10 Free HTML Newsletter Signup Form Templates for 2026

Colorlib’s 10 free newsletter signup form templates offer layouts for different contexts, including a homepage hero, footer, sidebar, popup, article slide-in, and editorial form. The publisher describes them as HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. They provide the front-end design—not subscriber storage or email delivery—so you must connect the form to an email service endpoint or your own backend.

Which of the 10 templates fits your site?

The options below are from Colorlib’s September 25, 2026 roundup. Choose based on where the form will appear, what information you need, and how the signup interaction should work. These are use-case suggestions, not a ranking based on conversion testing.

Template Placement and purpose Fields or interaction Mobile behavior
V01 Hero email capture for a landing page or blog homepage, with benefits and a sample issue preview. Email signup. The field and button stack; the preview moves below the copy.
V02 Dark footer band for SaaS, product, or developer sites. Footer signup followed by a confirmation state. Not stated by Colorlib.
V03 Preference card for a signup page or preference center. Six topic checkboxes, a select-all toggle, selected count, and an email-frequency hint. Not stated by Colorlib.
V04 Promotional popup for a shop or content site offering an incentive. Native dialog, dismissal, and a “don’t show again” choice the demo remembers. Not stated by Colorlib.
V05 Slide-in for blogs, long-form articles, or documentation. Appears after the reader scrolls halfway through an article. Becomes a bottom sheet.
V06 Signup flow for a newsletter or SaaS product using double opt-in. Check-your-inbox state, resend cooldown, and a route to change the email address. Not stated by Colorlib.
V07 Sidebar widget for a blog, magazine, or personal journal. Short pitch, reader count, sample issue link, and email field. Not stated by Colorlib.
V08 Split card for media newsletters with different schedules or formats. Name and email, daily/weekly/monthly frequency, and HTML/plain-text format. Not stated by Colorlib.
V09 Illustrated signup for consumer, children’s, or hobby brands. Inline SVG illustration and mailbox success animation. Not stated by Colorlib.
V10 Minimal editorial form for magazines, essay newsletters, or editorial sites. Single underline email field with serif styling. Not stated by Colorlib.

Colorlib describes the demos as including email validation and success states, with real preference or frequency inputs where relevant. Those are descriptions of the demos, not independently verified performance findings. The roundup reports no controlled conversion study or attributable signup-performance statistic, so it cannot establish which design gets more subscribers.

How to choose a signup pattern

Start with the location

For a prominent landing-page or homepage placement, consider V01. For a signup at the end of the page, V02 is the footer-focused option; V07 is intended for a blog sidebar. V05 is designed to appear during an article, while V04 uses a popup. V03 is more suitable when readers should select topics, and V10 suits a restrained editorial look.

Request only information you will use

An email-only form asks for less than a form that also requests a name, topics, frequency, or message format. V03 and V08 offer more preference controls; use them when those choices will shape what subscribers receive. Avoid adding fields simply because a template includes them.

Make the interaction and expectations clear

If you use an overlay, make it dismissible and explain what the reader will receive. State the expected sending frequency where it matters. For a double-opt-in flow such as V06, give subscribers a clear next step after they submit, such as checking their inbox.

What the templates include—and what they do not

Colorlib describes the templates as plain HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, without a required jQuery, Bootstrap file, or plugin. The publisher says they can be used on their own or within Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 projects. Its roundup also describes validation, success states, and interactions that vary by design.

A front-end form does not, by itself, deliver submissions to a mailing list. As Colorlib author Aigars Silkalns puts it, “The templates are front end only; nothing is sent.” Set the form to submit to your email provider’s signup endpoint or to a backend you operate. Confirmation-email handling belongs server-side; the browser-side success message alone does not complete subscription management.

Possible ways to receive submissions

These are examples of relevant service documentation, not endorsements. Check each provider’s current features and terms before choosing one.

  • Zoho Forms offers an embeddable newsletter signup form template for contact details and subscription preferences.
