Overview

The app pairs an Android or iOS device with GALAX’s Windows software, letting you check card status and make selected adjustments from a phone. That is a practical convenience for GALAX owners, but it depends on both compatible graphics hardware and a desktop-side setup.

GALAX, formerly known as Galaxytech, says it was founded in Hong Kong in 1994. Xtreme Tuner Plus is focused on graphics-card monitoring and control rather than broader PC management.

Key features

Live monitoring and overclocking

Real-time temperature, frequency, and fan-speed readings make it possible to keep tabs on the card without sitting at the PC. 1-Click OC offers a simpler entry point for beginners, while advanced overclocking controls give experienced users more direct adjustment options. These controls are relevant only to GALAX graphics-card owners.

Remote fan and RGB control

The mobile app can adjust fan speed and RGB effects remotely. It supports up to 20 ARGB effects on specific graphics cards with ARGB features, so the available lighting options depend on the card. Addressable RGB control and cross-device sync make it more useful to owners who want lighting controls alongside tuning.

Connection and sharing

Link the phone app by scanning a QR code in the PC app or entering the PC’s IP address manually. Wireless linking requires both devices to use the same SSID, which can limit convenience when the phone and PC are on different networks. The app can also capture a system-status snapshot for social-media sharing. Google Play lists the developer’s declaration as no data collected and no data shared with third parties.

Pricing

Xtreme Tuner App is free. The plan is for the iPhone app, requires a GALAX graphics card, and depends on Xtreme Tuner PC software; the Windows download is labeled for gaming gear support and GPU only. There are no paid tiers to compare, but the free price does not remove the hardware and companion-software requirements.

Platforms

The app is available on Android and iOS, with a Windows PC app required for the connection. It is not a standalone mobile tuning utility: its purpose is to link a phone to a GALAX-equipped PC.

Who it's for

Choose Xtreme Tuner Plus if you own a GALAX graphics card and want to monitor readings or adjust overclocking, fan, and RGB settings from a mobile device. It is less suitable if you use another GPU brand, want a desktop-only tuner, or cannot keep the phone and PC on the same SSID for wireless linking.

Pros and cons

Pro: Live temperature, frequency, and fan-speed readings put core card status on a phone.
Pro: Remote fan and RGB adjustments combine tuning and lighting control in one mobile app.
Con: GALAX graphics hardware and Xtreme Tuner PC software are required, excluding owners of other cards and standalone use.
Con: Wireless linking requires a shared SSID, reducing flexibility when the devices are on different networks.
Con: Up to 20 ARGB effects apply only to specific cards with ARGB features.

Alternatives

For a Windows-only AMD option, AMD GPU Tuner is free and open source under the MIT license, for Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) with an AMD Radeon GPU and compatible Adrenalin driver. Choose it instead if that platform and GPU match your setup.

ASUS GPU Tweak III is a free Windows alternative; its product page states no price or usage limits. Inno3D TuneIT is a free Windows utility for INNO3D GeForce 50, 40, 30, 20, 16, 10, 900, and 700 Series cards on Windows 11 or 10 64-bit.

Verdict

GALAX Xtreme Tuner Plus is a sensible free companion for GALAX owners who want mobile monitoring and adjustment controls in one place. Its main reason to choose it is that mix of readings, overclocking, fan, and RGB control; look elsewhere if you need support for other GPU brands or a setup that does not rely on the Windows app and shared wireless network.
