Overview

WorkRight puts I-9 completion, E-Verify cases, and compliance records into one workflow. Required-field logic, validation prompts, reminders, and correction paths help prevent incomplete or inconsistent submissions while they are being processed. Historical I-9 migration is useful for employers consolidating older files rather than starting from zero.

The system is designed for U.S. employers, including staffing, healthcare, retail, restaurants, hospitality, technology, manufacturing, education, and construction organizations. A small employer with infrequent hires may find this broader oversight model unnecessary.

Key features

Guided forms and E-Verify

WorkRight covers Section 1, Section 2, and reverification workflows. Its direct E-Verify connection supports automated case creation, photo matching, status tracking, and resolution management, reducing the need to move information between separate tools. Remote completion workflows and employee self-service let employees complete I-9s on desktop, tablet, or mobile.

Audit and administration

Actions, edits, decisions, and timestamps are retained in exportable audit trails. That record is valuable when compliance teams need to reconstruct who changed what and when. Two-way HRIS and ATS connections are available through API or SFTP, and a turnkey iCIMS integration is announced. SSO, MFA, role- and group-based permissions, and multi-entity configuration support separation of duties across business units.

Security and services

The maker describes ISO and SOC 2 compliance, business continuity, and secure data handling. Clients have access to a live help desk for technical questions and employer- or employee-specific I-9 and E-Verify inquiries. WorkRight Services add audit-readiness assessments, audit and remediation, remote virtual verification, document review, and outsourced program management, which can help organizations that lack internal compliance capacity.

Pricing

WorkRight uses custom pricing. Cost depends on projected hiring volume and program complexity, and there is no generic free trial; the maker offers structured pilots instead. Employers should expect a buying process that requires discussing workload and scope before committing.

Lite

Lite has 50 monthly verifications and includes guided I-9 completion, document upload and storage, E-Verify management, audit-trail records, and remote completion workflows. It fits smaller programs that need core processing and records. The 50-verification ceiling makes it unsuitable for higher-volume recruiting.

Core

Core raises capacity to 250 monthly verifications and adds a compliance dashboard, reporting, notifications, reminders, data validation, I-9 review and correction tools, and HRIS or onboarding integrations. It is the practical middle tier for teams that need active oversight and connected onboarding rather than just transaction handling.

Enterprise

Enterprise removes the monthly verification limit and adds multi-organization configuration, configurable workflows and approvals, advanced reporting, custom integrations, SSO, and dedicated implementation and support. It is aimed at complex, multi-entity programs; smaller employers may pay for governance they do not use.

Platforms

WorkRight supports Android, iOS, web, and API access. Employees can complete forms on desktop, tablet, or mobile, while API and SFTP options support integration with existing HR systems.

Who it's for

Choose WorkRight when recurring hiring, multiple entities, audit preparation, or E-Verify case oversight justify a structured system. Its services are also relevant to employers that want outside help with remediation, verification, or program management. It is a weaker fit for a company needing only a free, occasional verification service.

Pros and cons

Pro: Guided I-9 sections, validation, reminders, and correction paths impose a consistent process.
Pro: Direct E-Verify case creation, photo matching, tracking, and resolution keep verification in the same workflow.
Pro: Exportable, timestamped audit trails and historical-record migration support inspections and program changes.
Pro: Multi-entity controls, SSO, MFA, and integration choices suit distributed employers.
Con: Pricing is by quote, so budget comparison requires a sales discussion.
Con: There is no generic trial; buyers must use a structured pilot to evaluate fit.
Con: Lite is capped at 50 monthly verifications and Core at 250, limiting smaller tiers for fast-growing hiring programs.

Alternatives

Employment Eligibility Verification Software is the broader category to compare when you want several verification products before choosing a vendor. Consider Right to Work Verification Software when your requirement extends beyond the U.S. I-9 process.

Everee Onboarding+ is worth choosing if a free Standard I-9 and onboarding workflow matters; its Onboarding+ plan uses custom pricing. E-Verify is the simpler choice for employers wanting the free internet-based verification system rather than a full I-9 program.

Patriot I-9 may suit buyers seeking no-charge seat and E-Verify components with storage billed separately. Imagility I-9 Compliance and Verifi-9 are paid alternatives with Android, iOS, and web access. Experian I-9 Management uses quote-based pricing and a demo-led purchase. First Advantage Form I-9 and E-Verify Services is another paid, quote-based option, with additional per-use costs for its Verifier and Notary Networks. S2Verify I-9 and E-Verify offers custom services by request without a fixed published price or usage limit.

Verdict

WorkRight is a strong choice for U.S. employers that need repeatable I-9 and E-Verify operations, defensible audit records, and integrations across a growing or complex organization. Choose it primarily for the unified compliance workflow and enterprise controls. Look elsewhere if you need a free product, transparent pricing, or only occasional verification.
