デジタル証明書の入れ方はOSと証明書の種類で異なります。Windowsでは証明書ストア、Macではキーチェーン、ChromebookではChromeの証明書設定、Androidでは端末のセキュリティ設定から登録します。iPhoneやiPadでは手動で追加したルート証明書について、別途信頼を有効にする必要がある場合があります。まず証明書の目的と配布元を確認し、仕事や学校の端末では管理者の指定手順を優先してください。
インストール前に確認すること
証明書ファイルを開く前に、誰が発行・配布したものか、何に使うのか、どの端末に入れるのかを確認します。仕事や学校のWi-Fi、VPN、社内サイトで使う場合は、必要な証明書と登録方法をネットワーク管理者に尋ねてください。組織の認証局（CA）やモバイルデバイス管理（MDM）への登録が必要なら、ファイルを手動で追加するだけでは利用できないことがあります。GoogleのChromeOS向け管理者ガイドとAppleの証明書配布ガイドは、組織で管理する端末や証明書の配布方法を説明しています。

証明書、ルートCA、ユーザーIDの違い
- サーバー証明書：サーバーの身元を確認するための証明書です。
- ルートCA証明書：その認証局を信頼するための証明書です。追加すると端末の信頼判断に影響するため、配布元と目的を特に慎重に確認してください。
- ユーザー証明書（ID証明書）：利用者や端末の認証に使います。対応する秘密鍵を含むことがあります。
`.p12` と `.pfx` は秘密鍵を含むことがあるPKCS #12形式で、パスフレーズで保護される場合があります。証明書自体は公開配布できる場合がありますが、秘密鍵を含むファイルは安全に扱い、公開場所に置いたり、依頼されていない相手へ送ったりしないでください。Appleは証明書形式と安全な配布について証明書配布に関する資料で説明しています。

Windowsでは証明書ストアに登録します。対象を現在のユーザーだけにするか、コンピューター全体にするかは、証明書を使うアプリやアカウントによって異なります。MicrosoftのCurrent UserとLocal Machineの証明書ストアの説明を参照し、組織から指定されたスコープを選んでください。

- スタートメニューで「MMC」を検索し、Microsoft Management Consoleを開きます。
- 「ファイル」から「スナップインの追加と削除」を開き、「証明書」を追加します。
- 「ユーザー アカウント」または「コンピューター アカウント」を選択します。コンピューター全体に適用する設定では管理者権限が必要になることがあります。
- 左側で用途に合う証明書ストアを選びます。証明書を右クリックし、「すべてのタスク」>「インポート」を選んでウィザードを進めます。Microsoftは証明書ストアの役割をCertificate Storesで説明しています。
- ファイルを指定し、必要に応じてパスワードを入力して、選択したストアへの登録を完了します。
ルートCAを追加する場合の注意
ルートCA証明書を「信頼されたルート証明機関」ストアに追加すると、そのユーザーまたはコンピューターの範囲でWindowsが信頼する認証局に加わります。提供元、用途、拇印（証明書の指紋）を確認し、信頼する根拠がある場合に限って追加してください。MicrosoftのTrusted Root Certification Authoritiesストアの説明も参照できます。
Macに証明書をインストールする
Macでは証明書ファイルを開き、キーチェーンアクセスで内容を確認して、用途に適したキーチェーンへ追加します。秘密鍵を含むユーザーIDを追加するときは、ファイルを保護するパスワードの入力を求められることがあります。利用するキーチェーンや設定は、会社・学校の指示があればそれに従ってください。Appleは証明書を含むプロファイルの配布方法をAppleデバイスへの証明書配布で案内しています。

iPhoneやiPadで手動導入した証明書を信頼する
メール添付やWebから手動でプロファイルを入れたルート証明書は、SSL/TLS接続のために自動で信頼されない場合があります。必要な証明書を管理者から受け取った場合は、次の場所を確認します。

- 対象のルート証明書について、必要な信頼設定を有効にします。
不明な証明書の信頼を有効にしないでください。AppleはConfiguratorまたはMDMを通じた配布を推奨し、手動でインストールした証明書の信頼設定をiOS、iPadOS、visionOSで手動インストールした証明書プロファイルを信頼する方法で案内しています。管理サービスで使える設定や対応形式はOSやサービスによって異なります。関連する設定項目はAppleデバイスの証明書ペイロード設定で確認できます。

Chromebookに証明書をインストールする
Chromebookでは、サーバー証明書とユーザー証明書でインポート先が異なります。Chromeを開き、アドレスバーに chrome://settings/certificates と入力します。
サーバー証明書を追加する
- 「Authorities」タブを開き、「Import」を選びます。
- X.509証明書ファイルを指定し、表示される選択肢を確認してインポートします。
ユーザー証明書を追加する
- 「Your certificates」タブから「Import and Bind」を選びます。
- 通常は `.pfx` または `.p12` のファイルを指定します。
- 求められた場合は証明書のパスワードを入力します。不明なら管理者に確認してください。
GoogleのChromebookのVPN設定ガイドは証明書のインポート手順を案内しています。VPNやEAP無線認証で使うクライアント証明書について、同ガイドはRSA対応を記載し、ECCには対応しないとしています。管理対象のChromebookでは、利用者による手動登録ではなく、管理者が証明書を発行・配布する場合があります。詳細はChromeOSデバイスのクライアント証明書管理を確認してください。

Androidに証明書をインストールする
Google Pixel向けの手順では、次のメニューから証明書を追加します。

- 「設定」>「セキュリティとプライバシー」>「その他のセキュリティ設定」>「暗号化と認証情報」>「証明書をインストール」を開きます。
- 保存場所と証明書ファイルを選びます。
- 必要に応じてキーストアのパスワードを入力し、画面の案内に従います。
この経路はGoogle Pixel向けの案内です。Googleは一部の手順がAndroid 14以降でのみ動作すると注記しているため、他社製端末ではメーカーの説明と実際の設定メニューを確認してください。出典はGoogle Pixelの証明書を追加・削除する手順です。

インストール後の確認と問題への対処
- Windowsで証明書を見つけられない：MMCで選んだユーザー／コンピューターのスコープと、インポート先のストアを確認します。
- iPhoneやiPadでWebサイト用に信頼されない：手動導入したルート証明書なら、「証明書信頼設定」に対象が表示され、必要な信頼が有効か確認します。
- Chromebookでパスワードが分からない：証明書を発行・配布したネットワーク管理者に問い合わせます。
- 社内Wi-FiやVPNで認証されない：証明書の種類、有効期限、CAチェーン、配布手順、端末管理ポリシーを管理者に確認します。端末に証明書が存在するだけで、組織側の登録や認証条件を満たすとは限りません。
- 追加すべきか判断できない：用途や出所が不明なルート証明書は追加せず、発行元や管理者に確認します。
