Overview

Movista is a retail execution and workforce-management platform for coordinating work across stores and field teams. It is best suited to retailers, consumer-goods companies, service providers and distributors managing distributed operations. Its breadth is a strength for organizations that need connected tasking, communications and reporting, but prospective customers must request pricing.

Movista brings together store work coordination and workforce tools, with activity tracked through mobile devices and desktop dashboards. It reports serving more than 9 million retail locations, with 600,000 users worldwide and 26 million completed projects.

Key features

Execution and inventory

Teams can create, assign and validate tasks, supported by scheduling, timekeeping, role management, escalation and approval workflows. GPS verification, time tracking and proof of completion help managers monitor field execution. Offline capabilities matter for staff working where connectivity is unreliable, while audit checklists support repeatable store visits.

Mobile audits, stock updates and in-app item ordering bring inventory tasks into the same workflow. Item management, shelf ordering and returns are optional modules, so organizations should assess whether those needs fit their chosen package. ShelfCheck AI uses image recognition to help identify shelf conditions and product availability; it adds a focused shelf-monitoring tool rather than replacing the broader execution system.

Communications, reporting and integrations

Messaging includes read rates, priority notifications and required-reading acknowledgments, which help managers track whether operational updates reached teams. The Amp app, available on iOS and Android for Movista customers, supports mobile tasking, escalation, reassignments and individual, group and team communications.

Real-time dashboards cover work completion, performance and stock levels. Optional report-building tools add flexibility for organizations that need tailored reporting. Territory, route and schedule optimization uses demand, resource, time, availability and skill constraints; that scope is most relevant to operations with complex field coverage.

Integration categories include payroll, resource planning, expense reporting, payment processing, human resources, CRM and business intelligence. Supported API integrations are RESTful and documented, offering a route to connect customer systems. Movista describes its AMP Core architecture as secure and designed for customer-system integration and AI-based optimization.

Pricing

Movista is paid software with custom pricing; prospective customers can request or schedule a demo. The core package includes real-time task management, validation, escalation, scheduling, a daily mobile dashboard, reporting, messaging, role management, GPS verification, time tracking, offline capabilities, integrations, API access, support and onboarding. Optional modules include item management, shelf ordering and returns, payroll, report building, territory and route optimization, and cross-company collaboration.

Because pricing is custom and modules vary, buyers should confirm which optional capabilities are included and how the package fits their teams before committing. No trial length or seat terms are stated.

Platforms

Movista supports Android, iOS, web and API access. Offline capabilities support mobile field work without a dependable connection. Amp is the customer-facing mobile app for Android and iOS.

Who it's for

Movista is a strong fit for organizations coordinating recurring work across store and field teams, especially when task verification, workforce scheduling, inventory updates and centralized reporting need to work together. Its breadth may be more than a small team needs if the primary requirement is a single-purpose checklist or shelf-audit app.

The privacy tradeoff deserves attention: the app may process GPS location, work schedules, time and payroll details, and uploaded media. The employer determines what personal data is collected and how it is handled. Personal data is retained for the customer contract term and may remain in backup systems for up to 60 days in a non-editable state.

Pros and cons

Pro: Tasking, scheduling, timekeeping, verification and reporting are combined, reducing the need to coordinate these workflows across separate tools.
Pro: Offline mobile capabilities, GPS verification and proof of completion suit field work where managers need evidence of execution.
Pro: Communications provide read rates and required-reading acknowledgments, useful when teams must confirm receipt of important updates.
Con: Custom pricing means buyers need a sales conversation to establish cost and module fit.
Con: Location and other personal data handling is determined by the employer, so workers should understand their organization's practices.
