Overview

Yesware brings email engagement signals, reusable templates, automated multi-touch campaigns, and reporting into sales workflows. Real-time alerts for opens, link clicks, and attachment downloads give sellers signals to inform follow-up; recipient and campaign reports help teams assess engagement. Reply detection, multichannel outreach, and advanced personalization broaden the outreach toolkit.

Integrations include Salesforce, LinkedIn, Zoom, Vendasta, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, as well as Gmail and Outlook. Salesforce email and activity syncing is reserved for Enterprise, which makes that tier relevant for teams that need CRM activity connected to their outreach.

Compatibility is a real constraint: Yesware does not support aliases or Send As addresses, and Outlook requires an address hosted directly by Microsoft 365. It has no mobile app, so it is a poor fit for sellers who need a dedicated mobile workflow.

Key features

Tracking and campaigns

Free provides basic open and attachment tracking, while Pro adds unlimited open, link, and attachment tracking. That upgrade matters for sellers who need link engagement or expect to track activity at higher volume. Templates and automated multi-touch campaigns support repeatable outreach while leaving room to personalize messages.

Campaign quotas are the key trade-off below Premium: Free allows 10 campaign recipients per month and Pro allows 20. Premium removes campaign limits and adds shared templates and campaigns, making it better suited to team workflows than individual experimentation.

Reporting, privacy, and support

Pro includes personal activity and recipient engagement reports; Premium adds team reporting. Yesware says it stores email metadata rather than permanent copies of message bodies. For some CRM features, temporary message bodies are encrypted and deleted after transfer. It maintains a current SOC 2 Type II report, available through an account manager under NDA.

Support scales by tier: Free includes email support, Pro adds phone support, and Premium includes on-demand customer success. That makes Premium more appealing to teams that want direct help, though its value depends on whether shared tools and team reporting justify the higher price.

Pricing

Yesware is freemium, with a 14-day trial. The published plan prices below are monthly; the separate pricing note says paid plans start at $15/user/mo (annual), so buyers should distinguish that annual starting rate from the monthly plan prices.

Free — 0.00 USD per free: Basic email open and attachment tracking, 10 campaign recipients per month, Meeting Scheduler, weekly webinar trainings, and email support. It is a practical starting point for an individual seller with light campaign needs, but the recipient ceiling is restrictive for regular outreach.
Pro — 19.00 USD per month: Unlimited open, link, and attachment tracking, 20 campaign recipients per month, personal activity and recipient engagement reports, and email and phone support. It fits a seller who needs full tracking and reporting, but the campaign allowance remains small.
Premium — 45.00 USD per month: Everything in Pro, unlimited campaigns and teams, shared templates and campaigns, team reporting, centralized team billing, and on-demand customer success. This is the clearest fit for teams coordinating outreach, although it costs more than Pro.
Enterprise — 85.00 USD per month: Everything in Premium, Salesforce email, calendar, and activity sync, a Salesforce inbox sidebar, importing list views to campaigns, Salesforce single sign-on, and trusted IP ranges. It suits Salesforce-focused organizations that need those integrations and controls.

Platforms

Yesware supports extension, macOS, web, and Windows platforms. Its email workflows center on Gmail and Outlook, subject to the address restrictions above; there is no mobile app.

Who it's for

Yesware is a sound choice for individual sellers, founders, SMBs, and sales teams that use Gmail or Outlook to drive revenue and want engagement tracking tied to organized follow-up. Teams coordinating campaigns are better served by Premium, while Salesforce-dependent organizations should assess Enterprise. It is less suitable for users who rely on aliases, Send As addresses, non-Microsoft-365-hosted Outlook addresses, or mobile apps.

Pros and cons

Pros: Real-time open, click, and attachment alerts give sellers actionable engagement signals; Premium combines unlimited campaigns with shared templates and team reporting; Enterprise includes Salesforce syncing and controls.
Cons: Free and Pro cap campaign recipients at 10 and 20 per month respectively; Outlook must be hosted directly by Microsoft 365 and aliases or Send As addresses are unsupported; no mobile app is available.

Alternatives

For another freemium outreach option, Mixmax offers 20 tracked emails per month on Free and up to 50 sequence recipients, compared with Yesware's 10 campaign recipients; it may fit better when that free sequence allowance is the priority. Growbots offers a free tier with 20 email accounts, three sequences, and up to 20 emails per inbox per day, making it worth considering when managing multiple accounts is central.

Mystrika is another freemium option. Outplay offers a free forever plan for one user, two mailboxes, and 2,000 active prospects per month, a fit to consider when those mailbox and prospect allowances match the workflow. Regie.ai has a free plan with shared one-time credits for research, enrichment, drafting, and agents.

Snov.io has a trial with 50 credits, 100 recipients, and one email warm-up slot. Woodpecker is another paid option with a free trial.

Verdict

Choose Yesware if your sales work runs through compatible Gmail or Outlook accounts and you want tracking, campaign automation, and reporting in one workflow. Premium is the most compelling tier for teams that need unlimited campaigns and shared execution; look elsewhere if address restrictions or the absence of a mobile app would interrupt how you sell.
