Overview

Routific is a delivery management platform for last-mile businesses that need to plan routes, coordinate drivers and keep customers updated. It is a strong fit for food, grocery, farm, florist and courier operations managing regular delivery workloads. Its connected delivery workflow is a clear strength, but the 100-order free-plan ceiling and paid pricing from 150.00 USD per month make it a less natural fit for occasional or low-volume use.

Key features

The route optimizer weighs driver preferences, business priorities and traffic patterns, so planning is aimed at workable delivery days rather than route distance alone. Dispatchers can rearrange stops on a map or timeline and add late deliveries. Time-window planning, recurring routes and automatic reoptimization add useful flexibility for scheduled or changing work. The maximum of 1,000 stops, however, may constrain very large routing jobs.

Drivers receive assigned routes and delivery instructions in the mobile app, with navigation through Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps. Live GPS tracking shows driver locations and updated ETAs; Routific says it tracks drivers only during working hours. Automated tracker links let customers follow an approaching driver and receive a completion notice, reducing the need for manual status updates.

Drivers can collect signatures and multiple photos as proof of delivery. That audit trail is useful when a delivery is disputed. Email notifications are included, while SMS is excluded from the free plan and available as an add-on for a quote.

APIs and real-time webhook events support integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Zoho and BigCommerce. Shopify is described as a two-way integration. Routific's privacy policy says it uses US data-hosting providers, SSL-secured communications and salted password hashes, while acknowledging it cannot guarantee absolute security. A view-only support dashboard is included across plans.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and supports up to 100 orders a month, with all features except SMS notifications. It is a meaningful way for a small operation to use the core delivery workflow, but the monthly cap quickly rules it out for busier teams. Routific also advertises a free 7-day trial.

The paid plan costs 150.00 USD per month for 101 to 1,000 orders a month, a flat price across that range. This is the relevant tier for businesses beyond the free cap, but the step up is substantial for teams only slightly above 100 orders. Above 1,000 orders, volume charges apply: 0.15 USD per month per order for 1,001–2,000 orders, 0.13 USD per month for 2,001–3,000, 0.10 USD per month for 3,001–5,000, 0.08 USD per month for 5,001–10,000, 0.05 USD per month for 10,001–20,000, and 0.03 USD per month for 20,001–50,000. These declining per-order rates make larger workloads possible, though the final bill rises with volume. SMS remains an extra cost by quote.

Platforms

Routific supports Android, iOS, web and API access. Drivers can use the mobile app while dispatchers coordinate routes through the platform.

Who it's for

Routific is best suited to last-mile businesses that coordinate multiple drivers, need routes adjusted during the day and want customers to see delivery progress. Recurring routes, time windows and proof of delivery are particularly relevant to teams with repeat schedules and accountability requirements. It is less compelling for occasional route planning or businesses whose order volume is just over the free allowance.

Pros and cons

Pros: Route planning considers driver preferences, business priorities and traffic, with manual editing and last-minute additions for operational changes.
Pros: Driver tracking, customer tracker links and delivery completion notices connect dispatch visibility with customer updates.
Pros: Signatures and multiple delivery photos provide a useful record for resolving disputes.
Cons: The free plan stops at 100 orders per month, and SMS is not included.
Cons: The paid plan starts at 150.00 USD per month, which can be a steep jump for a business only modestly above the free cap.
Cons: The 1,000-stop maximum limits its fit for the largest routing workloads.

Alternatives

For a lighter route-planning need, Otiggo has a free option with one route a day, 15 stops and five AI scans a month, plus a 4.99 EUR per month Basic plan for up to 100 stops. Geo2 may suit a solo user seeking a low-cost entry point: its free plan allows one user and up to 15 orders per route, while Pro costs 8.99 USD per month per user. Route4Me is worth considering for simpler route planning, with a free plan capped at 10 stops and routes saved for seven days, or a 9.99 USD per month plan with unlimited stops.

Routella is another freemium option. Shipday offers a free Basic plan for up to 300 orders a month and 10 driver accounts, and a 14-day full-platform trial without a credit card. Crisphive may be a better fit for technician teams: its free plan includes five technicians, 300 optimized jobs a month and one dispatcher, with Starter at 79.00 USD per month. DispatchTool is an alternative for teams comparing truck-oriented plans, including Truck GPS Solo at 19.99 USD per month and Multi-Truck at 49.99 USD per month. Drivant is another freemium option, available on web, Windows and macOS. Browse more options in Route Optimization Software and Delivery Management Software.

Verdict

Choose Routific if your last-mile operation needs route optimization tied to dispatch, driver visibility, customer updates and delivery evidence. Its strongest case is the end-to-end workflow and flexibility when routes change. Look elsewhere if you handle few deliveries or cannot justify a 150.00 USD per month starting price once you exceed the free 100-order allowance.
