Overview

PageSense combines measurement, behavior analysis, testing, and visitor engagement. Web analytics reports cover real-time data, segmentation and filtering, visualizations, conversion-cycle tracking, and Zia insights. Android and iOS SDKs extend tracking to app interactions and in-app events, with push notifications also supported.

The combination can help teams trace a conversion problem from a report to visitor behavior and then test a change. It is not a complete substitute for every adjacent product category: feature flags are not included, so teams that need them should look elsewhere.

Key features

Behavior analysis and privacy

Heatmaps, session recordings, form analytics, and funnel analysis give teams several ways to examine visitor activity and identify drop-offs. Recordings mask keystrokes and inputs by default; teams can also mask particular page elements and areas. PageSense says it complies with GDPR standards and HIPAA regulations for handling personal health information.

Testing and engagement

A/B testing and split URL testing cover common experiment formats, while server-side full-stack testing broadens the scope beyond client-side changes. A visual editor and audience targeting are supported. Polls, pop-ups, and web and mobile push notifications add ways to engage visitors, though the product does not include feature flags.

Integrations and workflow

Integrations include Zapier, Google Ads, Intercom, Zoho Sites, Zoho SalesIQ, Zoho Forms, Zoho Commerce, and Zoho Desk. A Chrome plugin lets users create and manage experiments from the browser. These connections and the mobile SDK make PageSense relevant to teams coordinating web and app optimization, not just website testing.

Pricing

PageSense uses a freemium model. Forever Free costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 5,000 monthly tracked users, 1 project, 1 month of data retention, and 5 goals. It is a useful entry point for a small site or initial evaluation, but the single-project cap and short retention limit how much ongoing work it can support.

Professional has custom pricing and includes 10,000 to 1,000,000 monthly tracked users, 3 projects, 6 months of data retention, 30 goals, and 30 custom dimensions. It is the more practical fit for teams managing several projects or needing a longer reporting history, though the eventual cost will matter as usage grows.

Enterprise also has custom pricing. It raises capacity to 10 projects and 12 months of data retention, with 50 goals and 50 custom dimensions; its tracked-user range is 10,000 to 1,000,000 monthly. This is the stronger fit for broader programs that need more project capacity and historical data, but buyers should compare the custom quote with their expected usage.

A 15-day trial provides full feature access without requiring a credit card and includes 5,000 monthly tracked users and 3 projects. The gap between that project allowance and Forever Free's one project makes the trial useful for evaluating a multi-project workflow. If a plan exceeds its monthly tracked-user count, running experiments pause, although configurations and reports remain accessible. Support is available through the support center, support@zohopagesense.com, and community forums.

Platforms

PageSense supports web and mobile, with Android and iOS app tracking through SDKs. Its listed platforms also include API and browser extension access. The mobile tracking and push notification capabilities make it relevant beyond web-only optimization, while the browser plugin is specifically for managing experiments.

Who it's for

PageSense is a strong candidate for teams that want analytics, behavior diagnostics, experimentation, and engagement tools in one platform across web and mobile. It is less suited to organizations that need feature flags, or whose tracked-user volume, project count, or retention needs outgrow the included plan allowances. Smaller teams can start free, but should keep the one-project and one-month retention caps in view.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad optimization toolkit: analytics, heatmaps, recordings, forms, funnels, testing, and engagement features support several stages of conversion work in one service.
Web and mobile coverage: Android and iOS SDK tracking includes interactions and in-app events, alongside web analytics and notifications.
Privacy controls for recordings: keystrokes and inputs are masked by default, with additional masking for selected areas.
Trial without a card: the 15-day trial offers full feature access and 3 projects, giving teams a defined way to assess the platform.

Cons

Free-plan constraints: 5,000 monthly tracked users, one project, and one month of retention leave little room for a growing or multi-project program.
Experiments pause at the usage ceiling: exceeding the tracked-user allowance interrupts running experiments, even though reports and configurations remain available.
No feature flags: teams seeking that capability will need another product or workflow.
Paid-plan costs require a quote: Professional and Enterprise have custom pricing, making cost comparison dependent on a sales quote.

Alternatives

Microsoft Clarity is worth considering when heatmaps and website coverage matter most and an unlimited heatmap, website, team-member, and traffic allowance on its free plan is more important than PageSense's stated mix of tests and conversion features.

Crazy Egg may suit teams looking for web analytics, instant heatmaps, conversion analytics, and surveys, with a published Starter price of 29.00 USD per month.

Fullstory is an option for teams evaluating a free tier with 30,000 sessions, 10 user seats, and one-year session replay and product analytics retention.

Matomo is a better match for teams prioritizing a self-hosted option: its Community plan is free forever with unlimited users and hits.

Mouseflow can fit a smaller session-replay use case, with a free plan capped at 500 sessions per month, one website project, one funnel, and one month of retention.

UXCam is geared toward app-focused evaluation, with a free plan covering 3,000 sessions per month and two app keys.

OpenReplay is a candidate for teams seeking an open-source, self-managed deployment with self-managed storage and retention.

Inspectlet offers a free plan for web-based recorded sessions, with a stated allowance of 2,500 sessions per month across up to three websites.

Verdict

Choose PageSense if you want one platform to connect web and mobile analytics, visitor behavior analysis, experiments, and engagement. Its strongest case is breadth, supported by mobile SDK tracking and useful recording privacy controls. Look elsewhere if you need feature flags or if predictable capacity and pricing are essential: free usage is tightly capped, experiments pause above the user allowance, and paid plans require custom quotes.
