Overview

The product brings invoice tracking, collection workflows, payment predictions, reporting, and customer payments together. Buyers can choose cloud-native Alevate AR or SAP-embedded collections, making it a plausible fit both for organizations adopting a cloud service and those working within SAP environments. The trade-off is a product aimed at structured finance operations rather than a simple, standalone collections utility.

Key features

Collections and dispute workflows

Customizable automated workflows support collections, invoice tracking, and disputes, with processes guided by globally set policies. This is useful for teams that need consistent follow-up across collections cases and invoices; organizations with only basic reminder needs may not benefit from that level of workflow capability. Automated reminders can be sent by email or through the customer portal.

Payment prediction and task management

Machine learning predicts expected payment dates, giving collectors another signal when deciding which accounts to prioritize. Users can assign and manage tasks, set reminders for customers and invoices, and review activity logs. Prediction is paired with tools for follow-up, though the product does not promise that a forecast will determine when a customer actually pays.

Reporting and integrations

Teams can create and share reports, export them to PDF or Excel, and set access permissions. The listed ERP integrations include SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Infor, and Epicor, a useful range for companies whose collections work must connect to finance systems. FS² Collections is described as integrated with SAP S/4HANA and ECC6.

Customer payments and support

The self-service portal gives customers 24×7 account access and online payment capability, with automatic cash posting. That can connect customer payment activity to the collections process rather than leaving the portal as a separate channel. Serrala offers 24/7 email support and a support ticket portal for customers with access.

Pricing

Serrala Collections Management is paid software with custom pricing; the product page invites buyers to book a demo. No trial offer is stated. A demo-first, quote-based purchase suits organizations evaluating a broader finance workflow, but buyers comparing budgets will need to contact Serrala before they can assess cost. No seat or usage caps are stated.

The named Serrala Collections Management plan includes automated reminders, dispute management, advanced workflow automation, a customer payment portal, and accounting integrations. That combination makes the plan more relevant to teams needing end-to-end collections capabilities than to buyers seeking only a narrow reminder function.

Platforms

The product is listed for API, self-hosted, and web platforms. Serrala describes Alevate AR as cloud-native and also offers SAP-embedded collections, including FS² Collections for SAP S/4HANA and ECC6. Those options can suit different deployment environments; teams should confirm which edition and deployment align with their requirements when arranging a demo.

Who it's for

Serrala targets credit, AR, and wider order-to-cash teams handling overdue accounts and collections cases, including enterprise finance organizations. Its policy-led workflows, ERP integrations, reporting permissions, and customer portal are most persuasive when multiple people or processes need coordination. The company says its automated workflows can reduce DSO by 10% to 30%, workloads by up to 25%, and bad debt by more than 10%; those are Serrala's stated potential outcomes, not a guarantee for every deployment.

Pros and cons

Pros: Configurable workflows cover collections, invoice tracking, and disputes, which helps teams structure follow-up around shared policies.
Pros: Payment predictions, task management, activity logs, and reporting bring prioritization and operational oversight into the same collections process.
Pros: Cloud-native and SAP-embedded options, plus integrations with five named ERP providers, give established finance teams deployment and integration choices.
Cons: Custom pricing and a demo-led sales process make it difficult to compare cost before engaging Serrala.
Cons: The focus on configurable finance workflows may be excessive for a small team that needs only basic reminders.

Verdict

Choose Serrala Collections Management if your credit, AR, or order-to-cash teams need policy-led collection and dispute workflows connected to ERP operations, with customer payments and reporting alongside follow-up. Its main advantage is the combination of configurable automation and cloud-native or SAP-embedded deployment. Look elsewhere if a simple tool or a price you can evaluate without a demo is more important.
