Overview

Eventzilla brings registration, ticketing, attendee engagement, and check-in together for organizers of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events, including webinars. It is best suited to conferences, training programs, and fundraisers that need to manage more than ticket sales; the Basic plan’s single paid ticket type makes it less compelling for events with several pricing levels.

Custom forms, discounts, waitlists, and approval workflows give organizers practical control over sign-ups. Event Hub adds a branded attendee app with agendas, networking, interactive sessions, notifications, and navigation, while attendee email, onsite check-in, and exhibitor tools extend the platform across the event lifecycle.

Key features

Registration and attendee experience

Conditional form logic, multiple ticket types, discounts, waitlists, and approval workflows suit events with different attendee paths or controlled enrollment. Basic permits just one paid ticket or registration type, so organizers selling several paid tiers will need a higher plan. Event Hub’s branded app can put schedules, networking, interactive sessions, notifications, and navigation in one attendee-facing experience. The combination is more useful for multi-part events than a registration-only tool, though the attendee app is a central reason to consider a higher tier.

Integrations, payments, and security

Zapier connects Eventzilla to over 500 apps, including Salesforce, Mailchimp, and Google Sheets, and an API supports custom integrations. Payment gateways include PayPal, Stripe, Braintree, Authorize.net, and eWay. Platform fees do not cover the payment-processing fees charged by the selected provider, so total costs depend on both charges.

Eventzilla says its AWS infrastructure has ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2 Type II, and PCI DSS accreditations, and uses TLS 1.2 or higher and AES-256 encryption. It also says attendee data is not shared with third parties or used for cross-promotion. Support is available by help center, email, chat, and phone; higher tiers add prioritized support and dedicated account management.

Pricing

Eventzilla uses a freemium model, with a free plan, paid pricing from 1.50 USD per month billed per registration, and a 14-day trial. The low starting price comes with a meaningful constraint: Basic includes unlimited events and unlimited free registration types, but only one paid ticket or registration type.

Plan	Price	What it includes and who it suits
Free events	0.00 USD per free	For events free to attendees, including simple gatherings and meetups. It does not serve paid ticket sales.
Basic	1.50 USD per month, billed per registration	Unlimited events and free registration types, with one paid ticket or registration type. A fit for straightforward paid events without multiple paid tiers.
Pro	Custom pricing	Unlimited events, free registration types, and paid ticket or registration types. Better aligned with events that need multiple paid tiers.
Plus	Custom pricing	Unlimited free and paid ticket types, plus 5000+ third-party app integrations. Suits organizers needing broad ticket flexibility and integrations.
Custom	Custom pricing	Includes upfront pricing options, Event Hub web and mobile, self-service onsite check-in and badge printing, vendor lead capture, on-demand onboarding assistance, and a dedicated account manager.
Premium features for free events	49.00 USD per month, billed per month	Adds event agendas, conditional logic, and call for papers to free events. It suits free-event organizers who need those capabilities without selling tickets.

Nonprofit organizations receive a 25% discount on Eventzilla’s platform fee, excluding credit-card processing fees. Factor payment-provider charges into any paid-event budget; the platform fee is not the full transaction cost.

Platforms

Eventzilla supports Android, iOS, web, and API access. The combination covers mobile and browser use as well as custom integrations.

Who it's for

Eventzilla is a strong fit for conference and convention organizers, training and course providers, online-event teams, and fundraisers that need registration controls alongside attendee engagement and check-in. Free-event organizers can start at no charge, while paid-event organizers should check whether Basic’s single paid type is enough. Those selling several tiers, or requiring Event Hub and dedicated account management, should compare the custom-priced plans against their budget and workflow.

Pros and cons

Pros: Registration controls include conditional forms, discounts, waitlists, and approval workflows, useful when sign-up rules vary by attendee.
Pros: Event Hub combines a branded attendee app with agendas, networking, interactive sessions, notifications, and navigation.
Pros: Zapier connections to over 500 apps and an API offer both off-the-shelf and custom integration routes.
Pros: Free events can use a no-cost plan, and nonprofits get a 25% platform-fee discount.
Cons: Basic allows only one paid ticket type, a restriction for events with multiple price or access tiers.
Cons: Payment-processing fees are separate from platform fees, so the starting price does not represent the full cost of paid registrations.
Cons: Pro, Plus, and Custom use custom pricing, making it harder to compare their costs without a quote.

Alternatives

EventCreate is worth considering when a small event can stay within its free plan’s limit of one event, 50 attendees, and one user; that plan also charges a 5% ticketing fee.

Eventbrite may suit organizers prioritizing free-event publishing: its free plan allows unlimited publishing, charges no ticketing fees for free tickets, and permits free events of any size.

Indico is an option for teams seeking free, open-source software they can self-host.

Luma may fit organizers who need unlimited free events and guests per event, with up to 500 invitations or newsletters per week and three calendar admins on its free plan.

Event Schedule is another freemium event product to consider.

Evento is a free option for events.

Hi.Events may appeal to organizers who want a cloud plan with unlimited events and ticket types and no monthly fee, while accepting a 1.25% + $0.60 fee on paid tickets, added at checkout by default.

RegFox is another freemium alternative to compare.

Verdict

Choose Eventzilla if your event needs registration controls, attendee engagement, and check-in in one platform, particularly for conferences, training, or fundraisers. Its breadth and Event Hub are the main reasons to choose it; look elsewhere if Basic’s single paid ticket type is too restrictive or if separate processing fees and custom-priced upgrades undermine your budget.
