选存储时，先分清三个问题：数据存在哪种介质上，设备如何连接到主机，以及应用通过块、文件还是对象访问数据。SSD、NAS、云存储分别属于不同层面的概念，不能直接当作同类选项比较。本文按这三个层面梳理常见存储方式，并给出适合不同需求的选择路径。
先弄清楚：存储有三个不同层面
NIST 在《SP 800-209》（2020 年 10 月 26 日发布）中将数据存储技术定义为用于持久存储计算机数据的设备、对象与过程，并从两个角度分类：存储位于主机本地还是通过网络提供；客户端以块、文件还是对象的方式访问数据。物理介质则是另一个维度。

这三层可以组合。例如，SSD 是介质，USB 外置硬盘属于直连方式，而 NAS 通常通过网络提供文件访问。把这些术语分开，才能根据工作负载而不是名词表面做选择。

介质回答的是“数据记录在哪里”。NIST SP 800-209 列出的常见类别包括磁性、光学和半导体介质；分子、全息和 DNA 类存储属于实验性或较少见方向，不是一般用户日常采购时的常规选项。

SSD 和 HDD 有什么区别？
两者都是存储设备，但使用的介质不同：HDD 以旋转磁盘记录数据，SSD 使用半导体存储。这个区别本身不能推出一个对所有场景都更好的结论。比较具体方案时，应结合所需容量、访问模式、性能要求、设备兼容性、管理方式和恢复需求；没有适用于所有用户的统一速度、寿命或故障率结论。
如果需要随身携带或与设备直接连接，可按接口与用途比较便携式 SSD、外置 HDD 或 USB 闪存盘。若考虑为现有内部硬盘加装 USB 硬盘盒，必须先核对硬盘尺寸规格和接口是否兼容；“能装进盒子”不代表接口一定匹配。

连接方式：DAS、NAS 和 SAN
DAS 与 NAS、SAN 的主要区别在于存储是直连主机，还是通过网络提供访问；NAS 和 SAN 又分别偏向文件级与块级访问。NIST SP 800-209 将 DAS 描述为集成在主机内或外接到主机的存储，例如经 USB 连接的设备。

NAS 与 SAN 有什么区别？
最实用的区分是看客户端得到什么：NAS 提供网络文件访问，SAN 提供网络块访问。块服务向主机呈现固定大小的数据块，由主机操作系统管理；文件服务则让客户端按文件与目录的方式访问数据。因此，NAS 和 SAN 不是 HDD 与 SSD 那样的介质对比，也不能仅凭“都连着网络”就视为相同方案。

访问类型：块、文件和对象存储
块、文件和对象描述的是客户端访问存储的服务接口，不等同于硬盘类型，也不专属于某一种网络架构。NIST 指出，服务选择取决于具体 IT 系统的使用情境，例如数据量、所需控制程度、性能要求和数据表示方式。

以上是 AWS 对其云存储服务的应用示例，不是所有厂商服务都具备相同属性的保证。对象、块和文件首先是访问方式；“云存储”则说明服务通过云提供，不能把云当成一种物理介质。云服务底层仍由实际存储设备承载。

AWS 在 2023 年对其 S3 服务给出的设计耐久性表述为 99.999999999%。这是 AWS 针对 S3 的设计声明，不是独立实测结果，也不能泛化为所有对象存储服务的指标或保证。

先明确数据如何使用，再比较设备或服务。NIST 明确指出，存储服务取决于使用情境；容量、控制需求、性能和数据表示方式是重要考量。实际决策还应考虑共享方式、管理负担、安全、恢复和总成本。

- 确认数据和工作负载。记录数据类型、现有容量、预期增长，以及应用按块、文件还是对象处理数据。
- 确定访问路径。若主要由一台主机直接使用，可评估 DAS；若需要网络文件共享，可评估 NAS；若主机需要通过网络访问块设备，则可评估 SAN。云服务应根据所需的块、文件或对象接口进一步筛选。
- 明确性能与控制要求。写清楚应用对延迟、带宽、可控程度及数据表示方式的要求，再检查候选服务是否支持这些条件。不要用一个介质名称代替实际性能验证。
- 核对容量与设备兼容性。比较现有容量和增长空间；购买硬盘、硬盘盒或连接设备时，确认尺寸、接口、主机和操作系统支持情况。
- 把安全与恢复纳入方案。检查传输链路保护、访问控制、管理权限、备份隔离或恢复安排，以及设备退役时的数据处置方式。
- 比较总成本和运维工作。将设备或服务费用与部署、管理、扩容、安全和恢复所需的工作一并考虑。没有适用于所有工作负载的统一成本排名。
常见需求的起点
- 单台电脑扩容：从 DAS 入手，比较内置或外置设备；外置方案要核对连接接口与主机兼容性。
- 在多台设备间共享文件：关注 NAS 或提供共享文件系统的服务，并确认网络访问、用户权限和管理需求。
- 主机需要网络块设备：关注 SAN 类服务及其协议和主机支持情况，而不是只比较 NAS 的容量。
- 保存云端内容或构建备份流程：根据所需对象、块或文件接口选择服务，并把恢复要求与安全控制一起评估。AWS 的用途分类可作其自身服务的例子，不能代替对其他服务的逐项核实。
存储安全不止是“加密硬盘”
存储安全覆盖数据处于静止状态时的保护，也覆盖数据经存储通信链路传输时的保护。ISO/IEC 27040:2024（第二版，2024 年 1 月发布）的范围还涉及设备与介质、管理活动、应用与服务、用户活动和存储设备的生命周期终止处置。
- 数据与链路：分别确认静态数据和传输中数据的保护措施，不要把一个环节的保护当成全部安全。
- 设备、服务与管理：检查设备和服务的访问控制，以及管理活动和用户操作的权限边界。
- 备份与恢复：确认备份能否在主平台或日常管理环境受损时仍受到保护并可恢复。
- 退役处置：设备更换或淘汰时，考虑其中数据如何安全处理。
标准状态也需要区分。NIST SP 800-209 最终版发表于 2020 年 10 月 26 日。NIST 于 2026 年 7 月 22 日发布 SP 800-209 Rev. 1 初始公开草案，草案意见征集期于 2026 年 9 月 8 日结束；截至 2026 年 10 月 4 日，它仍应称为草案，而非已采纳的最终修订版。该草案调整了存储相关威胁与风险内容，新增对平台安全遭破坏、数据韧性或保护受损的关注，并重新组织控制措施。
