Overview

SureAsset is a cloud service for tracking organizational assets and licenses, managing devices, and accessing real mobile devices for browser testing. It is best suited to teams that need several of those capabilities together; its free plan is a useful starting point, while the paid offer is harder to assess against a budget.

Asset lifecycle management, employee self-service, barcode scanning, remote controls, and testing access serve different needs, so the broad scope will matter most to organizations combining IT operations with software testing. Teams seeking only a focused kiosk or testing tool may find a narrower product a better fit.

Key features

Asset and license tracking

The free plan includes asset lifecycle management, hardware and software license tracking, API access, and automation. Barcode scanning and employee self-service add practical inventory workflows. This combination can suit teams building an asset process without an upfront subscription cost, although no free-plan seat or asset cap is given.

Device controls

Remote management, remote configuration, scheduled deployment, offline-device support, and scheduled reboots give administrators operational controls beyond inventory. URL allowlisting and app and browser lockdown support restricted-use devices, while session reset can return devices to a clean state between users. Third-party patching is also included among the capabilities. These controls are relevant to managed mobile fleets and kiosk-style deployments; the supported management platforms are Android, iOS/iPadOS, and Windows.

Real-device testing

SureAsset also offers private access to real devices for browser testing across Android and iOS/iPadOS. Its stated automation integrations include JUnit, Ranorex, Cucumber, Selenium, TestNG, Maestro, Appium, and Playwright. That breadth may appeal to teams that want mobile testing alongside asset and device administration, but it does not by itself make the asset features necessary for a testing-only team.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes asset lifecycle management, hardware and software license tracking, API access, and automation. It is a sensible entry point for teams evaluating those workflows, but the plan description does not state a user, device, or asset quota.

Paid plans start at 2.49 /mo. The price is a useful starting signal, but without a stated billing currency, term, included seats, or paid-plan feature breakdown, it is difficult to compare the paid tier with alternatives or forecast total cost. Teams with requirements beyond the free plan should confirm the applicable terms before committing.

Platforms

SureAsset is listed for Android, iOS, macOS, Linux, web, and Windows. Device-management controls specifically support Android, iOS/iPadOS, and Windows, while private real-device testing covers Android and iOS/iPadOS. These distinctions matter: broad platform availability does not mean every management or testing function applies to every platform.

Who it's for

SureAsset is a strong candidate for IT teams that need asset and license records, mobile-device controls, and mobile browser testing in one cloud service. Its free plan lowers the barrier to starting asset workflows, and the API and automation support can help teams connect processes. It is less compelling for buyers who need transparent paid-plan quotas and terms before evaluating a purchase, or for organizations that only need one specialized kiosk or device-farm function.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free plan combines lifecycle management, hardware and software license tracking, API access, and automation, giving teams more than a basic inventory starting point.
Pro: Remote controls, lockdown, patching, scheduled deployment, and offline support address practical fleet-management needs.
Pro: Private real-device browser testing and a range of named automation integrations extend its appeal to mobile QA teams.

Alternatives

For a focused kiosk-browser choice, Kiosker has a free plan and trial, supports Android and iOS, and lists monthly and yearly subscriptions. Kiosk may suit buyers wanting a free option across web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. FreeKiosk is another free option for Android and web, while KioskFrame offers a freemium choice for iOS.

For Linux kiosk use, consider freemium Linutop Kiosk; for a free web and Android option, consider UniKiosk. Hexnode Kiosk Browser is a paid alternative with a free trial and Android, iOS, and Windows support; its listed Pro plan is 2.20 USD per month, billed starting with 15 devices and including 15 devices and 2 technicians. KioWare is a paid alternative with a free trial and support for Android, API, Linux, self-hosted, and Windows deployments.

Readers comparing categories rather than individual products can browse Kiosk Browsers, Kiosk Management Software, Device Farm Software, Patch Management Software, Mac Management Software, and Unified Endpoint Management Software.

Verdict

Choose SureAsset if your team wants asset and license tracking with device-management controls, or if mobile testing access is valuable alongside those operations. The free plan's combination of lifecycle management, tracking, API access, and automation is its clearest advantage. Look elsewhere if your decision depends on transparent paid-plan terms or if a specialized kiosk or testing tool is all you need.
