Strong pizzeria websites make it easy to take the next step—order, reserve a table, or find practical details—while showing what makes that restaurant distinctive. The examples below focus on 12 pizza-specific designs highlighted in a September 2026 guide, not a ranked list of 17: the available examples support useful comparisons, but not a defensible claim that these are objectively the “best.”
How to judge a pizzeria website
A useful design does two jobs at once: it helps a visitor complete a task and communicates why this restaurant is worth choosing. Look at the site through these six lenses:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Customer task: Is the main purpose ordering takeout, booking a table, discovering the restaurant, or finding a location?
- Brand story: Does the site emphasize a signature pizza, chef, dining room, neighborhood, or history?
- Hero image: Does the first screen show food, the room, a maker at work, or another subject that fits the restaurant?
- Action visibility: Can visitors quickly find the most relevant order, reservation, menu, or directions action?
- Information access: Are menu details, hours, locations, catering, dietary information, and contact details easy to locate?
- Mobile usability: Are text and buttons legible and easy to tap, and do food images load without getting in the way?
These are practical comparison criteria, not a formula for predicting conversion. The examples illustrate design choices; they are not controlled tests of which layout performs best.

12 pizzeria website designs and the ideas they illustrate
The examples below are drawn from a September 2026 guide that covers 12 pizzerias. Rather than assigning an unsupported ranking, each is considered for the design choice described in that guide. Websites can change, so check current menus, hours, navigation, and ordering or reservation paths before relying on any particular detail.
#1 Best Overall
Pizzeria Beddia: lead with the dining experience
Pizzeria Beddia opens on its dining room and gives reservations a prominent role. That approach suits a destination restaurant where the occasion and hospitality are part of the appeal, not just a quick slice.
Tony’s Pizza Napoletana: put the maker in the frame
Tony’s Pizza Napoletana features pizzaiolo Tony Gemignani at work and keeps an ordering action in the header. The combination connects the restaurant’s craft and personality with a practical route to purchase.
Kesté: connect place, chef, and action
Kesté pairs a location-specific headline with its chef, proof points, and reservation and online-order actions. The design makes the restaurant’s sense of place part of its introduction while giving visitors clear next steps.
L’Industrie: make the signature item the hook
L’Industrie gives an overhead pizza image the lead and uses “Home of the Burrata Slice” as its positioning. A named signature item is more specific than a generic promise of good pizza and gives the visitor a memorable point of entry.
Rank #3
- Portable Size: The server book is designed at a convenient size of 8.0" x 5.1" x 0.8", making it perfect for holding a regular guest checkbook and fitting snugly into your apron pocket. This compact design allows for easy access and portability wherever you go.
- Durable Quality: Crafted from vegan leather, this server book showcases outstanding craftsmanship and quality. Not only does the material offer durability, but it also exudes a sophisticated appearance that distinguishes it from other server books in terms of style and elegance.
- Convenient for Writing: The strategically placed pen holder on the side, rather than in the middle, ensures seamless access to your pen while taking orders. This thoughtful design enables quick note-taking without any interruptions. Additionally, the sturdy writing surface enhances stability and precision when writing down important information.
- Big Capacity: With a total of nine pockets, this server book provides ample space to organize various items such as a checkbook, cash, change, credit card slips, and other essential documents. The zippered pocket included ensures the security of your coins and bills, offering peace of mind.
- Keep Organized: Going beyond practicality, this server book streamlines service processes. By using this server book, you can efficiently maintain organization and have all necessary items easily accessible while serving customers, ultimately enhancing your efficiency in providing exceptional service.
Other examples: compare the design choices, not a claimed ranking
The September 2026 guide includes eight additional pizza-specific examples, but the material available here does not establish their names or describe their individual designs. They are therefore not named or characterized here. That makes this a transparent, partial selection rather than a fabricated list of 17 or an unsupported ranking.
Should a pizzeria show the pizza or the room first?
Choose the hero subject based on why customers visit. A close-up or overhead food image can suit a quick craving or a signature item. The dining room can lead when atmosphere and reservations are central. A chef or pizzaiolo at work can make sense when craft and personal reputation set the restaurant apart. These are observed design approaches, not proven conversion rules.
Rank #4
- Used Book in Good Condition
Specific details help the visual identity feel like the restaurant rather than a generic pizza template: a named menu item, neighborhood, founder or chef, founding year, or distinctive visual language. Use authentic restaurant imagery; do not treat any particular image choice as guaranteed to increase sales.
Make useful information part of the design
A beautiful first screen is not enough if visitors cannot find what they need. Keep the primary action aligned with the business model—ordering for a takeout-led shop, reservations for a dining-room destination—and make secondary information easy to reach. That may include the menu, hours, address, locations, catering, dietary details, and contact information.

DoorDash’s published guidance dated September 29, 2026 recommends mobile-first design, quick access to menus and ordering, readable menus on web pages rather than PDF-only menus, and fast-loading food imagery. These are recommendations from a commerce platform provider, not independently established performance findings. Applying them means checking the actual mobile experience: legible type, clear tap targets, accessible key actions, and images that do not delay access to essentials.
A broader framework for evaluating restaurant sites
The Web Marketing Association’s restaurant website awards use criteria including design, ease of use, copywriting, interactivity, use of technology, innovation, and content. The association names Seagar’s Website as its 2026 Best Restaurant Site and says the 2026 competition has ended. This offers general restaurant-site judging context; it does not mean any of the pizzeria examples above won an award.
Quick Recap
How to apply these ideas to a pizzeria site
- Choose the main visitor task. Decide whether the site should first help someone order, reserve, or discover basic information.
- Pick a hero that supports that task and the restaurant’s identity. Consider the signature pizza, dining room, or person behind the food.
- Make the primary action easy to spot. Give it stronger visual weight than secondary links instead of presenting every action as equally important.
- Put practical details within easy reach. Make the menu, hours, location, and other relevant information straightforward to access.
- Review the site on a phone. Check readability, tap targets, image loading, and how quickly a visitor can reach ordering or reservations.
