HubSpot Breeze is a natural fit for CRM-grounded campaign drafts inside HubSpot; AirOps targets repeatable SEO and content workflows; Optimizely Opal is built around experimentation and on-site personalization. The options below are job-fit candidates, not a tested ranking: compare their workflow depth, data connections, approval controls, and current costs before choosing.
What counts as an AI marketing agent?
A tool that drafts a headline when prompted is not necessarily an agent. In this comparison, an agent is a system that can carry out connected steps over time and act within some set of permissions—for example, moving from a campaign brief to audience selection, content variants, review, and a next action. How much of that sequence a product actually performs, and what it can do without approval, varies by product and configuration.

That distinction matters in marketing because generating a draft is different from sending a campaign, publishing a page, or changing an experiment. Ask vendors to show the complete workflow, including the handoff where a person can review, edit, approve, or stop it.

1. HubSpot Breeze: campaign work grounded in CRM context
HubSpot’s campaign agent uses account data, brand-voice settings, AI context, and a campaign brief to draft connected campaign assets. HubSpot says the drafts are not automatically published and can be reviewed and edited before they go live. Its documentation also specifies Marketing Studio beta access and account-level AI settings. This makes Breeze a practical candidate for a team already working in HubSpot that wants help assembling drafts without handing over automatic publication.

2. Salesforce Agentforce for Marketing / Campaign Agent: Salesforce campaign orchestration
Salesforce describes a marketer defining a goal, selecting a Data Cloud audience, creating channel and content variations, and prioritizing or suppressing sends. The vendor says review and approval controls remain available. Salesforce’s Campaign Agent page stated general availability in Marketing Cloud Next Advanced by October 2026, subject to limitations, with additional costs for further agentic campaigns and content generations. Because that timing is a vendor statement tied to a specific product edition and month, confirm actual availability, eligibility, and fees with Salesforce before planning a rollout.
3. Jasper: brand-aware, multi-step content work
Jasper describes agents that can use brand voice, personas, company and product knowledge, best practices, permissions, policies, and controls as context. Its vendor-described workflows can span multiple steps and longer-running tasks, with memory and refinement; people set the intent and approve outputs. That makes Jasper worth considering when a team needs a standalone marketing-content workflow with persistent brand and audience context. These are vendor-reported capabilities, not independent evidence of content quality or performance.
4. Writer: enterprise content operations
Writer is a candidate for organizations that need content grounded in company facts and governed through administrative approval controls. The comparison describes its Knowledge Graph and admin-governed approvals, but the exact capabilities and packaging should be confirmed against current Writer documentation and the intended plan. During evaluation, test whether the system can ground the specific claims your team publishes and how administrators control approval and access.
Rank #3
5. Copy.ai GTM: connected go-to-market workflows
Copy.ai GTM is aimed at teams that want research, drafting, and distribution connected in go-to-market workflows rather than handled as isolated prompts. The described process stages output for review before it moves downstream. Map the workflow to your actual systems and confirm where review happens, what information each step can access, and which downstream actions require explicit approval.
6. Adobe GenStudio agents: governed creative at enterprise scale
Adobe GenStudio agents are positioned for enterprise brands producing creative at high volume within the Adobe ecosystem and using governed templates. The comparison characterizes pricing as custom, so obtain a current quote and establish which agent capabilities, integrations, and usage are included. This is a better fit to investigate when creative production and brand controls are already part of an Adobe-centered operation than when the main need is a general-purpose campaign agent.
Rank #4
7. Typeface: creative generation shaped by brand assets
Typeface is another enterprise creative option. The comparison describes an approach that draws on an asset library and includes enterprise review, but the precise current capabilities and contract terms need confirmation with the vendor. Ask for a demonstration using representative approved brand materials and verify how reviewers inspect and approve generated assets.

AirOps is suited to teams building repeatable content operations that connect briefs, drafts, and a CMS publishing step. Make review an explicit checkpoint before anything is published, and verify that the integrations and workflow support the specific CMS and publishing controls you use. A pipeline that can reach a CMS is not, by itself, evidence that every publication step is safe to automate.
9. Optimizely Opal: experimentation and personalization
Optimizely Opal focuses on experimentation and on-site personalization within the Optimizely platform. Teams should compare its experiment controls and guardrails with their existing testing process, including who approves changes and how tests are monitored. Its fit is strongest when experimentation is the job to solve, not simply because a team wants an agent to generate more marketing content.
10. Lindy, Gumloop, or Relevance AI: build a tailored agent workflow
These are build-your-own paths rather than interchangeable packaged marketing suites. They may suit a team looking for custom agents, operations-heavy pipelines, or multi-agent templates, but the right choice depends on the workflow being built. Brand governance and approval steps may need to be configured by the team. Before adopting one, document the systems it can access, the actions it is allowed to take, and the points where a person must review or authorize work.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to choose the right one for your team
- Start with a recurring job. Define the task and its finish line: campaign assembly, content production, creative generation, SEO publishing, experimentation, or custom orchestration. If the need is a one-off draft, a simpler AI writing tool may be enough.
- Match the agent to your stack. Check whether it can use the CRM, customer data, asset library, CMS, or advertising systems that the workflow depends on. A product’s general ability to generate content does not establish that it can safely work with your organization’s records or publishing setup.
- Trace the whole workflow. List each step from input to outcome and ask what the product does at each stage. Distinguish multi-step execution from a tool that only returns a draft for someone else to process.
- Inspect grounding and governance. Identify which approved company facts, audience details, brand materials, and product information the agent uses. Confirm who can change its instructions, permissions, and policies.
- Set approval boundaries. Decide which actions can happen automatically and which require human review—especially sending, publishing, audience activation, and experiment changes. Confirm that reviewers can edit or stop the work before a consequential action.
- Verify procurement details. Get current information on license tiers, usage credits, per-action costs, add-ons, and enterprise sales requirements. Costs and packaging differ across products and can change, so do not compare vendors using an unverified headline price.
Can AI agents run marketing campaigns?
Some products are designed to coordinate parts of a campaign, including audience selection, content variation, prioritization, and handoffs. That does not mean every product can autonomously launch campaigns, nor that it should. HubSpot says its campaign drafts are not automatically published, while Salesforce describes review and approval controls for its Campaign Agent. For any vendor, confirm the exact permissions, approval steps, and live actions available in your edition before allowing an agent to affect customers.
