm that blades, bits, pads, sockets, or other accessories fit.
- Recheck the live listing: prices, stock, sellers, product bundles, and ratings may have changed since the September 26, 2026 snapshot.
- Read ratings as one signal: compare the average score, number of ratings, and five-star share separately; none alone establishes durability or suitability for a particular user.
Makita’s official LXT materials describe the broader system, while its official product pages illustrate why model and kit details matter: the XDT13T and XT299T pages show kit configurations, and the XOC02Z page identifies a tool-only configuration. Confirm the contents on the exact product page you plan to buy.
