Overview

Sonalyx handles inbound and outbound calls, interpreting speech, intent, entities and sentiment before reasoning against rules, accessing systems and taking actions. It can confirm outcomes by SMS, WhatsApp or email, and escalate to a human when automation should stop. That end-to-end workflow is useful for teams trying to connect calls to business processes; it is more than a voice interface that only supplies answers.

The platform describes natural turn-taking, interruption handling, context awareness and background-noise handling. Support for more than 50 languages, including switching languages mid-call, could suit teams serving multilingual customers. These are broad capabilities, but the 20-minute Free allowance and single concurrent call are too small for assessing sustained business traffic.

Key features

Business-system access: Integrations include Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics 365, SAP, Zendesk, Intercom, Zoho, Shopify, Twilio, WhatsApp, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Calendar, Calendly, Zapier and Sonalyx’s API. That range is relevant to workflows spanning customer records, commerce, communications and scheduling.
Call controls and deployment: Customers can use their own carrier and phone numbers or Sonalyx’s, with SIP failover, REST and webhooks. VPC or on-premise deployment is an option where required, giving organizations with infrastructure constraints a route beyond a standard hosted setup.
Security and oversight: Sonalyx describes encryption in transit and at rest, tenant isolation, secret management, consent capture, retention policies, redaction and right-to-erasure flows. EU hosting is the default, with regional options; actions, system calls and configuration changes can be recorded and exported. These controls will matter to teams that need governance over automated calls and their records.
Human escalation: Human handoff gives teams a way to move calls beyond automation. That is a useful safeguard for customer-care and technical-support workflows where an agent should not handle every interaction alone.

Pricing

Sonalyx is freemium, with prepaid usage charged by actual conversation time. The published Starter and Professional prices are one-time purchases, not monthly subscriptions; their per-minute rates and included survey-minute bundles are central to estimating ongoing costs.

Plan	Price and allowance	What it suits
Free	0.00 EUR per free; 20 free minutes, one concurrent call and an international number; no credit card required.	A small initial trial, not a meaningful test of higher-volume or concurrent traffic.
Starter	200.00 EUR per once; 400 survey minutes prepaid at €0.50/min, full platform access, no commitment, up to 10 concurrent calls, national numbers and a “Powered by Sonalyx” logo.	A first operational deployment that needs more than one call at a time. The 400-minute bundle and branded calls are the trade-offs.
Professional	1200.00 EUR per once; 3,000 survey minutes prepaid at €0.40/min, standard support, user management, custom reports, up to 25 concurrent calls and local numbers.	Teams with greater usage that need user management, reporting and standard support. Its lower per-minute rate and higher concurrency come with a much larger upfront purchase.
Enterprise	Custom pricing; 10K to 10M minutes billed, volume discounts up to 60%, brand customization, no “Powered by Sonalyx,” dedicated support and a manager, and up to 100,000 concurrent calls.	Large-scale deployments needing high concurrency, branding control or dedicated support; the price must be agreed with Sonalyx.

A free trial is offered, and the Free plan includes an international number, but its 20-minute cap and one-call limit constrain evaluation. The pricing page also describes an enterprise pilot live in 7 days and a working demo agent built on a prospect’s content, usually within one working day.

Platforms

Sonalyx is offered through an API, as a self-hosted option and on the web. Its own-carrier and own-number support, plus VPC or on-premise deployment, may suit organizations that need to fit call automation into existing infrastructure.

Who it's for

Sonalyx is a strong candidate for customer service, sales and operations teams handling inbound or outbound calls that must trigger actions in other systems. Its listed use cases include surveys and research, customer care, technical support, sales, bookings and collections. Multilingual teams may value the stated language breadth and mid-call switching, while organizations with strict deployment or governance needs may find the hosting, security and audit options relevant.

It is a weaker fit for individuals or small teams seeking a low-commitment way to explore voice automation: the free allowance is brief, and the paid entry point is a prepaid purchase. Teams that need recurring minute costs to be predictable should also account for billing by actual conversation time.

Pros and cons

Pro — Calls can drive business actions: System access, action execution and follow-up confirmations connect voice interactions to operational workflows.
Pro — Broad language and call handling: More than 50 languages, mid-call switching, interruption handling and human escalation address several demands of live service calls.
Pro — Flexible deployment and oversight: Self-hosted, VPC and on-premise options sit alongside EU hosting, regional choices and exportable audit records.
Con — Free usage is tightly capped: Twenty minutes and one concurrent call are not enough for a sustained or multi-call evaluation.
Con — Paid plans require prepaid spending: Starter and Professional are one-time purchases tied to minute bundles, so ongoing actual usage needs careful budgeting.
Con — Starter retains product branding: The “Powered by Sonalyx” logo remains on Starter; brand customization and removal are reserved for Enterprise.

Alternatives

Voicebot Software is a useful place to compare the category more broadly. Consider Yellow.ai instead if its Free plan’s included 500 monthly units, two-agent limit, 1,000 records and one active campaign better match a web, iOS or Android deployment. Choose SoundHound if a free, ad-supported Android or iOS app—or a one-time 6.99 USD ad-free purchase—is a better fit than business call automation.

Chatbyte is worth considering for a web or API chatbot instead of voice calling; its Essential plan is 45.00 USD per month, or $38/mo billed annually, excluding VAT, with one AI chatbot and 100 conversations per month. Bland AI may suit buyers comparing API, self-hosted or web voice-agent options: its Start plan is $0.14/min, with 10 concurrent calls and a 100-call daily cap. For other paid options, consider Haptik, which offers an Enterprise plan by demo request, telli, which has an API and web presence with a free trial, or Cognigy and Kore.ai, both paid web options.

Verdict

Sonalyx is best for organizations automating calls that need to reach business systems, support multiple languages and retain a route to human help. Its strongest case is the combination of call handling, integrations and deployment controls; its main drawback is the prepaid structure, with only 20 minutes available on Free. Choose it when those workflow capabilities justify planning around usage and concurrency, and look elsewhere for a low-cost, low-commitment voice trial.
