Overview

Viesus analyzes image conditions and subject characteristics to guide its enhancement steps. It can remove noise and artifacts, upscale with face reconstruction, correct color, contrast, brightness and sharpness, and crop around faces. PDF enhancement extends the product beyond image files to document workflows.

For unattended work, Viesus offers command-line, batch, hot-folder and PDF enhancer tools, as well as SDKs and an API. Desktop SDKs run on Windows, macOS and Linux; mobile SDKs support iOS and Android with local offline processing. Viesus Cloud delivers enhancement through a web app or API using GPU servers. JPEG, TIFF and PDF are among the supported formats.

The range suits businesses that need repeatable processing or want to integrate enhancement into their own systems. It is less compelling for someone seeking only occasional manual edits: the emphasis is on automatic processing and workflow integration.

Key features

AI-guided corrections: Image analysis steers noise and artifact removal, upscaling with face reconstruction, and adjustments to color, contrast, brightness and sharpness. That breadth can cover several routine correction tasks in a single processing workflow.
PDF enhancement: PDF support makes Viesus relevant to document workflows as well as image production. The maximum PDF resolution rises from 300 dpi on Try-out to 600 dpi on Basic and 1,200 dpi on Business, so high-resolution needs may require a more expensive plan.
Automation and integration: Batch, hot-folder and command-line tools support unattended processing. Enfocus Switch users can add the image and PDF enhancement app from the Enfocus Appstore, and Viesus says its Zapier integration is live in beta for running enhancements in existing workflows.
Cloud data handling: Viesus Cloud terms state that customer content and output are not used to train, develop or improve models or products without prior written consent. Content and output are automatically deleted no later than 30 days after processing, or sooner if configured.
Integration support: Developer documentation, demo applications and professional technical support are provided for SDK integrations, useful for teams building Viesus into a product or production system.

Pricing

Viesus uses credits, and the distinction between traditional and AI enhancement matters: a traditional image enhancement costs 1 credit, while an AI image enhancement costs 4. A monthly credit allowance can therefore cover fewer images when using AI processing.

Plan	Price	What it includes	Best fit
Try-out	0.00 USD per free, billed for a lifetime	50 credits, AI upscaling and AI face reconstruction, AI artifacts removal, full API access, and PDF up to 300 dpi	Evaluating the workflow or processing a small number of images; 50 credits go quickly if each enhancement uses AI.
Basic	10.00 USD per month, billed /month	400 credits/month, 200-credit top-ups for $5.00, roll-over credits, and PDF up to 600 dpi	Regular but moderate workloads that benefit from unused credits rolling over and a higher PDF limit than Try-out.
Business	90.00 USD per month, billed /month	5,000 credits/month, auto top-up of 2,500 credits for $33.00, roll-over credits, fastest processing, and PDF up to 1,200 dpi	Higher-volume work or workflows that need the highest stated PDF resolution and fastest processing.
Enterprise	Custom pricing; reach out for a quote	Custom credit amount and premium support	Organizations that need a tailored credit amount and premium support.

The free Try-out plan has a fixed 50-credit allowance, while Basic and Business charge monthly and provide recurring credits. Basic’s paid top-ups offer a way to extend its allowance; Business adds automatic top-ups and the fastest processing, but costs substantially more. Viesus also offers a 20-day Viewer standalone trial license, separate from the lifetime Try-out plan.

Platforms

Viesus supports Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows, web, API and self-hosted use. Mobile SDKs can process locally offline, while cloud enhancement runs through a web app or API. This range makes it adaptable to teams that need both integrated software workflows and cloud access.

Who it's for

Viesus is aimed at small, medium and large businesses in the photo industry, and is best suited to teams processing enough images for automation, batch tools or SDK integration to matter. It also fits workflows that need PDF enhancement. Occasional editors who do not need automation, API access or large-scale throughput may find the credit-based plans more than they need.

Pros and cons

Pro: The combination of image correction, AI upscaling, face cropping and PDF enhancement covers several production needs in one toolset.
Pro: SDKs, API access and unattended processing tools support integration into existing pipelines; mobile SDKs also support local offline processing.
Pro: Business offers 5,000 monthly credits, roll-over credits and a 1,200 dpi PDF limit for larger workloads.
Con: AI enhancements cost four times as many credits as traditional enhancements, making effective capacity depend heavily on the processing mix.

Verdict

Choose Viesus if your business needs automated image and PDF processing, especially when API, SDK or unattended workflows can save repeated manual effort.
