macOS
“支持Mac”取决于具体版本和文件系统。NTFS通常可在Mac上读取但不能原生写入；exFAT适合Windows与Mac之间共享；APFS或HFS+更适合Mac专用场景。重新格式化会删除原有数据。Mac专用版本的历史资料还提到过PC使用HFS+驱动，实际可用性应以对应型号支持页为准。Mac版本规格

软件、容量与备份安全
Seagate Toolkit可设置自动备份，SeaTools可进行健康检查和短测试；不安装它们，硬盘仍能作为普通存储设备使用。软件自动化不等于完整备份，单个外置盘仍是单点故障。建议遵循3-2-1原则：保留3份数据、使用2种介质、至少1份放在异地或云端。

故障排查
无法识别
依次更换USB端口和数据线，避免无源集线器，在另一台电脑上测试，并检查Windows“磁盘管理”或macOS“磁盘工具”。若多台设备都无法识别，且有重复咔哒声、启动失败或反复断连，不要继续反复通电或格式化；重要数据应优先交给专业恢复机构。
能读不能写
检查NTFS限制、权限、只读状态、磁盘空间和文件系统损坏。Mac用户在重新格式化前必须备份全部数据，因为格式化会清除内容。
速度忽快忽慢
排查缓存耗尽、小文件、USB 2.0连接、线材、集线器、温度、坏道重试以及杀毒和索引程序占用。
