Overview

Sodales brings conversations, documents, decisions, and outcomes into a single employee case record, with access governed by role. That structure helps teams keep a case history together as it progresses, while an audit log supports accountability for sensitive records. Case management, evidence management, and findings and remediation are included in the named plan.

Configurable workflows apply consistent steps and approvals. Dashboards, reporting, and workforce risk indicators give executives visibility into trends and emerging risks, making the platform more relevant to organizations coordinating cases across functions than to teams seeking only a basic complaint log.

Key features

AI intake and guidance

AI-guided intake identifies people involved, extracts details from employee descriptions, and builds a case. AI agents can recommend next steps, predict escalation risks, and surface relevant policies, grievances, and collective bargaining agreement clauses. These tools target the work of organizing and progressing complex cases; organizations should still ensure their staff can review recommendations and apply their own policies.

Integrations and controls

Bidirectional APIs synchronize information in real time with SAP, Workday, Dayforce, Oracle, UKG, and other enterprise systems. That breadth is a practical advantage for organizations already using those platforms, though buyers should confirm which connections and workflows suit their own systems. Role-based security, controlled access, and audit trails address the confidentiality and accountability needs of employee relations teams. Sodales has announced ISO 27001:2013 certification.

Mobile and language support

The platform supports global workforces in more than 50 languages. Sodales says its mobile app supports desktop and field access; an online and offline app is available through the SAP App Store, with offline-entered information syncing after reconnection. That can help staff record information away from a desk, while the SAP App Store availability is worth considering for organizations evaluating deployment routes.

Pricing

The Sodales Employee Relations plan uses custom pricing, billed as an annual subscription plus a one-time setup fee. Pricing is based on employee count, with configurable modules. Case management, evidence management, findings and remediation, an audit log, and HRIS integrations are included. This employee-count model may suit organizations buying for a defined workforce, but the setup charge and custom quote make budget comparison less straightforward than a published per-seat price.

Sodales is a paid platform with no free plan or trial terms given. Licensed users receive a 24/7 support portal under the customer SLA. Buyers should request pricing and confirm the setup cost, module configuration, and applicable support terms before committing.

Platforms

Sodales supports Android, iOS, web, and API access. Its mobile and offline capabilities are particularly relevant to field-based teams; organizations should confirm how the mobile app fits their chosen deployment and systems.

Who it's for

Sodales identifies public sector, utilities, oil and gas, mining, healthcare, higher education, transportation, manufacturing, and construction as target industries. Its structured case records, approvals, risk reporting, and enterprise integrations make it a stronger fit for organizations with formal employee relations processes than for small teams with occasional, uncomplicated complaints. The maker is based in Toronto, Ontario, and was founded in 2013.

Pros and cons

Pros: A centralized record connects case conversations, evidence, decisions, and outcomes, helping teams preserve case history.
Pros: AI intake and recommendations support both case creation and next-step planning, including surfacing policies and CBA clauses.
Pros: Real-time bidirectional integrations with major HR systems can reduce separation between case work and enterprise records.
Pros: More than 50 languages plus offline mobile entry support global and field-based workforces.
Cons: Custom employee-count pricing, an annual subscription, and a one-time setup fee make costs difficult to compare upfront.
Cons: Its configurable workflows and enterprise orientation may be more than a small team needs for straightforward case tracking.

Verdict

Sodales Employee Relations is a strong candidate for regulated or large organizations that need controlled employee case handling, HRIS synchronization, and support for global or field teams. Its main reason to choose it is the breadth of its case workflow and integration capabilities; its main reason to look elsewhere is custom employee-count pricing with a setup fee, especially if your needs are simple or you require predictable self-service pricing.
