Overview

Teamdeck combines team scheduling, leave management, time tracking, and reporting in one resource-planning product. It is best suited to managers coordinating people across projects who want to plan and review work in the same system. The main caveat is membership: Light Members can appear in plans and reports but cannot access the app.

Key features

Scheduling and availability

The calendar brings together bookings, availability, vacations, time off, timesheets, and project milestones. Capacity and workload management, resource requests, and skills matching support staffing decisions, while daily planning sets the granularity. That makes Teamdeck a practical fit for ongoing allocation and absence planning, but not a choice for teams that need a finer planning interval.

Time tracking and reporting

Full Members can track time, manage leave, and use reports. Reports cover team utilization, time off, payroll based on timesheets, project budgets, KPIs, and custom reporting. This range helps managers review both allocations and recorded work; the feature split means users who need to enter time or manage leave require Full Member access.

Mobile, integrations, and security

iOS and Android apps support time tracking, timesheets, and calendar browsing. Built-in integrations include Podio, Sage HR, Slack, and Google Calendar; Teamdeck also describes Zapier integration and an API for bespoke resource-management workflows.

Enterprise adds customizable permissions, audit logs, and advanced security and compliance. Teamdeck identifies GDPR as the framework for its personal data information notice. Enterprise also includes priority support, 24/7 support, and guaranteed response times through an SLA, which may matter to organizations with support and compliance requirements.

Pricing

Teamdeck uses a freemium model, with a free plan and a 14-day trial that does not require a credit card. The paid plans offer monthly payment or yearly payment with a 10% saving.

Startup: 0.00 USD per free, billed monthly, for up to 6 team members. It gives small teams a no-cost way to plan, but the member cap limits its reach.
Light Member: 2.00 USD per month. Light Members are listed on the calendar and in reports and can be included in resource planning, but have no app access. This can suit people who need to be accounted for rather than use the product themselves.
Full Member: 6.00 USD per month. This includes full app access, resource planning, time tracking, leave management, and reports. It is the relevant tier for people who need to work directly in Teamdeck, at three times the listed monthly price of Light Member.
Enterprise: custom pricing. Personalized onboarding, a dedicated account manager, custom integrations, advanced security and compliance, and priority support with an SLA make this the tier for organizations needing tailored deployment or service commitments.

The seat distinction is central to budgeting: Light Member is cheaper but cannot use the app, while direct access and time tracking require Full Member. Startup is capped at six team members.

Platforms

Teamdeck is available on web, iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and through an API. The mobile apps support time tracking, timesheets, and calendar browsing.

Who it's for

Teamdeck names project management heads, team managers, HR leaders, and resource managers as intended users. It is most compelling for teams that need shared scheduling, leave and availability visibility, and reports alongside time tracking.

Pros and cons

Pro: Scheduling, availability, leave, time tracking, and reporting sit within one resource-planning product, reducing the need to separate those functions.
Pro: Reports span utilization, time off, payroll from timesheets, budgets, KPIs, and custom reporting, giving managers multiple views of team work.
Pro: Light Members can be included in planning and reports for 2.00 USD per month without being given app access.
Con: Light Members cannot access the app; people who need time tracking, leave management, and direct use require the 6.00 USD per month Full Member plan.
Con: The free Startup plan covers up to 6 team members, so it may not accommodate larger teams.
Con: Planning is listed as daily, which may not suit teams needing more granular scheduling.

Alternatives

For a different resource-management shortlist, see Resource Management Software; for tools centered on tracking hours, see Time Tracking Software.

Mosaic is worth considering if its free Starter plan's task management, portfolio management, time tracking, timesheets, and project and resource planning match your needs; it includes three free projects.
Choose Ganttic if its free plan's limit of 10 resources, with unlimited users and projects, suits your team.
Tempo Portfolio Manager may fit a small team that can work within its free plan's limits of 10 members, 3 projects, and 300 tasks.
Consider LibrePlan if you want an open-source, self-hosted community edition with no license fee.
Rapla is another free option.
Napta is a paid alternative.
Consider Tempus Portfolio if you want pricing tailored to planning needs, team size, and implementation goals.
eResource Scheduler is a paid alternative with a 2.00 USD per month Authentication Plus plan billed per resource.

Verdict

Teamdeck is a strong choice for managers who want scheduling, leave, time tracking, and reporting together, especially when some people only need to appear in plans and reports. Its main reason to look elsewhere is the access split: teams whose members need to work in the app must budget for Full Member seats, not the lower Light Member tier.
