Overview

PushFar combines a mentoring platform for organisations with an open network for people seeking or offering mentorship. It suits HR and learning teams that want to shape and oversee a structured program, while the free individual network is a practical starting point for one-to-one mentoring. The trade-off is that organisations must request pricing and a demo before they can judge the cost.

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in London, UK, PushFar serves businesses, educational institutions and professional organisations. It sits in the Mentoring Software category; organisations considering wider workforce tools can also browse Talent Marketplace Software.

Key features

Program design and matching

Administrators can customise branding, questions, approvals, settings and matching rules. They can use AI-assisted matching, make pairings themselves or let participants choose. That range gives organisations room to balance central control with participant choice; templates and matching workflows can help make a program repeatable. It may be more flexibility than a small, informal mentoring group needs.

Participant tools and reporting

Participants can set goals, schedule meetings, exchange private messages and use built-in video calling. Reporting covers mentoring activity, goals, meetings, feedback and surveys, giving administrators several ways to track participation and progress. This is useful for teams that need program oversight, though the stated reporting scope alone does not establish how a particular organisation will measure outcomes.

Integrations, security and support

PushFar documents SSO, calendar syncing, and Microsoft Teams and Zoom integrations; Workday and other systems can be connected through an account manager. Its security measures include GDPR controls, role-based access and two-factor authentication for the administration panel. Organisational customers also receive account-based support, onboarding, training and ongoing customer success. These provisions suit managed programs, but the service's support and integration arrangements are tied to organisational use.

Participants can join through unique registration links, SSO, CSV imports or APIs. The platform supports central administration and cohort management, and PushFar says programs can scale from teams of 50 to 50,000. That makes it relevant to both contained cohorts and large initiatives, though organisations should weigh the custom-priced model against their own scale and requirements.

Pricing

The Open mentoring network costs 0.00 USD per free. Individuals can use it to find a mentor, become a mentor or do both. It is the clear choice for people pursuing individual mentoring, but it is not the priced organisational platform for managing a structured program.

The Organisational mentoring platform has custom pricing: a demo is required and pricing is on request. It is aimed at organisations needing program setup, matching, reporting and support. Because no organisational price is given, teams cannot compare its cost with a budget without contacting PushFar.

Platforms

PushFar supports web, iOS and Android, along with an API. Mobile apps extend access beyond the browser, while SSO and calendar integrations support organisational workflows.

Who it's for

PushFar is best suited to businesses, educational institutions and professional organisations—particularly HR and learning and development teams—running a managed mentoring program. Its control over program design, matching and cohorts is a stronger fit for structured initiatives than for groups that need only a simple way to connect. Individuals who want to find or offer mentorship can use the free network without taking on an organisational plan.

Pros and cons

Pros

Multiple matching routes: AI assistance, administrator matching and participant self-selection let program owners choose how much control participants have.
Useful program oversight: Reporting covers activities, goals, meetings, feedback and surveys, while administrators can tailor program rules and approvals.
Organisational provisions: SSO, access controls, onboarding and ongoing customer success support managed deployments.
Free individual access: People can find or become a mentor without paying for the open network.

Cons

Organisational cost is opaque: Pricing requires a request and demo, making upfront budget comparison difficult.
Designed for programs, not just casual connections: Its administrative controls and cohort tools are most relevant when an organisation is prepared to manage a structured initiative.

Alternatives

MentorCity is another freemium option with a free plan and web, iOS, Android and API support. Its Standard plan describes messaging and file sharing, meetings and availability, video conferencing, goals, mentoring agreements and surveys; consider it when those tools are central to your decision.

Mentorloop has a free plan and a Pro plan starting at 299.00 USD per month, aimed at simple programs and designed for non-profits and community groups. It may suit a community organisation that wants a stated starting price instead of PushFar's request-based organisational pricing.

Qooper uses custom pricing based on program scope, participant volume and organisational requirements. It is worth considering if you want a quote framed around those factors.

Together offers custom solutions priced by learner numbers, match types and program goals, with charges based on actively matched participants and implementation and support included. It may fit organisations that prefer those pricing criteria.

Affirmity Employment Law Navigator is a paid, web-based alternative with pricing by request.

Mentoring Complete is another alternative, available on web, iOS and Android.

Chronus is a paid option with no free plan. Its Unleash Performance plan supports up to 1,000 licenses and unlimited programs, with Culture & Community Building as an add-on.

Mentor Collective is another paid, web-based alternative.

Verdict

Choose PushFar if you are an organisation that needs configurable matching, central program administration and participant reporting, or an individual who wants a free mentoring network. Its main advantage is the combination of structured organisational tools and a no-cost route for individuals. Look elsewhere if your organisation needs a clear upfront price before arranging a demo, or if a full program-management platform is more than your mentoring effort requires.
