如果双击 .md 文件时 Windows 提示“你要如何打开这个文件”，说明系统尚未关联默认应用。此时选择合适的编辑器并设置为默认即可。若文件显示乱码，可在编辑器中尝试切换编码为 UTF-8；若文件来自网络或压缩包，先将其解压到本地文件夹再打开，能避免权限、路径过长或同步软件占用造成的打开失败。
在 macOS 和 Linux 上打开 .md 文件
在 macOS 和 Linux 中，.md 文件本质上是纯文本文件，因此无需安装专用软件也能打开。你可以直接用系统自带的文本编辑器查看内容：在 macOS 上使用“文本编辑”，在多数 Linux 发行版中使用 Gedit、Kate、Mousepad、Text Editor 或类似工具。双击文件后，如果系统没有自动关联程序，可以右键点击 .md 文件，选择“打开方式”，再指定合适的文本编辑器。

移动设备上常见的打开方式
- 文件管理器直接打开：适合快速查看短文本，例如说明文档、安装步骤、会议记录。

如果只是阅读 .md 文件，选择带“预览”或“阅读模式”的应用会更舒服，尤其是在平板上查看长文档时。若需要编辑，建议确认应用是否支持 UTF-8 编码、自动保存、文件夹访问、云同步和导出功能。中文内容较多的文件，应优先使用能正确识别中文标点、换行和字符编码的应用；包含图片的 Markdown 文件，则要注意图片路径是否仍然有效，因为移动设备上移动文件位置后，原来的相对路径可能失效，导致图片无法显示。
收到别人通过微信、QQ、邮件或即时通讯软件发送的 .md 文件时，如果点击后提示“无法预览”，可以先将文件保存到本机或云盘，再从 Markdown 应用中打开。部分聊天应用会把文件当作未知格式处理，但这并不代表文件损坏。也可以尝试把文件扩展名暂时改为 .txt 来查看内容；确认内容正常后，再改回 .md 并使用 Markdown 编辑器进行预览和编辑。

如果双击 .md 文件没有反应、系统提示“无法打开此文件”，或打开后显示乱码，通常不是文件本身太特殊，而是关联程序、编码、扩展名或文件来源出了问题。.md 本质上是纯文本文件，大多数文本编辑器都能读取，因此排查时可以先用最基础的方式确认文件是否可读，再考虑 Markdown 预览和格式渲染。
先确认文件扩展名和默认打开方式
在 Windows 中，打开文件资源管理器的“查看”选项，启用“文件扩展名”，检查文件名是否真的以 .md 结尾。有些文件可能显示为 README.md.txt，这会导致 Markdown 编辑器无法正确识别。确认后，右键文件选择“打开方式”，尝试使用记事本、Visual Studio Code、Typora 或 Obsidian 打开；如果能正常显示文本，再将合适的编辑器设为默认应用。
在 macOS 上，可以右键 .md 文件，选择“打开方式”，用“文本编辑”、Visual Studio Code、MacDown 或 iA Writer 打开。若系统总是用错误程序启动，选中文件后按 Command + I，在“打开方式”中选择目标应用，并点击“全部更改”。在 Linux 中，可右键选择文本编辑器，或在终端中使用 cat 文件名.md、less 文件名.md 快速确认内容是否存在。
处理乱码、空白和格式显示异常
如果文件打开后出现中文乱码，优先检查编码。Markdown 文件通常使用 UTF-8 编码，某些旧文件可能是 GBK、GB2312 或其他编码。可以使用 Visual Studio Code 打开文件，点击窗口右下角的编码名称，选择“通过编码重新打开”，依次尝试 UTF-8、GBK 等选项；确认正确后，再选择“通过编码保存”为 UTF-8，便于跨平台查看。
- 只显示符号而不是排版：这是正常现象，Markdown 源文件本来就包含 #、*、-、[]() 等标记。需要点击编辑器中的“预览”按钮，或使用支持实时预览的工具。
- 文件显示为空：查看文件大小是否为 0 KB；如果来自下载、同步盘或邮件附件，重新下载或从原位置复制一份。
- 图片无法显示：Markdown 中的图片多为相对路径或网络链接，需确认图片文件仍在对应文件夹，或网络地址可以访问。
- 表格、公式渲染不正常：不同编辑器支持的 Markdown 扩展不同，可尝试 Typora、MarkText、Obsidian 或 VS Code 插件。
检查文件来源、权限和损坏情况
从压缩包、网盘、Git 仓库或聊天工具获得的 .md 文件，可能因为下载未完成、权限受限或同步冲突而打不开。可以先将文件复制到桌面或文档文件夹，再用编辑器打开；如果文件位于受保护目录，尝试以管理员权限运行编辑器，或修改文件属性中的只读状态。对于来自互联网的文件，还可以右键查看属性，若出现“解除锁定”选项，勾选后再打开。
如果怀疑文件损坏，可以用多个文本编辑器测试，例如记事本、pad++、VS Code、Sublime Text 或系统自带终端工具。仍然无法读取时，查看是否有备份版本：Windows 可检查“以前的版本”，macOS 可使用 Time Machine，云盘可查看历史版本，Git 项目则可通过提交记录恢复。只要文件中仍有可读文本，通常可以复制内容到一个新的 UTF-8 文本文件中，并重新保存为 .md。
