Overview

Shipday is delivery management software for businesses that coordinate in-house drivers, third-party couriers, or both. It is best suited to teams that need dispatchers, drivers, and customers to stay informed as orders move. Its broad delivery workflow is the main draw; per-order charges and tier-specific access make it important to match the plan to expected volume and staffing.

Key features

Dispatch management, live delivery tracking, and customer notifications cover the core steps from assigning an order to keeping its recipient updated. Drivers use a mobile app for order information, routes, updates, chat, and proof of delivery by photo or signature. This combination suits operations that need a delivery record and visibility during fulfillment, not just route planning.

Shipday supports in-house drivers alongside built-in access to third-party delivery services, and lists more than 100 integrated partners. Its AI features span review automation, coaching, calls, dispatch, reports, and customer chat. Those capabilities broaden the platform beyond basic dispatch, but the $19 entry tier is not a substitute for checking which plan supports the tools a business needs.

The company says its advanced route planning can deliver up to 30% faster. That is a vendor claim, not a guaranteed improvement for every fleet. API and webhook access requires Professional, so teams that need those connections should budget for the $39/month plan rather than assume they come with the lower-priced tier.

Shipday is available on web, phone, and tablet, with API access also part of its platform offering. Support is available by phone, email, online chat, and in-app chat; phone support hours are 9 am to 6 pm PST, Monday through Saturday. Shipday says it serves more than 6,000 businesses across more than 100 countries and has delivered more than 30 million orders.

Pricing

Shipday has a free plan and paid monthly plans, with a 14-day trial of the full platform that requires no credit card. The free tier is useful for a small operation testing a real workflow, but its 300-order monthly ceiling, 10 driver accounts, and single dispatch account leave limited room for a growing team.

Plan	Price and order terms	Best fit
Basic	0.00 USD per free; free forever. Up to 300 orders/month, 10 driver accounts, and 1 dispatch account.	Small teams that can stay within the free monthly volume and account caps.
Professional Lite	19.00 USD per month. 300 orders included, then $0.04 per additional order; no order limits. 15 driver accounts, 5 dispatch/staff accounts, and 5 admin users.	Businesses needing more staff access than Basic offers, while keeping a defined driver cap.
Professional	39.00 USD per month. 300 orders included, then $0.04 per additional order; unlimited driver accounts and unlimited paid orders, with up to 5 users.	Teams needing API and webhook access or unlimited driver accounts, provided five users are enough.
Branded Premium	39.00 USD per month. 300 orders included, then $0.04 per additional order; up to 15 users.	Businesses that need more user capacity than Professional's five-user limit.
Elite	99.00 USD per month. 300 orders/month; $0.20 per additional order.	Teams weighing a higher monthly fee against a stated monthly allowance and overage rate.
Business AI	349.00 USD per month. 1,000 orders included, then $0.25 per additional order.	Operations seeking the Business AI tier and able to assess its order allowance against volume.
Enterprise	Starts at $2,499/month. Multi-location delivery operations, enterprise security, full AI Agents suite, and a dedicated team.	Large or multi-location operations needing the stated enterprise package.

The low starting price comes with meaningful limits: Professional Lite adds driver and staff capacity but still charges per order above 300, while Professional raises the driver allowance to unlimited and unlocks API and webhooks but caps users at five. Branded Premium costs the same as Professional and raises the user ceiling to 15, but its stated terms do not include Professional's unlimited-driver or API access benefits. Compare the order and seat limits before choosing on price alone.

Platforms

Shipday is available on web, phone, and tablet, and drivers use a mobile app for routes, updates, chat, and proof of delivery. The listed platform categories include web and API, with driver apps for both major mobile platforms.

Who it's for

Shipday is a strong candidate for restaurants and other delivery businesses that need dispatch, driver coordination, customer updates, and proof of delivery in one workflow, including operations that combine their own drivers with third-party services. Smaller businesses can start on Basic, while teams that need integrations should consider Professional and account for its five-user ceiling. It is a weaker fit for a business whose priority is API access at the lowest paid price or whose order and staffing needs do not fit the plan caps.

Pros and cons

Pros: One workflow spans dispatch, live tracking, customer notifications, and photo or signature proof of delivery.
Pros: In-house drivers and third-party delivery services are both supported, with more than 100 integrated partners listed.
Pros: The free plan and no-card 14-day full-platform trial offer two ways for small teams to evaluate or begin using the service.
Cons: Basic stops at 300 orders monthly, 10 drivers, and one dispatch account, which can constrain even modest growth.
Cons: API and webhook access requires Professional at $39/month, not the $19/month entry tier.
Cons: Professional allows only five users, while Branded Premium's 15-user cap comes with different stated terms.
Cons: Per-order fees apply above included volumes on several paid plans, and the listed rates vary by tier.

Verdict

Shipday is a good fit for delivery businesses that need dispatch, driver coordination, tracking, notifications, and proof of delivery together, especially those combining in-house and third-party delivery. Its free entry point and breadth of workflow are persuasive; the reasons to look elsewhere are tight free-plan caps, per-order charges, and the requirement to move to Professional for API and webhook access. Choose it when those limits align with your volume and team size; otherwise, compare plans and alternatives before committing.
